I'm 21 years old, and despite our age gap, I always have the best conversations with her. You can talk to her about anything, and she even gives amazing life advice when you need it. Went in to get a reddish brown gloss, was open to any 7 ir. 8 kevel. She knew I did noot want my hair dyed dark like a 6, she only left it in at the basin foor 10 minutes, so did not fully take, to "correct" she put a levl 6 dark brown all over my hair ruining imy hair out of anger for questioning her. Can't get it out. Paid $120 and now have to get hair lightened destory my hair and pay another $100 DO NOT GO HERE read more

Had to make a last-minute stop at Ulta for a birthday gift and some press-on nails (because life happens, and so do chipped manicures lol). Luckily, Ulta always comes through when I'm in a pinch! With working a full time job and all sometimes it's hard to make time for myself and schedule a girls day but thankfully I came across this location to save my unpolished manicure lol. I decided to go with these cute frenchies to treat myself. Service was pretty nice the staff was attentive once I got to the perfume selection and asked consistently if there was anything I needed. I had to step away from the section to save myself some coins until my next paycheck (lol inflation )): I noticed in the plaza they had a lot of different stores like bath and body, Ross, PetSmart, and chase if you ever need to pull out some quick cash. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE. Truly regret purchasing from here. Before I purchased my item, there was no around to help me with questions. After I purchased the item, the item became faulty (right around the 60 day mark) and the manager would NOT help me or believe me. I was not asking for a return, i simply wanted another one (even of the same). They told me contact the manufacturer or to call Ulta support. I would rather go to Nordstrom or Sephora as their class is in a different tier when it comes to customer service and manager etiquette. I went to Ulta during my lunch hour because the website showed a specific item in stock. There's no parking near this location, so I had to find metered parking down the street, pay for it, and walk over. Once inside, I couldn't find the item anywhere. To make things worse, I stained my white sweater on an unorganized display where someone had left an open lipstick. I had to hunt down an employee for help and ended up asking the Benefit counter girl,who was super sweet and the only helpful person there ( shout out to her) She checked the back for me, only to find out their inventory was wrong. I tried looking for two other items and neither of those were in stock either. Overall, a huge waste of time. I left empty handed and frustrated. read more

