There were a few items on my car which needed work (no surprise, it's old), so they gave me a quote and ordered the parts. But then when I arrived they'd managed to actually repair some of the existing parts and didn't need to use the spares, so the overall cost actually ended up being significantly less than they had quoted - a very nice surprise. They were also incredibly apologetic for keeping me waiting, even though there was hardly any wait at all. The other big bonus - free RAC cover with your MOT which is excellent value!

He didn't want to do anything with the breaks as they don't need it for another 4 months and he also said my window wipers looked quite new, was I sure? ...I bought them cheap last year and they're pretty poop do I've got brand new ones now so I can see again, I'm sure the roads of Manchester will be happy!
