Three times I went there, 1st I had their lasagna. It was the worst I've ever eaten. Mostly all cheese which was very dry. My second visit was Southern Fried chicken, which was very dry and tasteless. The third was the turkey dinner, it was cold and sent back to warmup, again it came back warm but not hot. The waitress was sweet and congenial, it's just we were seated... then a couple to the left was seated and taken care of right away...10min later, after the people who were seated after us got their drinks and placed their order, our waitress finally came over to get our drink order. Love this place. We went there late on a Monday. They had a great special menu, we were both very hungry and started with a soup, then the meal. So me and my wife live down the road and finally decided to check out our local diner, man was that a mistake! We walked in and instantly saw the cracks on the floor and the atmosphere of a dollar store on a Monday afternoon. We sat down and ordered our drinks and an appetizer. The pretzels and cheese dip, the cheese from a bagged land of lakes would have been better than what they gave us. After 2 bites the girl walked up with our food, meaning we had maybe 45 seconds to eat our appetizer?!?! That's just called terrible service. Then she ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel with a coffee and I ordered the Ruben with fries. Her coffee we both laughed about because it tasted like 90% water and 10% coffee grounds from the 1970's, her bacon egg and cheese was blah, nothing special and oh my let me tell you, the Ruben was actually awful. The slices of corned beef were thick and dipping into a pot of boiling water to heat up, then the bread was sliced thinner than a slice of salami at your local deli and it all just fell right apart, it was like a Ruben salad without the lettuce if you know what I mean. We paid $55 dollars for a terrible breakfast and left very unhappy, but we laughed it off the ride home knowing 75% of all restaurants now a days are awful. Do better uncle Joe! read more

Came here while waiting for my oil change for brunch and as usual, Uncle Joe's delivered. Upon exiting the vehicle you can smell the fried smell reminding me of the fried dough at the fair. There is a ton of parking and location is ideal. Upon entering, the decor reminds me of what a 60's diner might be like. There are booths and tables and the counter has an impressive display of desserts. Wait staff will seat you and the menu will provide your to be expected diner selections. There was a specialty menu which I got the eggs Benedict with hash browns. It was good. Nothing to write home about, but every visit to Uncle Joe's Diner Ive made, the food is dependably good. The food left much to be desired, and wasn't cooked properly. I ordered an egg white omelette, and paid to add chicken. What a wonderful place to go. We were going to have a funeral dinner at micheals banquet hall . But because we only had about 20 people coming it was suggested we go to Uncle Joe's diner. Awesome suggestion! We had 17 people and wound up letting everyone choose their own dinner and also included beer and wine. Which would have not been included in a banquet setting due to cost. The owner of micheals set this all up and I'm very grateful to him and his brother who own Uncle Joe's. Now the food. All our entrees were delicious. I had the chicken slovaki . Pumpkin cheesecake for desert. All entrees were very good . From fried chicken to stuffed haddock it was all good. The waitress was amazing . Stopped here after an overnight in Buffalo. It was a Sunday so the Bills gear was worn proudly by staff and patrons alike. I had the corn beef hash with overeasy eggs and toast. It had great flavor but I would have preferred it to have more of a crisp. Same with the bacon at the table, a little on the softer side. I would suggest if you like your food crispier to order it that way. The other women I was with enjoyed the eggs Benedict and an omelette. The service was quick and the restaurant appeared clean. There is a ton of seating here and I didn't see much of a wait. If I lived in the area, I'd give it a try again. read more

