We went to U brew it and the set up is great, plenty of brews to choose from.
Myself & my brother-in-law made 2 full brews, a Cisco kid & a full bodied Guinness.
Their facilities are great, brew day a great experience.
We then went a few weeks later & bottled.
1st brew, the Cisco kid, fully paid for 6 slabs in advance, then the brew ran out at 3 slabs!!!
They said sorry, someone must have taken a keg from our brew - wtf... They offered an oatmeal stout in place which they had brewed, I said ok and bottled the rest with this.
Then a few weeks later we bottled the Guiness.
Then over the next few weeks, we enjoyed a few beers.
As of about 4 weeks after bottling, this is where U brew must have a huge issue, everyone take note, all our beers started to taste more and more bitter/sour.
I've researched this in depth, there must be an issue with the brews getting contaminated in their system at bottling time.
The signs your brew is contaminated with unwanted bacteria = beer starts to taste sour & starts to froth out at opening, this has happened to all our beer, all 3 brews, Cisco kid, oatmeal stout & the Guiness. All bottled at different times.
We rang U brew and they pretty much said nothing could be done...
I've since spoken to another mate who went there and they said their beer went off aswell.
I'm writing this review as this was my experience with brewing at u brew, a great business and brewing idea, but if you don't drink your beer quickly after bottling, it won't keep as a home brew beer should.
