I called when I was on my way and was told they could not take my dog and I would be charged $30 no show fee! Our standard poodle was well-groomed by Courtney for NINE years. Then, one day outta the blue, she tells us that she no longer can do the dog's feet and nails. Duh? Sorta like a physician telling me he no longer treats sore throats? It's a groomer's job to handle a friendly, non-aggressive dog in a professional manner, even when they are getting older. We were recommended this place by a friend about two years ago and we've been going there ever since. The staff is very friendly and I feel very comfortable leaving my fluffy babies with them. One of my dogs is a rescue and therefore, is very anxious around new people, so we are very happy to have groomers that we like. Our dogs are coming out looking great! At times, I thought some knots were just impossible to untangle, but they managed. I love the cute bandanas and bows (for our girl) that they get after their visit. What a sweet touch! Newer to the area, I was very nervous to find a groomer to take the place of my last. However, I've taken my 10-year old Cairn Terrier to get groomed at Two Mutts every two months or so for the past year and have been nothing but happy! I started taking my dogs to this shop when it was Two Poodles and a Mutt. The place had a no frills appearance and the cost for my dogs was reasonable. Then the guys sold the place, remodeling happened and now the prices are jacked up because somebody has to pay for the frills. I get that, believe me. It's the American way! However, when the prices for my dogs' breeds aren't in-line with other groomers in the area, I price shop. I don't mind paying extra if I like the groomer, bows are included, maybe the nails are painted, etc. Until one day... I'm out of town during two of the visits for two dogs. My husband, not knowing any better, takes the dogs to the vet to figure out why they are rubbing their asses on the ground. One office visit plus two anal gland releases later equals me being very, very upset. For $100 for dogs weighing less than 12 lbs, you better not only squeeze their little buttocks, you better be kissing MINE while you open the door for me when I leave the salon. Catch my drift? Luckily, for Kristin, Courtney and Leslie, my husband was incredibly naïve about what a grooming entailed. My next issue is the double and triple.. probably quadruple scheduling. Seriously? You have no respect for my time or my dogs' time. It would be different if you watered them ...maybe gave them a break outside the cage while they wait their turn on the grooming conveyer belt but that ain't happening. A little bit of education does wonders. Do people even know what grooming consists of or are they just consumed with the look? That's a rhetorical question. Shoppers beware, that's all I can say. I think the problem is that Two Mutts doesn't care that they lost my business because plenty of people will pay for what they THINK they are getting until a vet appt. becomes necessary and the patron starts putting two and two together. Things were a lot better before the remodel and the guys' move to New York. I can't drive by Two Mutts without squeezing my butt cheeks together. I have been bringing my Springer Sadie here for a year now, every time she leaves there, she looks like a show dog. They do a great job.

We have been taking our dog to here before the new owners who were great. Not taking her there again. You have to make sure they blow dry your pet with a dryer or they will let them air dry and you constantly have to tell them how to groom your pet. Most of them have an attitude especially the owner. When I spoke with her she also said that some of her client complain all the time, etc.....that's not very nice is it. Also 3 other clients have said the same about the owner but they told me they ignore her as much as possible but have thought about looking for another groomer. read more

50.00 not including tip to wash a 57lb dog. Nails weren't done as good as I've seen them done before and ears inside were still dirty. Don't quite understand why it took 3 hours as well. We almost didn't leave my pooch here because everyone that worked there wasn't smiling and look quite apathetic. We only came here because our regular place and regular groomer (Wolf Gang Bakery/ Izaiah) were not available at the last minute. They charge 30.00 at Wolf Gang to bathe, do ears, and clip nails and they don't require you to drop off your dog for hours. 60 dollars for all that and shave down for my dog at wolf gang. First let me start off by saying that I am extremely hurt that Two Mutts And A Poodle gave up on my dog today...she is a 15-year-old rescue with senile dementia she is deaf and she is blind so frieghtens easily. I have been taking Molly to Two Mutts And A Poodle for several years and today they told me they will not groom her anymore because she is too anxious and doesn't like the hairdryer. She is a 20 pound poodle bichon mix with no teeth. There was no discussion about the possibility of sedation or an anxiety medication prior to her grooming before she comes. Nope just were not going to groom her anymore. ... very sad !! read more

I've been trying to find a decent groomer for years, and was very pleased with the results, friendly attitude and affordable rates at 'Two Poodles...', however perhaps because they are so good, it's very hard to get in during the week. I left a msg on Monday indicating I was available anytime Tues or Fri, and received a callback that there were 'no openings until next Thur or Fri', when of course, I'm not available. I was referred to this groomer by another resident in out building whose two dogs looked perfectly groomed. They are busy and had to book an appointment over a week out for my two dogs. I originally stopped by when we had just moved into the neighborhood. They were very nice and clipped my terrier's toenails when I walked in off the street. I have since had both our Norwich Terriers hand-stripped, and they do a terrific job! It's had to find someone who does this type of grooming, and to find a person who does it well is a real bonus.