Small place so you may have to wait. Hang on cause I think it is worth it. We started with the clams casino soup. Again risky but oh my goodness amazing. Thick, creamy, packed with clams and bacon. An average breakfast place. Typical choices of omelets and pancakes and waffles and french toast. The prices are fair... and the coffee is refilled frequently with a smile (the most important part of any diner breakfast experience, in my opinion). A big group of us shared a meal.... and the waitress gave us separate checks without complaint.... and without adding a service charge (another plus). I had french toast made with the thick-cut (not house-baked.... I asked) cinnamon bread. It was just okay. Slightly undercooked.... and topped with some kind of sugary syrup. From the menu, this looks like a great place for breakfast, but we were here for lunch. I picked one of their Sandwich Specialties listed on the menu- the Fried Bologna sandwich on a hard roll with sautéed onions with an order of chips. I've only had a fried bologna sandwich one time some five years ago elsewhere, but there was a lot more bologna today than on the other one. Plus, the one from Joe's tasted lots better. My side was Crispy, Crunchy chips...not homemade but pretty good. Now to rate Joe's after but one lunch visit. the parking was great, the service was sporadic and the food was pretty good. I actually go here quite a bit for breakfast so I thought I would put my 2 cents in....I usually get a breakfast sandwich on an english muffin which is decent...The bacon is tasty but if you like butter on your english muffin you better ask for them to do it because otherwise they won't...Personally I don't like a dry english muffin.... The thing that gets this 4 stars from me is their homefries....I think they either boil them or soak them in a vinegar water cause they have a real nice zing to them ! They also are always cooked right ! Mmmmm.....***don't make the mistake of asking for onion - they come with onions in them - if you ask for onions you will get double onions which is a ridiculous amount - this happened to me on several occasions until I was made aware by a waitress*** I used to get apple juice but I stopped after I noticed I kept tasting bleach in it...Not sure if this has something to do with the way they clean the machine or what. I did mention it to management not sure if they corrected it or not but needless to say I have not ordered the juice since.... For years, I have driven past this diner on my commute to work and never decided to stop in. That was until yesterday when my girlfriend and I wanted to try something new and different. The rest of the family went to a well known restaurant in Orchard Park called "Eckels". I didn't want to go there since I happened to stumble back in the kitchen via an old friend who used to work there. Talk about disgusting! I wanted fish for some reason. Talk about so much room to park! You would think you were about to park for a Buffalo Bills game! We walk in and we're greeted and seated right away! The waiter 'Trevor' greeted us in an extremely nice and professional manner! He even casually played along with us as I was having fun taking pictures of my beautiful girlfriend as we were waiting for our food. The wait for our food didn't take long at all! I ordered the Fish and Chips as my girlfriend ordered Chicken in a Basket! Before I get into the meat, let me talk about the potatoes! Uncle Joe's French fries were delicious! Way better than any fast food joint! Way better than any restaurant in general! I'm not a huge fan of fish, but like I said, I was in the mood for fish as I found my basket empty within a matter of minutes! Since my girlfriend can never seem to finish a meal when we go out, I promised her dessert if she can finish her entire plate. I lost the bet as she did indeed finish her meal, but was too stuffed to even look at a pie in their nice display as you walk in! Seconds later, Trevor coincidentally asked us if we had room for dessert as my girlfriend and I awkwardly starred at each other because we hadn't made a final decision just yet. We told Trevor no thank you as we received our bill and was told to not only have a great day, but to enjoy the rest of our weekend! Great experience! Great food! Based on the ratings this place, my experience seems to be an outlier but I really found this to be mediocre. Good: The parking lot is huge (shared with Michael's Banquet facility.) We were seated quickly. The place was clean. Diner atmosphere is fun. Service was quick. Bad: Service was too quick--the cook didn't even leave my omelette on the heat long enough to melt the cheese. At all. Like, all the cheese was still in a pile of individual, shredded bits, still cool. I might have well just eaten straight from the bag of shredded cheese. There was barely any ham in my omlette. I ordered a special, the black forest ham and mushroom omlette. The ham was in such small bits and there was so little of it that I'm not sure I would have known it was there if I'd been blindfolded. I'm not sure what the $9.79 was paying for. How can a diner get an omlette so wrong? The toast was really soggy. Neutral: The homefries were fine. Not great, not bad. Just fine. My companion said the banana bread french toast was fine. The dessert case looked good, but I didn't have dessert with my breakfast. Anyway, I usually give places a second visit before writing my review but I don't think I'll even bother going back here. There are too many good breakfast places where I'm sure I'll get a good meal to bother giving Uncle Joe's another try. read more

I've been to Uncle Joe's twice in the past couple months for breakfast and had a solid meal each time. The first visit I had hash and eggs, more recently the souvlaki breakfast. The food is good but I like the souvlaki better at some of the other places in the area. When its busy it is very noisy (even for a diner!) if you are seated in the middle part of the restaurant. We had a booth the second visit which was a bit better. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip to get here. That said, if you are driving I-90 and want a good place for a bite, Uncle Joe's is only about a mile off the highway if you are looking for a quick meal. read more

This is a place I used to LOVE to go to! I keep giving it "another try" since the last couple of times were just ok. It's not that the food isn't good, it's not consistent!!! I only eat pancakes, while my family gets a variety of different things. I ordered the pancakes which again, I normally love. They brought 3 pancakes out as thin as crepes and I asked for LIGHT chocolate chips. My bill for 3 pancakes was over $9.00!!! I am a very fit and small person. I was content but by no means full! This little kid next to us ordered ONE pancake and it was the size of his plate and thick!! I asked, did you make new batter because my pancakes were not the usual and were not that good. I only got "sorry about that". What does it cost to make pancake batter? It's flour and water .. maybe an egg or 2? Really? They charged me $1.99 to put 10 chocolate chips in my batter! First time coming here. I knew everything would be awesome just based off the atmosphere. I ordered the 3 grain veggie burger and it was honestly the best veggie burger I've had. Super moist and flavorful. One part of it was a little burned and crispy but I was full by then anyways. My family all enjoyed everything we had.
