My son and I attended an appointment for my son's treatment for his impacted canines at UK Orthodontics at the Turfland location last May. Bazina was in place of my son's regular Orthodontist DR LENA SHARAB, I saw that Bazina was at his computer before coming over to the treatment area to treat my son, so I politely said to Bazina, 'I saw that you were just at your computer, will you please go wash your hands?' He looked at me at said, ' I don't have to wash my hands! We are only required to use hand sanitizer!' I said, 'That is preposterous that you will not wash your hands before treating my child, you are going to put your hands in his mouth!' Then Brook, his assistant piped up and backed him up saying, 'Yeah, we're only required to use hand sanitizer!' I said, 'Unacceptable! Go wash your hands!' Bazina then jumped up angry and said to Brook, 'Will you take over please!' Then Bazina went to ack to his computer in a rage! This is the first patient right stated on UKs website! read more

I took my nephew here to get a couple of his teeth fixed after an accident. It was very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and professional. We were in and out in no time. The only trick was to find it. It is hidden in the back of a few buildings and down a couple sidewalks. read more

Ended up needing the urgent care dental services today but would like to establish care here. Receptionist was nice and the student who worked on me was amazing. Didn't have to wait long to be taken back to be seen. Didn't criticize or make fun of me for neglecting my teeth (I had other issues going on besides what I was being seen for today). His supervisor was also very nice and didn't make me feel bad for being unable to keep up with the other issues I had going on. I really felt like they wanted me as a patient. read more

First I do not have insurance, I needed a medical exam and prior to arriving to my appointment I called and asked the cost. I was told the cost was 202$ Which I paid at my appointment. A month later I received a bill saying I owed an additional 254$ When calling to try to get things straightened out I left 2 voicemails over 2 weeks with no response. Called again days before payment is due and the lady on the phone cut me off and said that I still owed the billed balance, although I would not have even went if I knew the true cost prior to arrival. This was deceptive at best and cannot understand if I owed 254$ why I was only billed the stated 202 at my appointment. I decided to make an appointment, through their website form, of which it offered me a choice of being worked on by dental students still in residency or professional. This was placed on Thursday or Friday of last week at approximately 10-11 a.m. in the morning. Today is Monday and I still have not had a response back. I know that they are probably busy, however, at least get back to people, who put an appointment through! I will be waiting...and waiting..and YOU GUESSED IT...waiting. read more

I must say that its the best place I found to have my dental work done. Its very clean, The staff is very friendly, compassionate, and professional. The Students there are very pleasant and professional. You get your own student for the whole time of your visits, you do get to see the actual drs too. They design a plan,xrays,cleaning, pulling you name it they do it with closeful watch by the MDs. Its a budget plan and you can make payments as you go. I had all my upper teeth pulled with some oral surgeries, was in the chair for about 3hrs. My dentures where made by the student as well. They talked to me the whole way thru it and again cared on how you are feeling. This is way cheaper than a regular dentist office and they also do children teeth for free. I am not to fond of dentist just like anyone else but if your on a tight budget and cant afford a regular dentist I recommend the College of Dentistary at the UK. I have Delta Dental Insurance and made appointments for my 2 sons & I for a cleaning at the Turfland Mall location. We had our appointments. The offices were clean & staff was polite, but the dental hygienist was rough & the dentist himself rude. My son & I needed fillings, so we made a return date. That day, they numbed half my son's face, the dentist was again rude. As we were waiting for numbing to complete, a staff member came in and informed me that they did not accept my Delta Dental, but they could still do the fillings for a little over $100 a piece. We left with my son numb for no reason. 2 weeks later I receive 3 bills for $292 a piece for the cleanings. To me that was a completely unethical move & mean to a kid. They should have checked the insurance before the cleanings or at least before the filling appointment. They should have not shot up a kid and then said oh well. read more
