Requested repair for my Samsung gas oven that wouldn't heat up. Adams Brand reached out quickly and…read morescheduled an appointment for less than 24 hours later. Nick showed up on time, was polite, efficient, knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Should the need arise I wouldn't hesitate to call them again and/or recommend them to family or friend.

Had Adams attend to a dryer problem and was very disappointed with the value of service provided…read moreand also the service technician who was on the phone on a private call during the repair rather than focus on the job. The price point is too high. The initial diagnosis price $99 was supposed to be deducted from the actual price and that did not happen and was not reflected in the invoice as well. One the technician open the dryer you are left with no choice but to go with the repair. My issue was very minor with a squeaking dryer idler wheel and that was replaced and oiled, and I was charged almost $420. A dryer idler pulley which was $7 was priced at $120. Labor $250 to replace it and another $50 for cleaning the dryer. And the technician instead of doing his work was more intent on talking and distracting the situation. Only plus point was the prompt dispatch of the technician. Apart from that I would advise customers to check and ensure that your price is right and not get charged for simple replacements. I went by the great reviews and wanted to try Adams but the price point and lack of transparency and the technician left me with a bad customer experience and would make me think twice to call them.

Time to paid the bill and he quoted me over 200.00. I told the technician that I was quoted 159.00. He said because it was a front loader it was 189.00 plus tax. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a women and a senior citizen. I will never call or do business with Marc's appliances again. I don't like being cheated.

My experience was classic bait and switch. Ordered a 48" range online at an excellent (but not…read moreunique) price, website claimed it was in stock and that I would need to pick it up at their West Hartford warehouse. Got a confirmation E-mail stating order would be "processed once payment was confirmed" (odd, since CC payments are generally automated these days). Next day, I got what appeared to be an automated E-mail (no name or phone number, DoNotReply sender) stating that their "policy" was that I would need to come to their store in person to confirm identity & credit card, and that the item was a special order (not in stock after all, I guess!). Since it's a 4-hour drive each way, going there twice defeats the purpose of an online order... When I called to try to clear things up, "Jack" told me the item was not in stock and that there appeared to be a pricing error (more alarm bells start up in my head). After consulting with his manager, he did call me back, to tell me that the part number is not on the Kitchenaid site, so they can't even order it, and they don't have it in stock. I just went back on their site, and they still list that exact part number listed (KFID948SJP), but at a much, much higher price, of course. When I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manger, it went to voice mail. The only excuse offered was "the website is pretty automated". I get that mistakes happen, but reputable stores make some effort to make it right with the customer. A retail store is responsible for their advertised pricing.
