Well, in a blaze of glorious sparks, he had to pull off to the side of the highway (which is a feat in itself let's be honest). As he gets out of the car to try and see what the actual F is going on he realizes that the vehicle has sprung a leak but unsure as to where it was actually coming from. After a little bit of fenagling he was able to unjam the offending object from under the car to see that it was up close and personal with the transmission and we now have a rather large issue. Luckily, he was able to limp the car to the next exit/gas station and able park it out of the way, but things were only getting worse. Now comes the realization it is after hours on a big holiday eve... and we also forgot to reup on our AAA subscription (my bad I will be getting on that asap). However, after a few phone calls and some google searches, we came across the listing on Yelp for Kaufman Towing with the holy grail of labeling of "open 24hrs". Within 30 minutes of finding the phone number and making the call we have the car parked in our driveway to wait another day to deal with it and the insurance. They were wonderful people, and the wait was microscopic compared to most as well as the price. They saved our butts and will definitely be saving their number on speed dial because with my husband's luck... we very well might be a repeat customer if not the best. Thank you, Kaufman's Towing!

Got quoted over 2 hours from another company who was local that my insurance company assigned to me. Got reassigned to Kaufman towing and they were to me in 10 minutes! This was the worst experience I have ever had at a mechanic. We were new to tamaqua, about a week,…read morewhen our car started smoking and overheating. Al from Ziegler's saw us and came over, looked at it and diagnosed it as the radiator. It was a Fri, so we couldn't do anything til Monday. We went Mon morning and Al recognized me and said, oh your the girl from up the street w/ the radiator blown? I said yeah, I just need it fixed, whatever the problem is. He was 100% sure it was the radiator. So they ran w/ that. And admitted to me later that they didn't even check the engine for other problems bc I came in saying it was the radiator. BS. No good mechanic takes the word of an unknowledgeable customer and says they'll charge MORE to diagnose it!! Let's just say our car was worse than before in less than a day of having it back. We then took it up to Right Turn, w/ the owner Tom, and he said that the intake gages are so bad, he wouldn't have even fixed the radiator bc it's not worth it. It's really good to know that there are still decent human beings out there. The intake gages job would cost us $700, and instead of taking our $ and running, he said save it, it's not worth it. Ziegler's are crooks. They saw one problem and instead of looking to see what else may be causing this overheating, they saw a quick $359 coming in the door. They're liars and lazy and they should stick to body work. This was the absolute worst experience ever and I am disgusted w/ the way things went down.
