I rarely post negative reviews, but consumers need to be aware of my experience with Ultrafix Appliance Repair. I contacted Ultrafix to repair my undercounter ice maker. The technician pulled the unit out from under the counter, traced the drain hose, and inspected the line during his assessment. Afterward, I was informed that an additional $200 would be added to the original quoted repair cost for a replacement part. When the part arrived, the technician attempted to modify it to fit. During the process, he broke the part and then declared it defective. Once the repair was completed, he pushed the ice maker back into place and left. What I later discovered was that the drain hose had never been reconnected. As a result, water drained directly into my cabinets and onto my floors, causing extensive damage. When I contacted the company, the immediate response was, "He didn't touch the plumbing," despite the fact that I personally witnessed the technician working underneath the counter and handling the drain line. The company wanted to send the same technician back out, but by then a licensed plumber had already identified the issue immediately -- the drain hose was disconnected. When the technician returned, I informed him that he had failed to reconnect the hose after the repair. He then went under the cabinet and reconnected it himself, while still insisting, "I didn't touch the plumbing" although I watched him with my own eyes. What started as approximately a $500 appliance repair has now resulted in more than $6,000 in water damage repairs. My advice: do your research beyond the surface-level reviews. A company may appear reputable online, but customer experiences can tell a very different story. Run, don't walk! This company is very deceptive. I've had to call them several times to come back to repair my refrigerator freezer. They would only come out once after the initial appointment. The technician claimed to have replaced the condensor fan on my refrigerator, however, it is still not freezing. I continue to get the same error code. Today, 6/15/26, they were supposed to send out the technician, Vitalli to check it again. First I receive a text that he is running late from a previous appointment and now I just received a text message that my refrigerator should still be under warranty and to contact LG directly. Can never get a Manager to talk to when I call only someone name Emily, who answers the phone. All this should have been told to me upfront, prior to me paying UltraFix $400.05 to come out only to experiance the same problems. This has been going on since June 10th with no resolve. I am in the process of filing a formal Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) demand letter and prepared to go to court if necessary. I will not sit still and just hand over $400.05 for NOTHING! Had tech here 4 times these past two weeks due to frig not cooling. The freezer had to be defrosted twice plus a new thermostat & timer were replaced twice. Now I am still not happy as the frig is not very cold & milk is not as cold as usual. Please do n9t use these people as don't think they know what they are doing and not very professional. The technician advised me not to buy a new unit (around $550) because he could "fix it for less." I trusted that advice -- but within two weeks, the same issue returned. The light came on, the plate spun, but the food stayed cold. When I reached out on September 6, I expected accountability. Instead, I was met with rudeness and blame. The technician, Kam, talked over me, accused me of lying, told me to "ask others in my home" about using the microwave, and even said I should check my camera footage. Worse, he implied I needed my husband's permission to make repair decisions -- despite me being the one who scheduled, paid for, and followed up on the service. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Weeks later, Kam said "another part" had failed and wanted $260+ more to fix it. When I asked if he had checked that part the first time, he said yes -- which makes no sense, since the microwave has never worked since the repair. At this point, I feel misled, nickel-and-dimed, and taken advantage of. I've now paid nearly the cost of a new microwave, and it's still broken. It's been over two months, and Ultrafix has not followed up or corrected the issue. No call. No refund. No fix. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service has been beyond disappointing. A reputable company should stand by its work -- not pressure customers for more money when their first repair failed. The first time the technician came, he quoted me $625 to repair my stove within two minutes of walking into my house--just by looking at it. He didn't open it or check anything inside. Then he said he had to order parts and would come back the following week. He asked me to pay half the cost upfront and the other half once the job was completed. On the second visit (a week later), he worked on the stove but couldn't fix the issue. He said he needed to order additional parts and would return the next week. Another week has gone by, and neither the technician nor the company contacted me about the repair. So, I called them. The customer service representative gave me an appointment for the following day. They said the technician would come between 1-4 PM, then changed it to 2-5 PM. At 5 PM, no one had arrived. I called again, and they said the service window had been changed to 4-7 PM--without notifying