It was a great self wash area(they also have auto washing) but they have more options than previous self washing car washes so it's definitely better. Washes my truck with $10 there's also free vacuums. Only downside was the air dryer it feels strong but it's not that strong. But at least they have one so that's a plus in my book. Last of the do it yourself washes. These are becoming like drive in theaters non-existent. You're really asking for problems most times with run of the mill car washes that put you on the Belt and destroy your paint with harsh brushes containing who knows what. The do it yourself option like this gem allows you to hit every area of your car thoroughly and without making your finish look as if you drove drunk into a porcupine farm. It's especially great come winter with all the road salt accumulating underneath your car. The do it yourself in Villa Park is no longer there it's turned into a commercial type which is better than the business leaving all together so Wheaton on main St and here are your options for local options. If you're able to try it out, you'll forget about the assembly line style porcupine pushers. read more

This place is nice. I used their do it yourself service. Water pressure is surprisingly good. They even have a blower for the crevices like with mirrors. Wish they had a way to manually blow dry the car. The blower is too small for the whole car. You still need to bring your own drying towels. I'll be visiting again. read more

This is the only car wash I will go to. I've been using their do-it-yourself bays for years, but I decided to try their touchless automatic wash this winter and have used it 3 times now. I've done the $12 wash twice and the $10 wash once. With new cars getting more expensive and hard to come by right now, I wanted to take better care of my 15-year-old car. That meant washing it more often during the winter. I hadn't gone through an automatic car wash since about 1999. I didn't trust the machines, they didn't do a good job, I didn't want to risk damaging my car, and I didn't want to deal with trying to line up with the gutter thing that pulls you through. There is none of that at this car wash. It's touchless, so no brushes to damage your car. There is no mechanism pulling you through; you just pull in and park your car and the machine works around you. The wash sounds and lights are relaxing to me. I have to say, the touchless wash here is almost as good as what I do in the manual bays or in my driveway at home. I want my car to be completely clean after a wash, and the touchless wash meets my standards. I wouldn't have used it 3 times if it didn't. I also want to say the attendant is such a courteous man, coming over to check on you at the payment machine. It's nice to know the touchless machine here is a good option if I don't feel like using the do-it-yourself bays. read more

I sometimes come here after school to give my Elantra a bath. For ten dollars, My pride and joy rolls out looking like it got a fifty dollar hand wash! I would highly recommend this place, as it is touch-less and will not kill your paint job like some other car washes. This car wash also offers vacuuming and free towels for wiping your car down after. I like this because I sometimes (always) forget to put some rags in my car. I go here often but lately place has lost its self. No soap in the machine and on top of that closed at random times at night when it's suppose to be 24 hours. Machine ate up my quarters today as well and nothing came out of the hoses. Save some cash and go to a good quality plac. I wanted to self wash my car and a place closer to my house was I think "closed for the season" so I drove a few more miles and found this place. It was the middle of winter but the entrance and driveways had the snow removed nicely, so I wouldn't be getting crud on my car immediately after washing it. I don't often carry quarters or dollar bills on me so it was nice that the self wash stalls excepted credit cards. I used to power brush and the power wand for a good long time cleaning my car and the total was only $5.52 charged to my credit card. Not too bad at all. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Reliable touchless automatic car wash. Except the attendant has to come out and work the credit card thing for you because the screen is unreadable, so not entirely automatic. A bit of a hike, but the closest reliable touchless automatic for me where the credit card machines and the wash equipment all work all the time. Nice lunchtime drive on a sunny day when working from home, gets me out of the house, just gotta watch out for speed traps on 64. Decent prices. Decent exterior offerings. Kind of out of the way. Great self service car wash with FREE vacuums. It can get crowded on weekends, so we usually go on weekdays. If you're a weekend washer -- fear not. There's usually only a 10-15 minute wait depending on how seriously people take their detailing duties. We run the full gamut of self-washing because we aren't what you'd call "regular" car washers. However, the car always looks great when we leave. Complimentary towels are available to wipe away any excess suds or whatever else people do with those towels. Again, we're not crazy committed to car washing so we usually just try to blend in and dry off before leaving. Despite the great facilities, I had to ding Tyler a star for a couple of reasons. 1) damn does that time spent washing add up. I feel like we probably spend about $15 by the time we're done and we work up quite a sweat trying to be speedy. 2) the tri-color soap brush was really only one color when we stopped in this week. I think it can be best described as "sad orange." 3) the free towel offering is nice, but they're usually in short supply and could use some updating. The average age seems about 20-30 years. Anyway, go wash your car! It deserves it. read more

