We chose Corrie because she is incredibly sweet, smart and professional. She is extremely organized and was quick to respond to any questions or requests I had. I love her style: bright, crisp and natural. Plus, she has a great sense of humor which made it easy to relax, smile and laugh throughout the sessions. She was amazingly fast with editing and delivering the galleries! Highly recommend Corrie!!!

Stop looking. You've already found your perfect photographer right here…read more I researched for months to find my photographer, Corrie was the first photographer I looked at and was wowed. I didn't pull the trigger right away because I wanted to make absolutely sure that I was getting the best out there for my big day. I found myself CONSTANTLY comparing others work to hers and I knew deep down I wouldn't find anyone as good as her. Her eye is spectacular and her editing was exactly what I wanted. Nothing I found compared to her work. She is so incredibly amazing. She was there for me every step of the way. Which was hard since I live in CT and was only in AR at Christmas to visit family. She was always accessible through phone calls, emails and even FaceTime. She went above and beyond to ensure we would get everything I wanted captured on our wedding day. She was so good in keeping this bride calm and on track on such a fast paced and hectic day. She delivered our wedding gallery earlier than expected and they all looked flawless. I am so so glad that I chose Corrie for our photographer. You won't find anyone better and you won't regret choosing her.

We even thought to ask amateur photographer friends, but realized it is our wedding and our day only happens once. What if our moments weren't captured? With so many what ifs, we didn't want to take the risk. After all, this was an investment to capture beautiful moments of our special day. My bestie Bev and I looked at different styles of wedding photography. I loved bright, vibrant photos and really didn't like typical dreamy look wedding pictures has these days. With that in mind, my bestie found Mike "Pupfish" Burton on The Knot. After looking over a few more photographers, Dominic and I later went through all our options and pulled the trigger with an inquiry sent to Pupfish. Mike's replies are so quick and detailed. He likes to get to know the couple to see if we're a good fit by setting up a FaceTime or Skype appointment. The stress of wedding planning, crazy work hours and lack of sleep took the best of me. I had a moment an hour before our scheduled appointment, I contacted Mike to reschedule. He was sweet, understanding and flexible and worked with me to find a new time. An hour went by and I felt a lot better, so we kept our original FaceTime appointment. I'm so glad I did. Meeting Mike Burton at Pupfish Wedding Photography through FaceTime was incredible. He spent two hours with Dominic and I chatting, exchanging stories, answering questions. It was honestly like chatting with an old friend. He served in our military as a part of surveillance team which was ironic because both Dominic & I's fathers served in both branches Mike served. We learned so much about each other and he even honored a military discount. After we hung up, Dominic and I knew Mike was "The One". We contacted him within minutes and a contract was signed. We invested in an awesome wedding photographer!!! We also received a free engagement shoot with our wedding photography package. Score! Just like the FaceTime conversation, Mike is sooo easy going and flexible in all our exchanges. He is not pretentious and very professional! We had so much fun at our engagement shoot and our pictures were so beautiful! He knows how to give direction without making us feel awkward and knows how to capture each of us to shine in the moment. By the way, we received our engagement photos in TWO days! Typical turnaround time for photography is a week plus. We were blown away by the speed and quality. The way our photos turned out proves his natural talent. It was of great relief to know our wedding day was in good hands! Our wedding was at the beach at sunset. Mike warned us on the difficulties of capturing beach photos because of the hard, unfiltered light. Our day began with a thick, marine layer fog. I admit I was a bit bummed, but then remembered what Mike said and was happy we would still have beautiful pictures. Half an hour before start time, the wind blew all the fog away and the sun was absolutely radiant. Mike was still able to produce the most beautiful pictures even with the hard sun conditions! We originally didn't schedule Mike to shoot our dinner reception (separate location), but Mike came along and took shots of our guests and our big entrance as Mr & Mrs. He engaged with our friends and family and left quite an impression with everyone he met. He worked so hard and made sure we had shots we wanted and we were soooo appreciative! Dominic's sister's father in law, a videographer, loved Mike so much, he will be sending him his business. Again, this speaks volumes of who Mike is. Our wedding day was one of the best days of my life. I'm so happy Mike was there to celebrate Dominic and I. Once again, he turned our wedding pictures around in less time than promised and the quality speaks for themselves. We have so many favorites, the toughest part is to pick which pics to enlarge. :) I obviously cannot say enough about Mike "Pupfish" Burton. Just send him an inquiry and see for yourself just how of an amazing, talented human being this man is. You won't regret the time or money you've invested.

