I love Better Lawns and Gardens!…read more A few years back when we bought our house, which was newly built and had no garden, we had a hard time find a landscaper. Instead I decided to just hiring a yard maintenance company, and work with them. The first guy I called was George, from Better Lawns, and I hit the jackpot! The Better Lawns crew (usually George plus one of his employees) do a fantastic job maintaining our garden, including when we've been away for extended periods. He's given me extensive planting advice, will finish any hard work that I left undone because I got lazy, and he keeps up very well with any weeds, trimming, and so on. He's also given us great recommendations for getting our irrigation systems installed, and he now ensures that it is maintained (because, as you'll see from my story further down, I know nothing about having to drain them and such). George has even driven me to nurseries and around different neighborhoods to look at various plant options, so I could get a better idea of what plants actually look like once they've matured. And if I buy something at a nursery, I can just give him a call and he'll pick it up and bring it home for me! We've had George "on call" for us too when we were living in a different state for a while and our house stood empty. One cold, early winter morning, when an irrigation pipe burst from frost, our neighbor didn't even need to go through us first, he simply called George right away, who showed up, fixed the problem, and got in touch with us! I'm so thankful for everything George has done for us, and you couldn't find a nicer guy, he's so sweet. I highly recommend Better Lawns and Gardens.