Metered parking was easy on Wilshire for a midday Friday. Hayley (working on the floor) was amazing and helped me find exactly what I was looking for since I needed guidance in selecting new products. (Thank you Hayley!) 'If I could give this place negative stars...' We all know the stereotype, unfortunately, it truly rings true at this nightmare store/salon!! :'( In late January, on a peaceful Sunday, I arrived for my hair appt., Partial Highlights, to be exact. I had not treated myself this way in quite some time, so I was super excited and hopeful! Well, not so fast----. I sadly had my appt. scheduled for the 1st time here with a person named, Eileen. They said she had done hair for over 20 years, so I felt happy about that... Anyways, I am pretty talented at doing my own hair, I just wanted to treat myself, and get some self care in for once. BIG HUGE MISTAKE!!!!!!!! EILEEN is a snake and a fraud!!!!! I clearly told her, Highlights only, with a condition and blowout, I can trim my own hair. My appt. was at 1pm, I got there a few minutes before 1pm, and she kept me waiting until nearly 2pm, terrible!! But that's not the worst of it, sadly~ I told her more than once, please do not cut my hair, it grows slowly & I do my own trims.. Well, she kept me in that salon for nearly 6 hours, (CRAZY!!!) & when she turned my salon chair around, LOW & behold, she was CUTTING away!!!!! I immediately said, STOP cutting my hair, now!!! And she did, yet, the damage was already done----------. My hair is horribly uneven now, and ALSO, she kept me with the chemicals on my head for far too long,so she melted a great deal of my fine hair off, & I can see my scalp now!!!!!! I am still LIVID & truly want to help others avoid her nonsense & ABUSE from EILEEN THE rotten and mean spirited person forever!!!! This review is for the beauty salon inside Ulta . I made an appointment back in September for a Nov 11 hair appointment with a stylist that was recommended to me . About 2 days before my appointment , the stylist called and said she would need to switch the days since she wouldn't be at the salon on my appointment day but another stylist would and she would be able to do my hair . I explained I haven't had anything done to my hair in over 10 years but all I needed done was to cover my white hairs , not go darker in color . So I meet my stylist Kacey who then mixed my color and applied it , not before she made me signed a piece of paper saying we agreed on level 5 ( I thought this was odd but ok ) . She said I had to wait 1h on the chair which I did , but she never once checked on my hair . Once we washed and cut it ( more like a duster since I only wanted my ends trimmed , although 77$) I was on my way after 4hrs . Today in the daylight you can see how super dark it is , the ends are closer to black and I have found white hairs out in the back that clearly were missed . I mean the fact that the stylist switched me to another one I was already kinda annoyed , but then also the stylist I previously made an appointment with was at the salon and was doing hair all day next to me . I guess I'm just confused why my appointment was given to another stylist if the original one I booked a month and a half ago was at the salon too ? Maybe I'm not as a good customer as others ? In the end I'm out 300$ , have dye stains on my face and I'm left with black hair which is not what I want. And now I have to go find a new place to fix my hair . I've been a loyal client of Ulta Beauty Salon for years and have always had the most amazing experiences -- the staff has always been kind, professional, and honest. That's why this recent visit was such a shock. Since my regular stylist left, I booked a Signature Haircut with a new beginner stylist, Kacey S. Initially, everything seemed fine, but she began washing my hair and applying products I had no idea would cost extra. She never mentioned pricing or asked for my consent -- I assumed it was part of the standard wash that comes with the haircut. At one point, she asked if I had ever had treatments at this salon, and I said yes. Later, when the manager questioned the charges, Kacey twisted my words, claiming that my answer meant I had agreed to treatments that day. This was completely false and deceptive; she used my past experience to justify charging me for services I never approved. When I checked out, my total was nearly $200, even though the Signature Haircut I booked online was $75. The front desk lady called the manager, and I learned that Kacey S. had canceled my original appointment and rebooked it herself into multiple separate services -- haircut, blowout, and treatments -- without telling me. She also charged me for a blowout, which has always been included with the haircut in every previous experience I've had here. It felt like she was trying to sneak in extra charges to increase her commission. When the manager addressed it, Kacey initially denied not mentioning prices, then admitted she hadn't. When the manager said they would adjust my price back to what I originally booked, Kacey immediately said, "So am I not getting my credit!? That's not fair!" -- right in front of me. Her attitude changed instantly, becoming defensive and upset, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. It was clear her focus was on money, not my experience. To make matters worse, the haircut itself was terrible. I asked for a butterfly cut with curtain bangs at shoulder length, but what I received doesn't even look like bangs -- just flyaway pieces going in opposite directions. She clearly struggled while cutting, but I tried to trust the process. Oh boy, was I wrong. The result looked nothing like what I asked for and was not worth the price. I've never written a review before, but this experience was unacceptable and needed to be addressed. After years of trusting this salon, I left feeling deceived, uncomfortable, and poorly treated. I will not be returning and strongly recommend that others avoid booking with Kacey S. until she learns to treat clients with honesty, professionalism, and respect. read more

Every time I go to this Ulta the cashier person always seems like they're in a bad mood and never says "thank you!" They seem very annoyed that I won't give them my phone number or email. Todays cashier asked me three times for my number and kept trying to sell me on their rewards program! I politely declined three times and find this interaction incredibly infuriating. However I was recently "helped" by a newer Ulta employee- Susannah who seemed annoyed to be at work and was unnecessarily rude in the way she asked if I needed anything and continued to be rude when I couldn't really answer the questions she was asking. I just wanted to get away from the interaction as soon as possible. It was very unusual to me to have an experience like this after so many positive past experiences in this store. She knows my hair goals and gives me the most beautiful layers and blowout every single time. Since seeing her and taking her product recommendations, my hair has been healthier, longer, and silkier! I genuinely believe that it's because of her I finally have waist length healthy hair! She's so easy to communicate with too, so if I ever feel like I want something changed or want to try something new, it's never a problem and she picks up on exactly what I want. Not a great experience. Poor customer service. Had a color treatment scheduled. Stylist by name Azita did everything to talk me out of it, and persuade me not to do it. She claims she is a perfectionist and would need three hours for accent highlights, as it is a very complex procedure. She did not want to accommodate or do the work, or propose something else, as she had to be out of salon by 6:00pm. She made negative comments about my hair, and said everything to make me feel unwelcomed in this salon. I regret scheduling with her, as I am certain there are better stylists in the salon with better customer service, that would try to accommodate and make the customer/client happy, and have kind words to share. It lasted through swimming everyday and a record heat wave in France. My hair looked incredible! She did a clarifying treatment prior to the keratin and that made ALL the difference! I'm back today for root color, highlights and a cut. The balayage she did is absolutely STUNNING. The color melt is seamless and the caramel color is EXACTLY what I wanted. I have oily scalp and dry ends. We did a scalp and hydration treatment and then a round haircut with layers (which she recommended)! Then she did a blow dry & it turned out gorgeous! She definitely knows what she's doing when she sees your hair! She made me feel comfortable and confident which eased my nerves. Highly recommended going to her - because I will be going back!
