Rosanna, one of the assistant managers at this branch was extremely helpful and goes out of her way to assist customers. In general, U.S. Bank is better at many things than the other larger banks. Often they're less bureaucratic than other banks. The Ventura Boulevard Sherman Oaks branch of U.S. Bank isn't quite as good succumb to this one if can when you have anything besides simple transactions. read more

I've been a US Bank member for over a decade and I enjoy banking with them and this in-store branch is nothing but warm and personable. That being said they layout is what throws me off not only does this bank sit behind/next to produce, but the ATM is pretty much right next to the start of cold things, condiments and bin displays which makes navigating to get to a teller and/or utilize the ATM a bit congested on weekends let alone weekdays. I waited until I was done shopping to double back here because I had a bank manager, three customers and someone using the ATM all in my path just past the granny smith apples off the first isle on the north side/first entrance off Victory. They're doing a fair job with distancing all things considered, but I'm use to a slightly more functional layout for branches like this that usually sit in the far left or far right front window corners of Ralph's, Vons, Albertsons, etc or have no barriers in place like an entire produce department. You can definitely achieve your banking needs in a timely manner and they always seems to keep things flowing despite the above, but just be aware of your surroundings. They don't even deserve one. I'm leaving this ridiculous "bank" based on my second interaction with this branch of this ridiculous institution. This is the third time and third branch where I've had an issue depositing a Canadian check issued in US Dollars. On Saturday (ok, likely a skeleton crew) I had a teller inform me he didn't know what the problem was, he couldn't complete my deposit, come back Monday. So sorry, not sure what to do. Ok fine, Saturday is t a great day for banking. Until yesterday, when the new teller says to me, "oh yeah, this is a different way to process, I can't explain it, let me read the instructions". Me, the idiot, just stands there for FIVE. FULL. MINUTES. I asked if there might be someone else who already knew the process, she said she wanted to keep reading. I said I didn't have time to stand there and wait. She suggested I contact the Canadian bank about the check. Another woman, at a desk, also informed me there was a different "process", that US Bank has to be PAID BEFORE we can be paid, ok fine, so how long does the process actually take? NOBODY KNOWS. Went to Chase Bank. They informed us IMMEDIATELY how it works, how long it should be. So, Chase apparently knows things my bank doesn't. Bye Bank. read more

I've been banking with US Bank for about 10 years or so. I recently opened my own business so I contacted this branch (I do my personal banking at this location) when it was time for me to open my first business account. I was lucky enough to get Anna as my client relations specialist. As someone who has no clue about anything legal or paperwork business related, she was beyond helpful, informative, and extremely patient with me. She explained everything to me with a great attitude and was happy for me and my future endeavors when I told her the type of work I do. She opened my new account with ease and also helped me open a business credit card account. If I could thank her a million times for today I would. I highly recommend her and will definitely go back to her for anything banking related in the future. This Encino branch is lucky to have her, she's awesome. read more

Service is terrible and management ignores customers dissatisfaction to remove reviews on Yelp, yet Yelp let bank to expose your information !!!! Go somewhere else to bank to save your time and energy!!!! I was out of town and couldn't take out cash from my account. Tried to reset PIN number online, but it didn't work even though I received email confirmation. This branch is down the street from me , so I walked in and asked one lady was on her cellphone behind her desk if she can help me with my issue. She pointed me to 3 people sitting across the teller line. I bypass first two because they looked busy and approached banker Anna. I gave my id and debit card she asked me if I have mobile banking I said yes but I don't want to use it and try to tell her why I was there. She dismissed my issue and she handed back my items to tell me someone needs to help you. WTH !!!! If there is no customer, there won't be bank!!!! I was frustrated because I was on the phone with 4-5 people and nearest branch was 1.30 minutes away when I was out of town. But Anna Gevorkian completely dismissed my issue and acted like I was asking for something from her in her house. I asked for manager , she said branch manager is not here. Other two bankers helped me and I was out there 5 minutes. I really hope that she will have proper training to deliver customer service because that's her job not to be rude and ignore customers issues!!!! I want to commend Jessica Williams of US Bank who contacted me within 24 hours of me posting my complaint to Yelp. She explained to me how SunEdison had circumvented US Bank's measures to prevent them stealing money from my account- SunEdison changed their merchant ID to reach into my bank account again. However, the people at US Bank expedited their effort to get my money back. A process which normally takes ten days was taken care of in under 48 hours. I was resigned to having to move my money to another bank, but I have to say I was seriously impressed by US Bank's response to my predicament. read more

