I have a few young men in my life who care about their cars. They have all said positive things about Maxi Tyres and I went along to check what I had been told. Yes they are friendly. Yes they seem to be able to do jobs quickly without it being more expensive than you would think, or they quote, and the place is pretty big. Nice guys, fair prices.

On my return from holiday I noticed that the cooling water is not tapped as well and asked them to fill in the water. surprisingly this time they forgot to put the cooling water cap in its place and I noticed this after one week and the water was below minimum level this time. Fortunately enough the cap was still there trapped between the engine wires and I could fix it by myself.

Checked my receipt and saw it had a 2 year warranty so i took it back to Profix (now auto masters) so they could take a look at it. My entire muffler had rusted through which apparently was unusual. The boys proceded to replace it, offered me a coffee (bought a $1 can of coke instead- BARGAIN) and 15 minutes later, my car was ready with new muffler and not a cent out of my wallet. Then on day 11 I called them to ask what time to pick the car up and was told that the car MAYBE be ready in another 3 days. When I finally picked up the car, the check engine temperature light came on after 5 minutes of driving. Was about to leave to pickup an hour drive and someone wants to buy my car minus the exhaust. Well they didn't like that then told me they'd just sold rear drive line to someone else which was the main purchase from them! I'm extremely disappointed and surprised (not surprised with market place) but the fact the main purchase and then response from them when they still had it all listed for sale.

The first time was for a service and a rather urgent repair, this happened to be in the middle of the Christmas/New Years madness with public holidays all over the place. Speaking to them over the phone, they found a time to squeeze me in and, when the repairs ended up taking a bit longer than expected, they kept the shop open for me so I could pick it up after work and not have to wait until after the long weekend. Both times that my car has been in the shop they have called me during the day to keep me updated on everything that's going on. The second time my car needed a repair it was for a cracked exhaust and not only did they diagnose this while I was still there, but actually lifted the car up to show me exactly what had happened and how it would be fixed. I've never felt like I was being taken for a ride or left out of the loop and everyone I've spoken to here has been such a pleasure to deal with. Most definitely recommend it.

Searched Yelp for a good local service centre as I've recently moved. Found Ultra Tune had a good…read morereview so decided to book my car in. Received a rough quote on the phone that sounded high. I had a look online into what I should have been paying the amount Ultra Tune quoted was almost 100% above the price Ford were offering as a fixed price quote. I figured if they were as good as the review perhaps it would be worth it. So I went ahead, got a loan car which is where the 2 stars come from. A few hours after dropping in my car I got a call several extra things all costing over a hundred so now my service was getting quite unreasonable in price. Some of the items should have been covered by the extra warranty I had on my car, Ultra Tune supposedly made a call but the information they came back wasn't even close to my warranty. I told them not to do any of the extra work, got my car back, sent my car to Ford for the next service everything fixed as expected.
