Way too expensive for revolving sushi. Upon entry I loved the atmosphere, the lights, walls, decorations even the music was perfect. Once I sat down it was a different story. The prices are not something that is suitable for revolving sushi in my opinion. I look forward to eating a lot but I might as well go to a sushi restaurant and order a plate of 8 for an equivalent or cheaper price. More bang for my buck. This spot is just way too much. The sushi wasn't anything exciting either. They were regular size and only served 2-4 a plate which is fine but could have tasted better. Service itself was fine. No problems there in my opinion. I've only had delivery from Umami but so far, so good. I was feeling sick a few months ago and ordered hot & sour soup from my usual local place in Central. I was severely disappointed. So, later on, I ordered two large hot & sour soups from Umami. They were perfect! The portion, taste, and value was incredible. 5/5. I paid more for a "small" locally than I did for a large from Umami. Everything about it was better than the place near me. That inspired me to order ramen from Umami a little while afterward. Maybe because of the distance to my place in Central, it lost something? 3/5. I don't know, but I'll probably stick to Kaedama for ramen. Either way, I'm happy to recommended Umami for their h&s soup, as well as looking forward to trying other dishes, too. I've had the pleasure of visiting Unami Revolving Sushi a couple of times, and it's definitely a unique dining experience worth trying. I usually go during lunchtime, which is great because I don't have to wait long for my meal. They offer many types of rolls that vary in price, with dishes priced according to their color. Most sushi plates come with about four pieces, making it a great serving size to share with others at your table. Their sushi for the most part if pretty good. After you've had a few plates, you'll notice your iPad screen doing something interesting--it will either end with a win or a loss. You then receive a prize ball that reveals your reward. Today was our first time visiting this place, and the experience was very good. The ladies assisting the customers were nice, polite, and helpful. They took the time to explain how the place works and checked in several times to see if we needed anything. My only complaint is that the sushi portion was just four rolls--five would have been perfect. The food itself was excellent, and the miso soup was delicious. I was pleased to see Japanese workers in the kitchen and since this was my first time here, the roll I purchased was good. But I wonder how much to tip waiter since a lot of the food comes automatically. I won't be back. I am a African American woman, and I felt blatantly ignored as a first-time customer dining alone. No one greeted me or took my order, yet customers of other races were immediately welcomed, given introductions, drinks, and condiments. When I addressed it with my waitress, she was annoyed and dismissive. The manager made excuses and admitted this waitress has ongoing performance issues and has even been sent home before yet she's still employed. I understand that the food is on a conveyor belt but the waitress never brought us water and didnt show us where our table was at then the little c u next tuesday gave herself a $10 tip before she ran my credit card and without realizing it I added a tip when I signed. Looking for a fun experience! Try Revolving Sushi. The sushi was a 7/10, the teriyaki was 7/10, desserts were an 8/10. The service is different because you have to request it via the iPad menu and sometimes it was just easier to call over a waitress. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and not too loud. The revolving food tracks were cool and we definitely fell for the plate game to win a prize which was a fun experience to talk about. It's hard to find quality sushi in El Paso, but we found the spot. The pictures speak for themselves but the food was absolutely devine. Service was excellent. Standard sushi fare was very good as was seaweed salad. We found the house-designed rolls to be a bit off, okay but not great. Tempura crunch added to rolls was heavy. I would go back again and stick to standard fare. However, since I a disabled, I can only sit at the sushi bar, not the tables which all have booth seating, and I need either the wait staff or a friend that I would need to take with me to pick up the dishes from the moving belt. The wasabi tasted as if it was a poorly mixed powder and the soy sauce was overly salty. After going to the bathroom I was appalled to see customers seated directly in front of the bathroom entrance and server work station. Novelty approach to serving food on a conveyor belt. I have no issues with the approach - the issue I have concerns the cost. The food prices are quite high and the food was of average quality. Drinks cost are disproportionately high. There is a large imbalance between fair pricing and the quality / services provided. Lastly, the