They have Jazz and live music nights. I came here for an event. Nice vibes. I believe the bar manager's name was Rivin, and I want to recognize him for how he handled a less-than-ideal situation. Initially, I was disappointed with the service, as I had to search for our server multiple times and request a glass of water on three separate occasions. Although I had ordered both a drink and water, only the drink was delivered. Despite being automatically charged gratuity--which I'm generally happy to pay--the lack of follow-through and having to repeatedly track down the server was frustrating. Rivin stepped in, apologized sincerely, and took the time to explain the situation. He made a genuine effort to make things right, and it was clear he was working hard to support the team while maintaining a high level of professionalism. His attentiveness and care did not go unnoticed. Overall, the venue itself is beautiful, with breathtaking views, great music, and a fantastic jazz atmosphere on a Thursday night. While the service experience was initially disappointing, Rivin's professionalism and commitment to customer care left a positive impression.

The food is not great but, it is good. The service is a bit slow but, not too slow. The view of the downtown Los Angeles skyline is incredible! That's the main reason I give it five stars! The view is impressive

Beautiful views from this rooftop dining and bar area located in the Delphi Hotel ( formerly The Standard). The service was attentive, and the food was good at least the ceviche. Go during daylight hours in the winter and evening hours in the summer - the city lights surrounding you from every direction are amazing.

you MUST order the steak & longaniza! It's super juicy & flavorful. Chips had a little extra spice & flavor and the chocoflan was the creamiest I've ever had! This rooftop is perfectly located to avoid direct harsh sunlight in the evening which I prefer! It felt intimate and peaceful up there and the service was great!

The view and ambiance here is amazing! I dined here with my boyfriend when we stayed at The Delphi hotel, we had reservations in advance. We ordered the burger, street corn, and the ceviche. Everything was alright, the ceviche tasted really bland and I had to ask for a bowl of limes. However, the atmosphere and the service really made up for it. I greatly recommend if you are staying at the Delphi hotel! Beautifully done

Came to UCA terraza for their holiday pop up. The pop up had good reviews and lots of decor at the Santa Barbara event so we wanted to check out the LA location. Sadly decor was lack luster in comparison, drinks were good though. They had lots of holiday options but only a few came in holiday glasses. We ordered the christmapolitan and coconut hot chocolate. For food we tried the ceviche but had to request a plate of limes as the ceviche was lacking any flavor of acid. We both ordered tacos - steak and shrimp. They were fine but nothing spectacular. For dessert we got the chocoflan and surprised with churros for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and quick, great views but the food does not meet expectations.

UCA is revitalizing the DTLA rooftop scene! We were told that the experience is modeled with Tulum vibes in mind and they definitely nailed it with a mix of the modern LA rooftop landscape. The servers are friendly, in a way that's warm and casual, not pretentious at all. The menu keeps it simple with organizing sections by small and large plates. Although deceptively small, our group couldn't even finish. The desserts are also so balanced - sweet and flavorful.

Food 3/5 - The food had great presentation but it was just ok. My friend and I both had the shrimp (grilled shrimp) tacos which were cool but I wasn't wow'd or like I gotta come back for the food. I had a French 75 drink it was good. She had the dish that was like fries. Once again just ok and then we shared the tres leches cake which was actually really good but would've been better without the graham cracker cereal type topping lol. Service 5/5 - Marco aka Mark was that guy, periodt. He made recommendations. Stopped me from making a horrible menu decision and was very attentive. Great personality too. My type of service. Ambiance 5/5 - the view is gorgeousssss. It's a good date night or girls night situation. The sitting was comfortable and the decor was gorgeous. Let's just say ya girl was in her element!!

Glad I was able to try this spot. Definitely gives Tulum, vibes with the vibrancy of DTLA as your backdrop. Service was great, unlike many other rooftops, we don't feel rushed out of there. Our waitress Andrea was great. She seemed to know the menu and was breaking down some of the more popular drinks and some of her own favorites. We ordered the chipotle Cesar salad (added shrimp): 8/10; the guacamole, 10/10; ceviche 7.6/10; Uca fries 8/10; tacos gobernador 7/10; torta burger 10/10. For drinks, we had 3 glasses of the street mango drink, fair to say it was a 10/10. Not too sweet, or too strong. Overall, really enjoyed our experience and will be coming back for the vibes! Also, parking was pretty accessible, and it was just an elevator ride up to the restaurant.

