Love this place!!! I'm new to Garland and found Uncle Wings by chance!!! I work no more than 5 min away and it's so easy to get to. They do make the food fresh when you order it so I do advise calling it in before picking it up. I eat here at least 2 times a week or more. The orange chicken is the BEST orange chicken I have ever had and the egg drop soup and the wonton soup are to die for!!! Well to be honest I haven't had anything I didn't like her!!! Talk about the best little surprise hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. This place is great!!! I've only had their chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein but both were excellent. I am not sure if they are renovating it or what but the restaurant has a table in front door blocking it and you stand at the door and wait for someone to come take your order. Seemed kinda weird to me especially since there were people sitting at the tables inside and no obvious sign of why someone would do that. The food was also under mid and didn't really taste great. I really wanted this place to be amazing since it's so close to my job. They don't have mushrooms. I ordered on the phone and asked for extra sauce with my chicken broccoli. When I asked to have the order repeated, he didn't mention the extra sauce. When I got to the restaurant she repeated my order and again didn't mention the sauce so I reminded her. I did then get the extra sauce. I also ordered hot and sour soup. The soup was very flavorless. I added three soy sauce just to make it edible. I couldn't finish it. Just randomly passing by, we stopped here to eat. It is a little hole in the wall that still holds the 80s-90s decor it was likely built with, but that doesn't do the chef or the place justice. The family that owns/runs the place are very sweet and helpful. And, most importantly, this place has the best Lo Mein I have ever had. I also had King Pao chicken, which was good, but just a normal Chinese dish. The Lo Mein though, great texture, savory chicken, and maybe the best feature, the noodles (most likely typical egg noodles, but orange). They have a surprising and great flavor and a great aftertaste that made both of us have to struggle to stop eating them. Definitely give these a try! read more

Ordered lunch order of broccoli and chicken and the chicken pieces (that I tried to eat) seemed to be either all fat or very rubbery. After chewing on those two chicken pieces I took the food back up front and asked for my money back. The lady working the front didn't seem to want to refund my money at first and was giving me attitude for not liking their food, but eventually she did. A two-star rating was due to her poor customer service and the fact that I did not like what I ordered. Perhaps something else may be better. I doubt that I will ever find out. I have eaten here on and off for almost 20 years and seen many owners/operators come and go. This place used to serve great US/Chinese food - however, this operation has to be the worst by far. Order taker barely speaks or understands English and the food quality has tanked. Orange chicken made me gag - deep fried chicken guts - no meat, just batter and a sauce that tasted like rusty iron. Peppered steak was onions and green pepper with slivers of beef that were at least tender.. Fried riced was more akin to rice-a-roni. The broccoli was the only item that was decently cooked and fresh. I'll be on the lookout for the next owners to come through before I return. read more

Stopped by here during lunchtime with a coworker. Food was delicious. I tried the Szechuan Shrimp and my Coworker tried the Mongolian Beef. Food is so tasty and fresh.
