This is what a pub should be. Run by and for the community; but seriously, go out of your way to visit even if you're not local! Fantastic views, great food and welcoming staff - it's a place I'll come back to. read more

Lovely pub if you live near the minera area. Its gorgeous inside. Its very sinilar to the corn mill in llangollen with wooden floos are white walls. A very nice place to go for a drink. They have a really nice outdoor area that would be nice to sit out on a summer night. I have never eaten here but they have the usual pub stuff on the menu. read more

A remarkable story on this pub. Closed by the one time owner, the local crew came together and reopened the place. Now run 100% by community volunteers, you'd hardly know the bar staff aren't getting paid. Full of good chat and smiling, they make it a fun and engaging place for a night of drinking or a dinner. A few ales on tap and offering ale tasting flights, plenty of champagne and wine, and 3-4 good draft beers along with a few ciders always in stock. Food is above average. Views of the surrounding hills and valley are stunning, and though I've not been in summer, hear the place is quite vibrant. Event space isn't quite engaging, but the rest of the place is set out nicely. Very family friendly. A definite stop-through any time you're in the area. read more

I really enjoyed the food here. They have a wide ranging menu with a lot of vegetarian options. Good for large family gatherings. If you get the opportunity to sit outside in the summer the view would be beautiful across to the other side of the valley. I'm amazed I've beaten my yelping brother to writing the review of this place, as I know he enjoyed it as much as me. read more

Really gone downhill, there was no atmosphere, the food took forever and tasted like it had been in the microwave - very sad as it used to be a fantastic place to go especially in the summer, will probably give it another go next summer and hopefully it will have improved. read more

This is one pub that has seemed to get better and better, they had a refurb a few years ago and it is beautiful inside, sort of a modern twist on traditional pub.Has the most gorgeous view in the summer looking over minera. The food is good, if not a lttle to expensive. Although the quality is there, not enough people know the area and know the pub, and if you did walk in on the off chance you could be put off by the price. Maybe if they had a bigger customer base the price would seem more reasonable. As i live near by i have ate there many times and food is nearly always spot on. there is lots of choice,and sometimes do offers where if you spend a certain amount you get a free bottle of wine. Go there hungry, because the starters are fantastic!! Staff are very pleasant, helpfull and friendly. Definately somewhere to try, i think particularly good for couples or families with older children read more
