Signing up is easy, but cancelling or getting your money back when incorrectly charged is impossible. The process is unaccountable and shady. Avoid this gym.
Having now lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading.
I cancelled my membership in Sept 2025 after relocating and provided all requested proof of my new address as instructed by the Bankstown staff. The cancellation request was forwarded to head office, but it was never authorised due to an error on their end, yet the charges continued.
Over several months I have contacted the Bankstown branch multiple times, requesting a refund for the period after my cancellation request. Everything has been forwarded to head office, but there has been no response.
The branch appears to be doing their best to relay the issue, but they have very little authority. With no response from head office, lodging a complaint with NSW Fair Trading and potentially going through a tribunal seems to be the only way to resolve the issue.
Unlike other franchised gyms (eg: Anytime Fitness) there is no direct phone number or email, so members have no way to contact anyone accountable. read more