So, I had my car wash right after work around 5:15PM the other week ago. There weren't many people there (probably because of the time of day), so I didn't have to wait at all. For a frame of reference there are two automatic washes and four self service wash stations. I choose the automatic touch-free wash. As I pulled in, a man that was sitting by the machine "helped" me. I don't know why he was there because the machine is easy enough to operate (put money in or slide credit card and select car wash). At any rate, I gave him my money ($10) and he went inside and returned with smaller bills. He actually put my money in and gave me the change. MAYBE, the machine was broken and didn't make change, but that situation was a little confusing and the process was not very efficient. Anyway, like many other car wash places, there were about 4-5 different choices. I thought the prices were standard (ranging from $5.50-8.50) depending in the type of wash you select. After my wash, I took advantage of their free vacuums from 6am-8pm. They also offered free air but I didn't need any at the time. The vacuum suction was very strong. It could easily lift up my mats from the ground. So, vacuuming was a little bit difficult because I had to stand on my mats. I don't think there were mat holders either. Oh, and there are about 5 vacuum spots. Again, there weren't many people there, so I was able get a spot right away. Final Comments: In my experience, vacuuming and air are free for customers. So, I knocked off a star because Tyler shouldn't limited those hours if the place is open for 24. My only suggestion to them would be to put awnings to keep you cool while vacuuming. Overall, the car wash was fine and the vacuum did it's job. I'll probably go back because it's the closest car wash with different car wash choices and self service near by. However, if I'll be in search for other car washes with competitive prices and free vacuuming and air. read more

I used to go to Jaws car wash in St Charles as it's the closest touch free car wash to my office. The wash quality was inconsistent - but it was OK most of the time. Jaws is now out of business may be due to the quality of the service... I have been coming to Tyler car wash for three months. Typically I use their $7 touch-less wash. Every time, it gets my car cleaned very well. I've been coming here almost every Sunday with every car I've owned since 2011, ranging from a classic '95 BMW M3, to a 2011 Camaro SS, to my current BMW 335i. They used to be the only touchless automated car wash in the area, and two years ago I would've given them a 6/5 score due to both service and cost. Back then I had never encountered a single issue. Fast forward to today for a minute. I paid the $10 for the premium wash "with wax-like shine, tri-color foam, and streak-free rinse". The first issue: the foam they use is no longer the real tri-color foam which is a mix of products giving it it's color, but an off-brand white foam that they use flashing colored lights while spraying. My main complaints were that my car was A: not clean on the front bumper, hood or rear and B: my car was covered in streaks. Being a longtime customer who's always recognized when I pull in I really didn't want to cause any problems, but I went to approach the employee to ask for a partial refund, and he asked to look at my car. Upon inspection he told me " the wash isn't supposed to get the bugs off, and the car is still dirty because you don't wash it enough. Because of the water streaks though, I'll let you go through again." I mentioned that I was my car every Sunday and asked if he still recognized me to which he responded "yes, of course" so I'm not sure how he thinks my car isn't washed enough but that's besides the point. After going through the wash a second time, he came over to inspect the car again and we both saw all the same issues. I demonstrated how even a wet rag was getting dirt off better than what the wash did. He reiterated that the reason there was dirt is because I don't wash the car enough and the bugs aren't supposed to come off, and decided to ignore the streaks and asked if I'll be coming back next Sunday so he could give me another free wash. Last year I noticed that they bumped every tier up at least a dollar or more, which I just chalked up to changing times and shrugged it off. However, earlier this year is when things started getting very disappointing. This year they removed the undercarriage wash from all but the top two tiers ($9 and $10), and cut ALL tier's dryer time down to 30 seconds. Previously the dryer times ranged from 30s for the (formerly $5) fast wash up to 90 seconds for the (formerly $9) premium wash. They used to offer two free fresh rags per customer to touch-up your mirrors and wheels with, but early this year they got rid of that and started selling rags out of a dispenser for you to dry your car with for $3+, coupled with the reduced drying time in order to make more money. Thankfully they brought back the two free rags per customer a few months ago, but they certainly aren't fresh anymore and there are no longer microfiber rags to pick either. They seem to have cut every corner possible nowadays. The only explanation I can find is that in addition to the other cost-saving, profit-making measures they took they also started to further dilute the soaps and rinses they use. I took pictures of how my car looked after the *second* wash, and you can see both big blotchy dust/dirt spots as well as how dirty the rag got after wiping one section of the hood after the second full wash in less than 20 minutes. The only reason I'm giving a second star is due to the offer of free washes, but they clearly aren't going to help unless something is changed drastically. read more

Beware! After paying $10 for the Ultimate wash with clear coat protectant, my 2 month old Highlander was covered in dots of what I can only fathom to be the clear coat protectant. It solidified in a spray pattern on top of the paint. When I went back I showed the attendant and he said it wasn't from his car wash. That is the only car wash I had been to as previously I was only hand washing the SUV. I paid for a another car wash in the hopes that the stuff would spray away, but I still have the dots of clear coat on it. read more

After reading all the good reviews, I finally drove 35 minutes from Naperville to give a try; Being my 1st time, I tried the automatic wash. Sure enough, as soon as I arrived at the wash (sub freezing p, no one else there) the attendant came out of the office and explained to me how the system works - Nice! Everything went well and enjoyed the wash, my only comment for improvement is the blower, in my opinion, can be stronger as my car came out of the wash with still plenty of water over the car despite I drove very slowly at even speed through the blower... Great service and always nice to know the machines work with someone there to help. read more
