My son rented a small truck through the app. Got there and they refused to rent to him because he had a temporary license. I went in to rent instead of him and they refused me too saying that my son would still be the driver. I told them I would drive but was told no so I guess the thought I was lying. My son has a temp license because he is in the Navy. He was stationed in CT and could not get home for the renewal. He is 21 years old, but they did not bother to ask. read more

Had an appointment to have a hitch installed on my SUV at 8am. I drove 1.5hrs to get here by 8am and when I get here I'm told by the idiot Brett (manager) that the mechanic doesn't even start until 1:30pm. Place is a complete disaster. read more

This review is for the manager, a woman, and the u-haul store on west evans Florence SC 29501. I rented a moving van but I got a moving truck the van was not available. I was fine with that we all have to work together. I got to the store around 1:00 pm. the time on reservation it was after 2:30 before I got out of that place. That was the amount of time it took to type information in and run my card. I told management we may have to keep truck longer than one day, she told me no worries that would be fine. Rented on Thursday on Saturday the management lady was calling me, when I picked up the phone all I could hear was her screaming into the phone to bring truck now or she will call police. First the truck was not even late for her to make a asinine comment. Second I wanted to keep the truck out of spite. It's a empty threat. Thank I have no idea what caused her to talk to us that way. Nothing happened that I know of she just called out of nowhere screaming cussing and threatening us. I strongly suggest U-haul look into her customer service skills. She drew me and my husband into some kind of mess she is responsible for not us. Apparently she made some kind of mistake and took it out on me. I had never spoke to her until she called Saturday. Understand when I say she was screaming my entire family could hear her saying I'll call the police. Is this common procedure for u-haul to just call a customer out of nowhere and talk to them like trash. She has a potty mouth on her. Also if she cusses and screams like she did me in front of that child I'll call them myself. She has a lot of nerve talking to anyone like she did me and my husband. She was treating me like a you are caught criminal. I like to know what she was covering up. I would like to know what she told her employees in that store. We did absolutely nothing to warrant her abuse towards me. There are people in this world that would have shot up to that store and told her let's get in on. She really needs to quail down her threats and nasty mouth. I'm just a use to be customer and I can clearly see the problems this woman can cause. Who is asleep at Uhal and not paying attention to management for that store. I will never ever allow her to say one word to me ever again. It's scary to know just how little people seem to care about how we treat each other. I was raised to treat people the way you want to be treated. She could have offered me a reason for the disrespect I was receiving from her. She ruined our day just by her actions. That is customer abuse. If she needed the truck because of a rental what not offer another alternative just like what was offered to me was offered I have never been spoken to the way she spoke to me. This woman represents U-haul as trash. Why is her child aloud to stay with her at work. I had to hire daycare she can't possibly be able to do her job with her child there bored to death. It's also a huge risk. At the rate that store is going I hope your insurance is paid up. Honestly who is even over this woman that allows her child to stay at her job. It's not a office. There are risk to having a child running around equipment. Finally I should not be charged anything because of her abuse to me. She should be responsible to pay that entire bill. She chose her actions let her be responsible so the next time hopefully she will use some kind of judgment and not fly off to crazy land. U-haul, when will I get a response from you? Great service! I had a tow hitch installed at this U-Haul location, and my experience couldn't have been better. First, the manager, a gentleman named Troy, personally called me to set up the appointment for my installation (and, when I later requested to change said appointment, he gladly rescheduled me). Second, the business itself was clean, professional, and easy to find. Then, finally, the installation of my hitch itself was flawless, done capably, quickly, and without issue. Also, a bonus: when my hitch was being installed, the technician kindly alerted me to an unrelated problem with my van (and how to address it), thus saving me much trouble. I interacted with several employees while there, and each one was friendly and attentive. All in all, I have zero complaints about this business, and would return. My thanks goes out to all associated with this U-Haul location. I have benefited from, and am grateful for, your work and service. Keep it up, guys and gals! read more

This operation is run by a fool. They promise adjustments for poor performance and never deliver. Have had a storage unit there for 7 years. Have made a mess of it on too many occasions. Will be moving. Enough is enough. read more

I have had the worst customer service experience with the local uhaul affiliate. My u-pack boxes were incorrectly delivered (one of them was not my box and had someone else's things in it) and I've been given the run around over the phone from multiple offices and while promised, no manager or other knowledgeable person has returned my phone call. I went to the location yesterday evening and the employee there (who hadn't answered the phone for the prior 6 hours) helped me find the correct box and said it would be delivered this morning. So far, no delivery this morning, no return phone calls and no one answering the phone at the location. The overflow customer service line merely told me sorry and have a nice day. I was on a very tight deadline for unloading and unpacking. I will not be using U-Haul again. read more