Fraud. I have been frauded several times. This last time it was by the manager. I wanted to print out bank statements. They asked for $200. I gave it to them. 2 months later they over drafted my account. Meanwhile in the past 2 years I don't do any business with them because I don't want to get frauded again. 2 years ago someone stole my card info and duplicated my card. Withdrew $500 from a atm. Meanwhile I was in long beach on the queen Mary 25 miles away. So today I went in to pay them $165 in over draft fees because of the manager. Then the supposed new manager called me dumb and fat. Meanwhile he is over 400 lbs himself. Lol. So he would not close my account. I called the LAPD they came down then the guy changed the hole story. Again I gave him money. No paperwork on closing my account. This bank is total fraud. Also right when I walked in another guy was mad and closed 7 accounts. And my 3. They are on a roll. The bank was much better when it was Downey savings. Now it's complete lack of customer service. And internal Fraud. Stay away. read more

Nice place, people are friendly, and parking is easy. It's never crowded or busy, but I always end up having to wait because there aren't a lot of tellers. They also always have one pen that doesn't work. Good US Bank though. read more

On Thursday, I tried to deposit a check at an atm at a different branch. The branch was in San Diego. The branch manager at this Encino branch decided to put a hold on my account without informing me. When I tried to call her, she said to call back on Monday. I found out of the hold after I was not able to withdraw money from my account. US Bank is absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I can never get a straight answer from them, especially from the bank manager at this branch. She should be fired for incompetence. DONOT bank at US Bank. read more

This bank and this branch (mostly US BANK) are disgusting. They open accounts and then when they dont like your attitude they close your account with out your knowledge.. And then tell you that you cant have your money unless you sign paper saying you closed the account! There kind of racist as well. Not one american works in the whole bank, and i am convinced that they are racist towards Americans!!!!!! I completely totally understand why they have 2 stars. There service is appalling and I recommend do not use this bank. They also use an ATM machine that eats your checks and cash. MOST RUDE BANKER PICKED UP THE PHONE, (She was Armenian. I know this because I've been to this branch many times, I recognized her voice and knew right away it's her. I unfortunately forgot her name and while I was trying to ask for her name, she hung up the phone in my face to not give it to me.) WHILE IM TALKING (in a very calm and respectful manner) AND EXPLAINING MY PROBLEM, SHE TELLS ME "I'm sorry, I have to go" (in a very rude tone) I'm like, what do you mean you have to go? She tells me, "I have to go, I'll have a manager call you back" Not to mention the way she answered and kept cutting me off. I ask her for her name and she just hangs up the phone in my face. Who the hell is this low class rude disrespectful low life? Do you even understand the concept of customer service? This is why US Bank is going out of business and why so many customers are moving their accounts elsewhere. I have a huge transportation business and I wanted to bring my accounts over, not anymore! You just lost a huge business customer because you don't know how to talk to people! The reason for my call today, was to ask for help with a small issue with my personal accounts. You can't even handle that, let alone business accounts that may have bigger problems at times. Her manager Ayda should know who this is, because I left my name and phone number with her and this lady is going to hand my name and phone number to Ayda the manager for her to call me back. Teach this lady some people and customer service skills and how to talk to customers! I have NEVER file a complaint against anyone in my life, but I'm going to file a complaint against this branch with corporate as well to make sure that she actually gets held responsible and disciplined for her actions. In some of these branches, the managers and bankers are buddy buddy and they might just laugh it off and not even care to discipline their employees. I hope the branch manager here is not like that. Great bank with a free business checking account package called Silver Business. The branch manager Marci is very nice and her assistant manager Gohar is very warm. I hope they get another banker to assist with new account setup. They are overworked but beautifully assist all the patient customers. I like the simple banking services they provide. This branch is in my community and has been allowing a homeless individual with a tent to make their residence on the bank property for over a week now--they are also partially blocking the public sidewalk. While I completely appreciate the needs of the person seeking shelter, I am shocked that the bank has not done something to support the neighborhood and report this to the proper authorities so this person can get the help they need (it is illegal to sleep on private or public property). Instead they have simply ignored the issue. I have attempted to phone the bank to discuss this, and guess what,? they do not answer their phone. Seriously, at 1:45pm on a Wednesday afternoon they simply do not answer. This branch should be more of a steward for the community of Encino, and support a safe environment for their customers, employees, and neighborhood. Speaking of, as far as I know, and my mother banks with them, they do not have a security officer on site. Ever. Wow! read more
