Will not return. Had my sons iPad screen fixed, when I dropped it off the owner asked if I wanted the ports cleaned for half off, when I said what would be the total with that, he quoted $149, since my 8 year old was paying for it. When I picked up the ipad today and they said $184. I related to the guy that I was quoted $149, I would have said no to $184. He talk to the other who then gave me a $10 coupon. Very disappointed. I had an issue with my Xbox and took it here for review/fix/evaluation with specific criteria to reproduce the error. They took it on a Wednesday and gave it back Friday, saying they were unable to fix it. They told me the issue was happening because I had "power save" on and to turn it off. I've used that setting for the entire time I've had the Xbox with no issues. Felt very gaslit by the tech who I spoke to. After I left a 1-star google review detailing this experience, the owner called and harassed me, demanding I take down my review because it "just wasn't fair". I offered to pay the diagnostic fee for the time they spent, since he mentioned it three separate times. He refused and got irate. After the call, I included these details in my original review, and he updated his reply to state that I accused him of "being a bad business" and "trying to rip me off", even though I never said these things and three times offered to pay the diagnostic fee since they "did all that work for FREE", and he refused and said he would only be happy if I removed my review. I would strongly recommend staying clear of this business based on how the owner responded to this situation. Instead of asking if he could help or get the review rating up, he told me he was having a "shit day because of my review" right off the bat and then proceeded to attack my character and say that "I was in the wrong." Not quite. I think the reaction here speaks volumes. I've worked with hundreds, if not thousands of businesses and have left almost 100 reviews for businesses on Google (maybe that's why bro is so mad), and when I've had poor experiences in the past and left a bad review, the company called and apologized and asked how they could fix it. In every single situation, I updated my review because the company seemed to care about actually fixing the issue. When you call a customer to attack them and then try to slander them online with false claims and fake quotes? That screams unprofessional to me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10. My toddler knocked it out of my hand one day and the LCD was damaged, although it was still functioning normally. I was dealing with it for a while until I was unable to wake it up from sleep mode by double-tapping the screen, and even pressing the power button didn't turn it on. It would only wake up if it was being charged. Needless to say, that got annoying pretty quickly. I called around to multiple places around me and Asurion was by far the most affordable, and they even have a $10 off discount if you go to their website. I dropped it off around 4:30pm on a Thursday and they said they'd have to keep it overnight (if you go in before 1pm you're more likely to have same-day service). I explained the situation and the tech looked it over and gave me all the information I wanted to know. She said it would likely be ready for pick-up around 1-2pm the next day, and lo and behold, I got the email notification around 1pm the next day that it was ready. I go to pick it up and everything's looking great and working great, and they even put a new screen protector on. The entire experience was straightforward, hassle-less, and quick, and they have a 1-year warranty on their work. I am a satisfied customer who will be coming back again for any tech repair needs! They broke the bottom of my computer and told me it was no big deal! They put my computer on the ground outside in the sun. He is not worthy of anybody's business! No one should think they can sic the police on another person in an effort to use their privileges to get their way instead of use professional business tools to make amends. I've posted a picture of it from 9/9/20. It's a working computer, one of many lies in his comment. Kyle never tried to have a civil conversation. We spoke for 2 min then he put my device outside. He did this bc I took my phone out to take a picture of the damage to the bottom of the device. Kyle was mad that I would stand up for myself and not simply take what he deemed I deserved. He used the police as his personal security instead of mature resolution. I never once raised my arm except to hold my phone. I never demanded or requested anything. I asked him if his behavior was what he wanted me to give ppl feedback about. He said it didn't matter bc I didn't have but '6 followers'. I don't use Instagram. I couldn't be happier with my entire experience at the Niles store. T-mobile told me that my phone was beyond repair. I dropped my phone off on a Tuesday and picked it up on Thursday, fully repaired. Efficient, honest, and knowledgeable. They replaced a screen on my S10. I recommend the liquid screen protector. It is like an one time pay insurance policy where if your screen is damaged they repair it. I wish I had done it beforehand. They tried to replace my perfectly fine phone battery unnecessarily. Here's the situation: My 10 or 11 month old iPhone XS wouldn't power on although it should have been fully charged. I took it in and the guy thought the issue might be the charger port and/or the battery itself. The phone is under warranty, but Apple support was probably going to take longer so I left the phone for them to diagnose and repair -- deciding I'd rather pay some money and have it fixed faster. (I stupidly told them to go ahead and make any needed repair without checking with me first if the issue was one or both of those two things.) I got a call that they were trying to install a new battery, but they use OEM batteries and they are having trouble calibrating the battery. If I wanted it calibrated, it could potentially take longer since they'd need to get in touch with Apple for assistance. Instead, was it okay if they left it uncalibrated? I was told that it wouldn't affect functionality, but there would be a notification within the settings. Well, in the course of the conversation, I said "are you sure I need a new battery? It's still a pretty new phone." He said the paperwork said a new battery, but he'd check and call me back....So he calls back to say that my current battery is operating at 92% and that Apple recommends replacement when it gets down to 80% -- I can keep my original battery if I want. Um, correct -- I do not want a battery replaced that is operating at 92%. There's still a LOT of life in that thing. Feels like they were trying to sell me a battery that I don't need (and a not-Apple battery, at that.) I should add that everyone was very nice, and professional. I liked that they wiped everything down, and asked me to move further away when someone else approached the desk. I just feel like I was almost duped -- it feels very car-repair-ish. read more

