I originally walked past this place and dismissed it as it said 'pool bar' outside so I imagined a place full of pool tables. But I had it on a list of places that I meant to check out so I semi-reluctantly came back to take a look.
As soon as I walked in I heard some Radioheadand not one of the predictable tracks. That was enough to send me onto the spiral downstairs to yet another underground chamber (like most of the bars in Krakow), where I found a popular but not too busy dimly lit bar.
They serve a Zywiec porter here. Now I'm not a huge porter fan, it is one of my least favourite ale types, but it was interesting to see the Polish take on it. Their version was a bit safer than Porters I have had in the UK. What I mean by that is it is less likely to offend you than an English porter, but as a result is also a bit blander.less interesting than what you might get here. The drinks options here were clearly advertised here which I appreciated as this is not the case in many place in Krakow, so you could easily miss out on an interesting beverage.
The toilets are laballed John and Yoko, which I kind of liked. I quite like places playing around with the toilet markings as long as it is still clear which one to patronize.
I never did see a pool table. read more