process for paying the bill requires serious revamping. It was incredible! Everything here was incredible! I tried the edamame, fried dumplings, rainbow rolls, dragon rolls, tuna rolls, and California rolls. All were phenomenal. This is the most futuristic restaurant I have ever been to there is a conveyor belt, revolving with sushi, these little trains that bought you the food, and robots that would give you drinks. Owner's family member - Carol - had the worst attitude, and gave me the rudest experience I've ever had in a restaurant, AND I think she tampered with my food because now I have food poisoning. I'm shocked that anyone from this family thinks it's ok to treat loyal customers like this. I have been going to this restaurant since the first week it opened. My son and I loved this restaurant and we would go about once a week. (I'm embarrassed to say that I've probably already spent about $1K there, that's how often we go). Always had the same amazing waitress, Betty, who's also the manager. She always made each visit great, and my son liked going to the restaurant too because of her. Today was completely different. There was a new waitress, Carol, who immediately gave me some really weird attitude. First, she wanted to seat us in the worst seat in the restaurant (1 person seat by the bathroom), even though there were tons of seats open. I asked to sit somewhere else, to which she grudgingly took me to a table that wasn't cleaned off. Again, there were lots of seats open, but I said "ok" to the dirty table because I didn't want to be difficult. When she asked me if I needed any help with ordering, etc... I told her that we've been here lots of times, and we know how to do it, thank you. I did NOT say this in any mean way, and you can imagine my shock that Carol would actually throw this in my face later. My son and I ordered our usual, but there was a problem with the computer, and so we ended up with double the orders because of the glitch. One of my rolls that I special ordered took an unusually long time to get to me, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. After the meal, I went up to pay. The receipt was weird because it still showed the double orders. Because the receipt was confusing, I did ask Carol a few questions about it just to make sure it was accurate. Again, I had no attitude, I just wanted to make sure that I was paying accurately for the meal. It wasn't my fault that their computer was glitchy, but that's exactly the attitude that Carol gave me - as if it was all my fault. Her attitude got worse and worse when I asked my questions. When I asked my fourth and last question, she responded with "I thought you've been here many times before?!" I had enough. I asked for her name, and that's when she told me that her name is Carol, and she also said with a smirk that "My family owns this restaurant." Betty, who is the manager, heard the whole interaction. She told me that she would talk with the owner. Betty's response to the whole situation was fantastic and professional. At one point, Betty went into the back to try to find the owner for me, and while I was waiting, another customer came up to me and asked if I was okay because she heard the whole interaction between me and Carol, and that she was shocked and offered me support. This restaurant is clearly a successful business, and shows that the owners must care a great deal. Why they have someone with such poor attitude as a waitress there is beyond me. I was not given the chance to talk with the owner, so I'm writing this in the hopes that they understand the huge liability they have with that type of entitled brat working there. And yes, about 20 minutes after I left the restaurant, I had to quickly rush and find a restroom, because I had gotten food poisoning. I have been to this restaurant so many times, and I've NEVER gotten sick before. (I'm originally from Hawaii, and also grew up in Japan, so I know my fish, and can recognize safe, quality sushi.) But now I have incredible stomach pain, diarrhea, and chills. Carol's attitude when I went to pay clearly showed that she was holding a grudge against me since she threw out that comment about me "coming in all the time." The one roll that I ordered took almost an hour to come, and based on her grudge, I now believe that Carol may have done something to it. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this restaurant, or any others they own. read more

However they didnt have any seats reserved so we had to sit in a corner. Other than sauces and drinks, youre pretty much serving yourself servers just bring you the bill and want a tip, which is honestly a wack. However it is clean and good, and fun. The seaweed salad came out completely frozen, we tried a few rolls from the conveyor and they were less than fresh, we ordered tempura and it was so greasy it was mushy. We've been to a number of rotating sushi places in Arizona so we knew this was more for the experience as opposed to fantastic sushi, but this was a bad experience.
