I attempted to make a withdrawal and was rudely told that I needed to call ahead. That's fine, until you try to call ahead, and have to go through the never-ending automated answering service game. Tried to pull funds from the ATM today. The machine was experiencing technical difficulties. They charged my account, but it never gave me my cash. Tried disputing the transaction inside and got the runaround. CS is crappy and they were quick to blame it on a paper jam. Not an account holder through them, thank heavens! Now I have to dispute the charge with my bank and have to wait for my $300 to be credited back to me! Absolute BS!! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service with their home mortgages. You cannot walk in and talk with their mortgage department, the staff in the branch have to call the mortgage department. Every time I call myself I keep getting transferred or told I'd be called back with absolutely no resolution to my concerns with my account. I filed a formal complaint and have yet to hear anything back and it's been over a month. I have an 810 credit score, never missed a payment, never made a late and still get this type of treatment. If you are searching for a suitable lender for your mortgage, please don't make the same mistake I did. UPDATE-the representative from US Bank called to fix the issue but never got back to me with a follow up after the initial complaint. This proves exactly what my initial complaint said. read more

I recently moved here from the Midwest and my former bank has no branches in AZ. I have had several accounts with the "Big Banks" and decided to try a regional bank. I was treated very nicely by all associates at this branch. Signed all the paperwork and made a small deposit to get the account rolling. It turns out that there was a very important piece of information that was not explained. When they are flinging paperwork at you for your signature it is difficult to read everything. A good banker will share all the major rules as he/she is handing over the documents. As a new customer at US Bank your debit card use is restricted to $1,000 use per day for ONE YEAR. This was never conveyed to either my husband or I at the time we signed the documents. I have not yet checked all the paperwork to see if this was stated anywhere. I made a very large deposit into my checking account when I closed on my house. I had several large items to purchase for my new home in AZ and was SHOCKED when my debit card transactions were denied. When one of my online purchases kept getting denied, I actually had the customer service rep from that company call into US Bank for a conference call so we could find out why my card was being declined. The US Bank Customer Service Rep told us I had already used my card for $1000 that day and said that there was no way to override the $1000 per day rule. I had several thousand dollars of funds available but US Bank would not allow me to use them as a debit card purchase. They suggested I write a check or have the funds withdrawn using the routing and account number. If I had known this, I NEVER would have opened this account. I already set up several direct deposits to go into this account automatically so the thought of checking out other banks is not appealing, but I will do this in the future. So.... please be advised of this rule and the fact that this restriction is for one year. The USB rep said that your debit card usage could possibly be reevaluated prior to one year, but that won't help me at this point. I have already made most of my large purchases. It's the principle here people. It's my money to spend and if I wish to spend more than $1000 a day using my debit card, that should be my right. Be advised. read more

A little preface for you.. I already hold a personal account with US Bank. I normally frequent the Safeway location on Waddell. The normal crowd there is always friendly and sociable with anyone. Now... I go into this location today, with my wife, we were not greeted. No big deal I don't really care, however, the next four individuals to walk through the door are greeted by both of the tellers. One of them named Stephanie and the other was some version of Anija (i'm positive that's not it but its close). Then another individual comes in and again, nobody greets him. I refuse to perpetuate the racial BS, especially with current state of this country but when the four people are white and the 5th gentleman was brown ( much like myself and my Hispanic wife ) what can you deduce from that? Before the "well they may have been busy" excuse is brought up.. There was nobody else in the bank except for 2 guys getting a CD at one of the Loan Officer's desks. The tellers actively greeted the others while with customers but they were free and clear when I or the other gentleman walked in. Again, I won't perpetuate the racial crap but seriously? Tell me I'm wrong.. This is pathetic service from these sad excuses of human beings at this bank. Upon seeing the treatment these people were giving to their customers, you know, the reasons they have a job in the first place? I left. I went to my normal branch ready to close my personal account because of the foul treatment from this location at Bell & Litchfield. However, the sunny and polite disposition of the employees at the branch inside Safeway is the only reason I kept my account open and even opened my small business account. Normal Corporatized bank....no urgency, piss poor customer service and no real sense of direction. I waited 30 mins to set up a checking account and the teller then tells me "it might be another 30 mins before we can see....but we close in 15 minutes. I had spoken the bank manager here at the surprise location on three different occasions and had the worst experience ever. First I had spoken to Matthew the day shift manger on Monday of this week and had a hard time getting a strait answer on where funds for my account were and was directed to come back later in the week to see if the situation would change. When i had gotten there on Friday I spoke to the lady manager don't know her name but she is a blond lady slender and was extremely rude and didn't know what she was talking about at all. I had asked her the same question that I had told the manager earlier that week and she had made up a false answer to just get me out of the store. I then got stern with her telling her that I was directed to come to this location by her counterpart earlier that week and get the situation cleared up. She then stated making comments that assumed that the check I had deposited was stolen and was fraud and that I wasn't going to get it handled because of that reason. I then told her that she needed to call the fraud department,considering I had already spoken with them, and she continued to tell me what they were going to say to me not knowing what she was talking about at all. I confirmed to push the issue and she called only to find out that she was completely wrong and US Bank had already received the money from the check, but the funny thing about all this is that despite the horrible experience I had and the disrespect I got by accusing me of things that weren't true, it still took me 7 days to receive the money from my check. I am completely unsatisfyied with US Bank and am seriously considering going elsewhere from this experience read more

I showed up at 9:50am on a friday and found a line of 5 people in front of me. The bank had 1 cashier and before I finally reached the front of the line 2 of the people in front of me left due to the long wait. I am still waiting in line and it has been over 15 minutes. There is an EXTREME lack of customer service at this location!!! There are 2 reps, Alex and Rodrigo, who are the most helpful and always present great customer service - they are the reason why this US Bank location is receiving the one star from me! If not for them, and if it was possible, this location would receive zero stars. The worst rep is Karen! Very ugly attitude, seriously cannot count unless given a calculator. We're talking basic, elementary school math on multiple occasions. Not to mention, there have been multiple times where I've been in line with 4 people behind me, while there are 2-3 reps behind the counter discussing breaks & vacations. It does not matter to them that there are merchants or regular customer account holders in line. For the most part, there is no care given to please ANY customer who enters this banking location. read more
