my friend and i went in yesterday because i'm going to be out of town for her birthday to get her a gift. we had probably spent an hour just looking around and 2 workers were staring at us as soon as we walked in i was asked if i needed anything multiple times by the same two workers and as i'm walking around i'm just being watched by one of the girls there and im sure she thought we were gonna steal things from their store but it's just disappointing to see that they judge by the way you look thinking i can't afford the things i'm getting. Very sad to see that is how you get treated at the only ulta store in las cruces. i would give this place 0 stars if i could:) read more

Their sign says open at 10 on Saturdays but the door was locked at 10:30. As I walked by, I saw an employee unlocking the door to let in another employee so I thought maybe they were opening. I walked up to the door to ask if they were open. The two employees looked right at me, the one smirked, and then they shut and locked the door in my face. They could have at least told me no, we open at (whatever time). So rude. I walked the mall, came back, and went in when they opened an hour late. As I looked for something for a while, many employees walked by me but no one asked me if I needed help until finally a nice manager did. The overall culture here appears to be very stuck up and rude. read more

Extremely fun shopping experience! The salespeople are very attentive and helpful, and the shop has everything! I was asked at least three times if I would like some help. I asked directions to a brand of cosmetics, and was shown promptly where it was, and asked if I would like assistance. When I said no, the saleswoman graciously replied that, if I changed my mind, she would be happy to help me. The shop is cute, lively, and chock full of every brand of cosmetics you could ever want. Disgusting ... the dirtiest store I've ever been to ! Smeared palettes , dry applicators , chewed up lipsticks knocked over and unorganized. If I were the Kardashian's I would remove my product from this store . Terrible!! It needs to be gutted and redone . How am I to test or see my makeup choices ? Everything is dried up and destroyed. I will never go back to the Las cruces location! I had my first appointment for a perm and cut, the girl spent all of her time chatting with the stylist in the chair next to her, my service took over an hour longer than usual because she was socializing; I had to ask her to check the curl with the rollers in cause she left them In Longer than normal. I felt very unimportant sitting in that chair. She never spoke to me except for asking what I wanted in regards to my hair. I gave the salon two more chances figuring maybe it was just that stylist NOPE NOPE NOPE! Same thing two more times, I did complain to the girl up front but she smiled and said have a nice day. read more

Ulta is the place to go , if you already know exactly what you want. Good luck getting any kind customer service there though. I've bought hundreds of dollars worth make up and I don't think I've even gotten a "Hello". I'd rather drive to El Paso and go to Sephora or Dillard's. read more

Service is quite poor but they have a great selection of products however a bit on the pricey side.

The Ulta in Las Cruces is so basic, I've spent a lot of money in this store, usually finding items on my own because, as others have stated, the consultants just can't be bothered. Today I went in and attempted to purchase something which required buying 20 dollars worth of Ulta beauty products. One of the consultants told me to choose anything in the Ulta section on the wall. Well, I choose some body oil for my dry skin and some hand cream. Upon check out, I was told those two items didn't qualify because they weren't skin care. Um, I am still confused because...both items were for my dry SKIN. Honestly, I didn't even want the free item to begin with, it was for a friend who had told me she wanted it. Anyway, the manager came up and told me that the items I had chosen to purchase didn't count because they weren't skincare. She could not tell me why they weren't skincare, just that they didn't qualify for the bag of free, crap Ulta products. What angered me was the managers passive aggressive attitude towards me...wow. Needless to say, I didn't buy their crap, guess my friends on her own, haha. Save yourself some hassle and use Saphora in JC Penny. It's a small shop but the people there are so much nicer and they seem to actually care enough to help you. read more

Treated poorly by salon staff. Do not recommend. The make up counter staff were polite and helpful. However the salon was quite different.

color correction went great my hair cut was absolutely horrible she completely messed up my face frame made me look like i had a mullet when i told her to only cut 1/2 a centimeter and when i later saw my hair dresser she told me i didn't even need a haircut so i was convinced into a haircut i didn't need read more

Again the nyx store is COCHINO here too. Came here to blow my Christmas gift cards and was disappointed and the disgustingness of the NYX Section. Nothing in the brow section, or lip suedes were in stock, and again I got make up all over my hands and fingers without even realizing it had come from the displays! ONE slow cashier checking out a Loooooooooooooong line of people backed up allth way to the curling iron section. read more

Don't bother with the spa services here. I scheduled an eyelash appointment for a Monday and when I went in the lady was so rude to me and told me "I already called everyone to tell them that the lady was sick today." I told her that I hadn't received any sort of call and she rolled her eyes at me and asked for my name. She then told me that she found my name in tiny print- Who says that? Anyways, we rescheduled for the next day. Again, I drove to Ulta to find out my appointment would be postponed another day. It was very unprofessional. It was my second week living in this town as well. I found a MUCH more professional place where they actually care about you and your appointment. Needless to say, I will not be going back here for any kind of 'spa service.' read more