The newly remodeled rooftop bar is modern with amazing views! Food is tasty and comes out freshly made, complimenting the drink options. Both fish and carnitas tacos were flavorful and filling. A slight crunch on the tortilla, making for a great vehicle for the mix of ingredients. All their drinks were great especially the Palmer! Our server was excellent, continuously checking in on us. Great place to catch up in downtown

Use to be called "standard" Which was a cool spot. But they really remodeled this roof top well. Parking is easy. Located in the back of the building. Elevator to the restaurant is located on the second floor up the stairs when you enter. There's a hostess at the elevator. Makes it feel more like a NYC/Manhattan lounge/restaurant. Price is actually pretty amazing. As in not very expensive. Food portions are very fair. With some being medium to some sides being A LOT which is great. I tried a few things. Steak tacos Beans Guacamole Let's start with the tacos. More of an American style taco but with great flavor. Meat is marinated well. It's not overly salted or peppered. Portion is good with 3. Display was great. Beans. Pretty average but tastes good. Guacamole. Nothing overly complicated. THANK GOD. It's so annoying when places complicate the simplest things. And they did not do that with the guacamole. Would I recommend this place? Most definitely. The atmosphere is more young. Upper class. The food is good. Not AMAZING but definitely worth a return. Pool area is fantastic. Staff was awesome. If you like a good roof top pool with food? Highly recommend. Enjoy! Food: above average Staff: no issues Cleanliness: very well Decor: new and remodeled Bathrooms: very clean

The atmosphere/ view is really nice at both daytime and night. The seating area the offer is both lounge style, bar seating, and table seating. All of the employees were super nice and helpful on making recommendations. The food was good the only dish we thought could've been better was the tacos gobernador as it was lacking cheese and shrimp pieces. The drinks were good they aren't your ordinary cocktails as these both had unique ingredients. I would definitely recommend this restraunt for a date night or a birthday dinner or just to grab a quick bite and drinks at the bar. Also just a heads up free parking is hard to find so you kind of have no choice to either Uber and get dropped off or pay $25 for parking.

Garage parking is $20 for weekday. No validation. Located inside Delphi hotel. In the lobby, go up the escalators and there you would take the elevators to the rooftop. The rooftop view is amazing! Cute spot to lounge, chill and drink. We ordered the steak tacos (recommended), ceviche, and torta burger. Steak Tacos - 0/5 - nothing about it was good. It wasn't even a handmade tortilla, no flavor on the meat, the pico de gallo was not tasty and the cheese made it worse. I tried adding salt and their special habanero sauce just to make it bearable to eat. Torta Burger - 4/5 - The burger is good and the Uca fries we loved more. Ceviche - 3/5 - it was good not the best. The ceviche came out warm and it's a bit questionable because normally it should come out as a cold dish. The admin fee is crazy. The gratuity on 2 guest! And it's not even 18% it's 20%! We wished we loved this place more but we can't. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

Came here late one night driving back from an event since I've only heard good things…read more I got 2 tacos (asada and cabeza, 1 pollo quesadilla, a bean and cheese burrito and small bag of chips and guac. Everything came out to about $26 which is super reasonable! Service on a later end of the night was great! Super friendly and quick service. No indoor dining was available since they were closing in 15 mins. Food was ready in less than 10 mins. Salsa is free which both were delicious and had great flavor. Overall the food was delicious! It hit the spot. Filled with meat and the tortillas were a hit on their own. I would definitely go back again and try the other items that they had to offer.

Driving by I always see a line and read an article recently that Sonoratown is officially…read morerecognized in the California Michelin Guide - makes sense! I like that they were open late to satisfy a late night taco craving. Even though there is typically a line they are quite efficient with orders and even have a parking lot/outdoor dining space in addition to their indoor space so it doesn't feel cramped. It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time. Overall, I thought the portion sizes were good for the prices and I felt full afterwards.