me. The representative apologized and promised a technician was on the way. Our Frigidaire dryer (2008) was making a thumping sound when it rotated. We were able to get an on-line appointment convenient to our schedule. Vlad, the technician, was extremely knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem and told us that our machine was worth repairing rather than replacing as it was extremely well made. They just had to gather parts for it. He gave us a quote that included both visits and parts, which was extremely reasonable. Parts were available within two days and then again we were able to make another on-line appointment convenient to our schedule. Beware, do not use this company. I wish I checked the Better Business Bureau website before I used them. You will find multiple complaints against them. Our dishwasher was working but we noticed sometimes the soap pod wasn't fully ejecting and it needed a new spray arm. Their initial technician came, ordered the wrong part, collected 50% of what was owed and left. About a week later, a second technician named Chingiz came, installed the wrong part, collected the remaining balance, turned our dishwasher on to cycle and told me he "wasn't going to wait because it would take too long and to call him if there were any problems." The dishwasher didn't fully cycle, when I opened it, the digital display panel short circuited and would no longer turn on. I called the company right away and requested for the tech to come out again. He returned the following day and acknowledged that this was their error and that they would replace the display panel at no charge to us. I then called the company two days in a row requesting to speak with a manger but they would not return my calls. My husband called and they finally put him through to a manager who told him they would only reimburse us for the parts ordered or we could wait 9-10 months until the part they needed to come in to fix our dishwasher. They wouldn't reimburse us for the service fee and damage they caused to the dishwasher. At the time we bought our dishwasher they were $800 dollars now the same model is $1200. Next, I naturally left a poor review on Google. The owner responded to my google review encouraging us to call customer service again to come to a reasonable agreement. This was only to save face online. When I called again, the outcome was exactly the same except the manager then blatantly lied and told me the technician said our digital display was faulty. My experience with this company was not good. They charged over $100 just to come out, which isn't unusual, and the service call charge would be applied to any repair job that was initiated. Apparently the motherboard of my dishwasher needed to be replaced. This cost over $200, so in all I was in for around $400. I was told that the repair was guaranteed for 3 months. The fix worked for 4 weeks. When I called back they said they'd have to charge again to come out. I successfully got them to waive the fee after being transferred to many different people. When the tech returned, he said that it was a different issue - the pump was broken, and I was told it would be $165 to fix it. The "guarantee" was only for the same problem, and this was another problem. I ended up going to Home Depot and getting a new dishwasher, which I should have done in the first place instead of wasting my money with this company. read more

First of all, UltraFix is a fraudulent company, and you should stay away from them! Here is our brief story with them: We had bad experience with them fixing our washer and refrigerator. On 5/13/24 technician named Orik came to fix our washer. The problem was simple: the drain was not draining. Later, another technician told us the solution was straightforward--just changing the drain pump, which costs $50, plus $50 for labor, totaling $100. However, Orik, a charlatan and fraud, told us the problem was with the Smart Board, which costs almost $500, plus another $500 for labor, and, of course, the drain pump. The total cost, with taxes, was $1177.00(will attach the receipt for confirmation). We paid $374.5 upfront. We also needed to fix our refrigerator, and the same thing happened. Orik claimed the refrigerator was completely gone and needed a new compressor and other parts, giving us an insane price. Later, we found out it only needed the defrosting relay adjusted, but we never proceeded with the repair with UltraFix. Back to the washer: after fixing everything with another company, I contacted the UltraFix manager, explained the whole story, and initially, he apologized and promised a refund. But he did nothing. Only after I called him over 20 times, with a different excuse each time, did he finally agree(only After I promised him to take it to the Court) to refund me fully--IF I changed my 1-star review to 5 stars, which is absolutely illegal! I refused. Finally, after more than two months, he sent us a partial refund check. They charged for both the washer and dryer service fees, $85 each, and I had to call another company to fix it. Despite telling him the technician was committing fraud, he refused to act. Therefore, the entire company is fraudulent because they knowingly employ a fraudulent technician. By the way, all the previous reviews I checked are fake. They are not real people; just made-up reviews. I reported this to Google and complained to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) about this entirely fraudulent company.
