A U2 station in a good location. Connects with a bus station with good bus connections. Plenty of shops and cafes nearby. Has its own small kiosk too. read more

Our second underground station in Hamburg, we took the U2 here because I'm lazy and didn't want to…read moreget in a taxi. What's particularly interesting about Jungfernstieg is that it's almost entirely underwater but you'd never know that from the platforms, which are on THREE levels. Servicing the S1, S2 and S3 lines (between Stadthausbrücke and Hauptbahnhof) and the U1, U2 and U3 lines (between varying stations), the station is completely handicap accessible which was useful for us as we were pulling entirely too much luggage. Reasonable signage for connections and the way to the exit, though working out which exit we actually wanted was a bit more challenging. There are over 20 different entrances and exits! The station has four island platforms and there is a staffed service ecnter here plus the usual self-service ticketing kiosks. [Review 12051 overall, 1834 of 2019.]
