There is a mix of antique and unusual pieces, and modern new stock - which is probably closest to most peoples price range! The staff are really friendly and knowledgable - A real traditional services ethos which is missing from most modern shops. You can have watches and clocks repaired and altered here. The clock shop is the sort of place that any town would be pleased to have on the high street - a quality, independent store that has been around for many years - without getting stuck in the past.

The ladies in the shop were adamant they could alter it to fit me and set about pinning me in to get the right size. And they did it, a size 10 dress taken down to a, well, a size 4 I'd say since I wasn't fitting into any size 6 dress I tried on. It fitted like a glove, both for my year 11 and college proms. The service is second to none, they're always willing to help and it's one of mum's favourite shops (because of their hat collection)

All the clothing I've bought from here has been very high quality. The changing rooms are nothing special but they're not awful, either, and are just, you know, changing rooms. A bit of space to move around and see how it looks, but not much really. Either way. Staff are friendly. Good prices to be found and I'd recommend having a look. There's a quite a bit of variety in the clothing and isn't just all one style like I had prior imagined.

Generally I quite like the stuff they sell, but living in London, JN is not news to me and there are a lot of better places. In Swansea though it stands out slightly as a place to get nice, smart and dressy things. Personally I think some of the styles look a bit cheap, usually because they are so fitted (often stretchy fabrics) but they do have some nice things. Reasonable prices. An extra treat my family likes are the bags they give you - large, nicely designed ones with string handles that you can use again and again. My aforementioned 12 year old cousin likes these a lot. Located in the main shopping area in Swansea city centre so very convenient when in town too.

Great for finding reductions on clothes, especially coats and casual wear. Although listed as 'seconds', sometimes it's impossible to find anything wrong with the garments. There is an excellent selection of brands - the ranges they stock are top of the range - so expect to pay for this. There's a lovely evening collection at the back of the store, a nice selection of shoes, handbags and accessories, and they have started stocking gifts and homeware too! The staff are really friendly, and they have really made the most of this prime location on John Street. The shop is beautiful inside and out - a real asset to Porthcawl.