His calm and relaxed demeanor made what could have been a potentially stressful day, a joyful experience full of laughter. From that moment on we knew this was who we wanted to shoot our big day. The first thing that attracted us to working with Mike was the photos in his websites' portfolio. It is immediately apparent that he has a talented eye for capturing natural intimacy in candid photos. We appreciated the lack of artifice that so many other wedding photographers lean on. If you are looking for a similar aesthetic for your wedding day we cannot recommend Mike enough. Mike gets to know you as he photographs you. By the end of our wedding night, it was like we were old friends. He does an amazing job of getting the groom & groomsmen to relax while he takes photos. Speaking only for myself as the groom, I'd never done a photo shoot before. Mike knew exactly how to coach me and the guys so we wouldn't look stiff and awkward in our photos. Mike did not get in the way of our guests during the reception. He blended in so well, we didn't even notice him as he was capturing all of the little moments throughout the night. It wasn't until he sent us our finished photos that we saw just how much he got on film for us to remember forever.

He was quickly responsive through the hiring process, answering questions, and since we were from out of state (having a "destination wedding" in Eureka Springs), was very willing to work around our tight schedule to help get in the "engagement" photos in addition to wedding photos he has as a part of his wedding package. (We're very glad we went through with the engagement photos rather than seeking to reduce the price of the wedding photos so they weren't included.) Mike's a quirky, quiet, artistic type of guy, which I liked about him. He's the type of guy that makes me seem to be an extrovert, even though I'm not. But it's not hard to get him out of his shell: he enjoys his work and wants you to like his photos, so it was very fun to talk about photography and what we like about various things. (We also bonded over local brewery beer, even though he's not as much as a beer snob as we are.) He has a real eye for catching the light and specific shots. I let him know some of the shots I knew my family would have to have, but when possible, I tried to let him make the decisions, because I could tell that my interference would endanger the photos I would get. I was right and I loved our photos. I did have to remind him to follow up, and get us the final product, because I think he's the artsy-forgetful type. But I really enjoyed working with him and loved what I received, which I think was worth far, far more than what we paid for.

I communicated with her before the wedding to discuss what I was looking for and what I needed to bring. My lips turn most reds orangey so I wanted to be sure I had a good red lipstick. She said she'd have a shade I could use but I could bring my lipsticks as well. And she would work with the hair accessories I had purchased. Day of I showed up and her fellow makeup artist Yesi started curling my hair. She was friendly and we chatted amiably while she styled my hair. We discussed the hairstyle and hair accessories I had and settled on one. Then she did my makeup. The whole process was fun and I did like my look. It was hot and humid in Arkansas and I sweated a lot. Dabbed at my makeup and was worried it would run. But it was fine. I still looked good that night at the reception after the long day. And my hair help. I had it half up and my hair is heavy so it usually falls out of the style. But Yesi put a hair tie in it and enough Bobby pins and some hairspray so it held. I would recommend them for hair and makeup.

I reached out to Lachan in a "Hail Mary" moment, and she immediately came to our rescue. She stepped up and made us feel calm in a moment of total panic and assured us that she was going to make it work. Mayann and Kaitlyn were an absolute dream to work with and made me and my wife feel absolutely stunning on our wedding day. We could not recommend NWA Occasions more and we are so grateful!
