    Seafood green curry
    Stefanie K.

Back again a few years later... I've had Thai at a few different restaurants in London and this one seems to bring me back again and again. Delicious, authentic, comforting Thai food, what more could you ask for on a typical rainy london night. Service is very nice and accommodating of gluten intolerance. I had the seafood green curry with coconut rice and it was delightful!!!

Lunchtime menu is very inexpensive for London. You get to choose one appetizer and one main.

Great deal for lunch with a fixed priced two course meal with small portions which I like. Started with steamed vegetarian dumplings. You get three dumplings with a plum sauce. The sauce was delicious. I had the Pad Kraprow (not sure of spelling) with shredded pork. I ordered spicy hot and it came that way. A excellent dish. Will return.

Authentic Thai food. Taste Sweet. Suitable for Asian's taste bud. Like it, will come again!

On a cool, rainy August afternoon, Two Point offered a cozy respite from the weather, and provided (what I consider to be) the perfect rainy weather food: warm, mildly spicy, soupy curry. I happened to walk in during their lunch special hours when they have a selection of about 10 dishes (a handful of curries and fried noodles) that come with a choice of appetizer (around 5 options) that range from £7.95-£9.95 depending on the protein you choose for your dish. Veggie and tofu starts at £7.95, with chicken, pork and beef in the middle at £8.95 and shrimp and squid at the higher end. I opted for the middle range spice (according to the waiter) the Panang curry with beef (although I really wanted to try the red or green curries, I was warned they were a bit spicier). For my appetizer, I chose something that was described as "chicken and shrimp on toast" (pictured) that turned out to be quite delicious! It was like they'd ground up the chicken and shrimp together, spread it on a piece of toast, topped it with sesame seeds and deep fried the whole thing. I'm probably not doing it justice, but on the whole it was pretty good. It tasted mainly of sesame seeds, which I enjoy. My only concern here is ordering this later in the day, if they change the oil or simply reuse (as I would expect), which would change the taste of the dish. I was lucky enough to have walked in before anyone else, so the oil from the deep fry wasn't overwhelming like I know it can be. Thank goodness I didn't order the spicier curries, my first bite of the Panang curry when it came was probably my limit for spice (be warned, I'm pretty tame when it comes to being able to tolerate spice!) That being said, even more thankful that this dish is served with rice, which is the perfect antithesis to spice. The rice balanced it out for me, and made the dish more enjoyable. Perhaps I will have the courage to try the red curry next time!

Nice thai spot in Marylebone. They have a great lunch set special on M-F for dine-in only. The service was good and the food was pretty authentic. They have a full bar too.

It's in a converted pub, so there is dark wood and narrow staircases and it's a traditional Thai restaurant with traditional Thai fare.

I don't think I'll be back, and I wouldn't recommend this unless you were extremely uncultured and didn't know what real Asian food was like. Non-Asian folks may love this place - so take other reviews with a grain of salt (I personally am shocked at how highly rated this place is). The missus rates it lower than me (3/5 from me), so I give this place her rating cuz we were both... very sad about this. Missus and I showed up at 4pm on a Saturday in May. It was hella busy when we arrived, but quickly emptied out after we started getting our food. This place claims its Thai but they only have the spice part down... I doubt this is actually authentic. Maybe it's Southeast Asian inspired?? If anyone else knows please comment. The portion sizes are predictably small, and I don't think we ordered enough for two to be full, even though it was quite pricey (given the portion size). We ordered the rump cap, curry, clay pot, and a lager to drink. Nothing was that memorable - the rump cap was well made but the curry definitely made us question the cultural authenticity of this place. I wouldn't order the curries here - the meat dishes seem decent though. The ambiance in here is definitely loud, since sound carries - any conversation gets amplified and you can hear every word - even the annoying laughs or coughs are at volume 11 (so try to keep your voices down!). There's a background music track but it's faint and you can only barely hear it when anyone is talking. The restaurant layout is very good for communal dining, but really bad for intimate settings. If I were a dating man (I'm not), I wouldn't bring a date here. The service is also extremely slow - from when we ordered to when we got all of our food was roughly 45 min - which, given how hungry we were, and how empty the place was - inexcusable and really disappointing. Note: mandatory 12.5% service charge on top of your meal.
