I have been an Uber driver for 7 years and I repeadly get messages implying that I am intentionally extending my trips when San Antonio ,Texas has construction all over the city and many road blocks and detours. Recently I did a ride for 30 minutes longer than expected due to the highway being shut down due to construction. Not only did the trip take an extra 30 minutes sitting in traffic but added an additional 4 miles and the increase in pay was only. 01 cent! I tried to resolve this issue with no resolution. The app kept asking me if I wanted to open an Uber Account, but I already have one, and I know my log-in perfectly. There is NO Customer Service phone number or E-mail Address !!! WTF ... kind of Customer Service is that ... !!! Uber YOU SUCK Big Time ... !!! I wanted to use up my Uber Credit, but I cannot depend on Uber to even get a ride !!!! Down loaded the app, connected my bank info, went out feeling secure of a prompt and curtious ride, when executed I witnessed (my ride of 4) to drive right by our pick up location, cancel my "fare", and when I requested the 2nd pick up, the driver was near 30 minutes away, we almost missed our engagement due to poor at best customer service. My Uber account got hacked and charged $2000 to my credit card. They were all in a different state from me. The trips were all for the same exact route and with the same exact uber driver. Uber is literally not worth driving for here in Modesto the app will send you 6miles to pick someone up and then have you drive them another 5miles and pay you a whopping total of $4. I should mention we stopped for 15min at del taco so the client could get food. See the company is very good at not telling you the pay rates until you're actually driving for them. just try it go to there website to see what they pay, you cant find it because the pay rates aren't there. Here's the break down in Modesto. 1.00 base fee .75 per miles .10 per minute now I know some of you are adding it up and going a) that doesn't come to 4 dollars and b) what are the full details of the trip. Let's start with a), you're right the total run time of my trip was 20min ($2) and I went 5miles ($3.75) that's so the pay out is 5.75 NOPE you forgot Uber's cut you get $4 dollars. I know some of you out there are probably thinking well at least you're making $12/hr that's higher than minimum wage.... b) that too would be wrong as I said the app took me 6miles away (12min drive) I sat around waiting for my rider for 7min and the ride took 20min and then I had to drive home 19min. that comes to 58min for $4. My 80 year old mother thought Uper would be perfect to take her to church as the bus would not get her there on time. She tested the system once. Going out to eat (1 mile away) she was told the fare would be $3.00. Coming home, it was a bit busier and the fate would be $6.00. Uber has continued to break the law concerning service dogs. Not long ago, a blind customer was told they couldn't take their dog, but eventually put the dog in the trunk without telling the customer. Even after the customer yelled, the driver would not release the dog. - this did result in a lawsuit Apparently this information was not shared because I called Uber three days ago and was told that he would not take a customer with a service dog. I have already emailed their corporate office about this. Refusing a service dog is a Federal offence punishable by fines. Maybe its going to take that before they learn better. read more

I took an Uber about a year ago at which time I was able to plan ahead. I could schedule my Ubers and say which time I wanted to take them. Because of this, I was picked up very quickly. I just took set up for a ride this morning and had to cancel and pay a fee because it took me directly to getting a ride and did not offer a pick up time. Also, I'm sitting here waiting 20 minutes for an Uber because it was done last minute. I'll try another service. Don't use Uber if you can help it. read more

I used uber a week ago on a Friday for a very short trip downtown maybe 3-4 miles it cost me $7 there 9$ back that seemed easy. But on the way back my credit card fell out my pocket & I noticed as soon as I got home. Next thing I immediately got a call from mocse credit union that the driver had just ran my credit card $240 twenty times. :0. Luckily mocse was great without question because of the # of times they new it was fraud. I addressed the issue with uber letting them know about that particular driver & they said it was a hold fee which dosent make sense because of the 20 times it was ran.