The associate on the floor was only slightly apologetic after his blatant, misguided outburst and vented frustration had been directed at me, prompting other waiting customers to leave unattended. Though I waited for assistance, despite my reservations, it would still be wasting my time. A disconnect between the web-based business platform and service offerings in contrast with the on-site/in-person experience works against the operation, but not as much as the poor demeanor and negative attitudes of staff. While language used online generally over-promises and the store under-delivers, in-person there was a lot to be desired in the way of proper or professional care. I don't ever take the time to provide feedback unless I have something nice to say. In this case, however, the insult and disrespect as well as the overall lack of resourceful or helpful attention predicates this note. As someone who is above all else exceptionally kind and extremely considerate, I actually treat others much better than how I expect to be treated. For this reason, I would be remiss not to call attention to the negligent, morally inept, and unethical behaviors and practices of others, especially in care of professional services and business. The unnecessary hostility was irrelevant and counterproductive. It may be a lack of consistent oversight, overwhelming demand and a lack of available resources, or general carelessness, but either way, I was left with a loose ballpark window in the next week ahead during which it might be possible to complete a diagnostic to determine if a device brought in for repair may actually be reparable (online it very clearly indicates that this determination can be made very easily anytime). Time and effort wasted, planning and considerations useless, there is not much logic behind decisions that guide these outcomes, but there doesn't have to be if there is enough demand. I advise seeking service through a provider that lives up to its claims, delivers on its promises, and doesn't treat people like rotten garbage. read more

I had been to this location a couple times with a friend who had some issues with his cell phone and felt he received very good help for a reasonable cost. The tech representative was very knowledgeable and friendly. Although all I needed was some help applying a new screen cover, the same representative replaced my screen protector for a very nominal and reasonable cost. I was provided a time for same day pick up and it was ready to go even though I arrived a bit early. I wish I had know of this business for my other devices. Unfortunately it all started good and iphone x screen replacement was done in 1 hour. Than they sold my son a screen protection for 59.99$. He dropped the phone while walking and his screen cracked. They did not stay behind the warranty. They just kicked me out of the store. I found out that the warranty is done through insurance and insurance was happy to honor it. They actually were wondering why the store would refuse a $300 screen replacement business. The next day to make things worth, I had to go to New York and my newly fixed iphone X went into infinite loop of restarting. I will be taking it to local ubreakifix store here but most probably I would recommend not to bring these guys in Niles any complex devices. These people are utter idiots and neither know their product nor do they know how to fix the phones. I will update this review after I find what specifically they screwed up. read more

uBreakiFix replaced a battery on my phone, where when opening the back of the phone they used a metal object scraping away the finish on the phone's black frame exposing shiny metal. This on an otherwise undamaged phone. Now I see the damage every time I look at the back of the phone. Point in fact if I took the time to repair it myself I would have been using a plastic tool which does not damage the phone. I'm rather sure these people know better, but someone got lazy and didn't take the time heating the glue to release without drastic measures. read more

Samsung referred us to this location. My wife's S10+ camera software was missing some options that was normally there. The tech didn't even bother to look at the Samsung ticket, once we told them the problem their solution? Backup everything, reset to factory settings and re-update the OS. If you are in the IT world, this is pretty much the same as restart your computer when calling Help desk since they can't really tell what the problem is. I could have done that myself but we thought the professionals have a better way of doing it, NOPE. read more
