My husband and I visited Racine and stopped by Uncorkt to see what it was about. It's a large space filled with wine, beer, and a little shop. There are tables and seating towards the front of the store and an event space upstairs. They have large coolers filled with individual bottles of beer, wine and other beverages. I was impressed by the variety I believe Uncorkt has something for everyone to indulge in. They also have a nice selection of snacks. I was a little underwhelmed with the customer service. There were two employees working and a couple of customers enjoying a bottle of wine when we arrived. None of the staff made eye contact with us or said hello. We browsed around a bit and when I picked a beverage I took it to the counter to ask about their process....do we pay then find a seat, do we start a tab, etc. The person that I spoke with informed me I had to pay for my beverage, and was very short with me when I asked clarification questions - I couldn't get a smile or laugh out of her. I'm sure masks make it hard to understand each other, but the whole interaction felt awkward and not very welcoming. Later a local family that this employee knew came in, and she was very nice warm to them, so I guess she just didn't want to warm up to me. My husband said the other employee was helpful & friendly. Experience was very lack luster, station 1 User Tony B. 08/09/23 04:43PM Our clerk/bartender was actually an older woman with glasses (not the owner Tony B) that wasn't too accommodating, almost shorted us (my boyfriend and his mom were also with me) on a round of our flights, and was a little, uptight?...overall. Made me feel silly thinking I was mistaken,....Then hollered across the floor to get my attention to explain how she was mistaken. Very weird vibes overall. Bar was full so we sat near the windows at the tables and mostly had to go back to refill our flights . Great wine, but service and courtesy was skewed! Will not be going back. read more

Best customer service I've ever experienced. I called to ask if they had a wine I had on the Spring Wine walk. A red blend with a mustached dog on the label. Tony looked and couldn't find it. I thanked him for trying. 5 minutes later and my phone rang. He not only found out the name, he said he would try to get more and let me know! We were provided with a gift card for Uncorkt and happy we had a chance to check it out. Setting is quaint and comfortable. Cindy guided us through a flight of wines, all of which were excellent. The store itself looks nice and there is a decent selection of wine. The woman who was working was quite rude and unfriendly.

We rented the upstairs for a baby shower and everyone was more than accommodating! The prices were decent and the space was a very good size! It wasn't a huge baby shower but we wanted a larger space (rather than someone's house) due to COVID. So this worked out perfectly! You could easily have a larger event here, maybe up to 100 or so people? The parking is a little bit of a pain but there is a parking garage around the corner. My suggestion- park in front and unload your stuff (if there is parking available) then go to the garage. read more

An absolutely wonderful and amazing place! I was spending a weekend with a friend, and as we were exploring downtown, a woman came up to us and said, "you have to try Uncorkt. It's a women's owned wine bar, shop, and there are also cooking classes held there." Truer words have never been spoken! My friend I and visited twice! The atmosphere is so very inviting, and the two owners couldn't be more lovely. The also recommended we try Olde Madrid for dinner, which was absolutely delicious. Lots of kitchy gifts, pleanty of wine selections, but the best was the tasting menu - $5.00 for 5 wines? That works for me. Hours are somewhat limited, only open until 8pm on Saturday and 6 pm on weekdays. I would visit incorkt again. read more

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs room at Uncorkt. Everything went smoothly, the staff was so kind, helpful and professional throughout the evening. They were also great beforehand in helping with wine and beer selections. They were so accommodating for any request we made and the room rates are very reasonable as well. Keep in mind they don't have a kitchen, so you will need to cater in food for your event. We had food brought in from three different caterers/restaurants and it all went smoothly. All in all, my wife and I (and our families and friends) were very pleased in our decision to have our rehearsal dinner at Uncorkt! read more

This store has a great selection of wines, micro-brew beer, gifts, and select food items to pair with the beverages. They offer tastings every day with the selection changing weekly. The staff is very knowledgeable and can steer you towards new items based on your personal preferences. There is also a private party room upstairs where they have classes and you could rent it for your own event too! 2012 Update - I do have to confirm the place is much less personable than when they first opened. Staff definitely chat around with each other a bit much and should probably pay more attention to customers. read more

Attending a wedding upstairs at Uncorkt. The service was really nice and the room was decorated beautifully. A sampling of wines was served which I found to be nice because I could try different ones without having to purchase several glasses. Downstairs in the main area is a cute little store that sells all types of wines, beers and anything wine related. Nice gifts and nick knacks too. Overpriced, snotty/snobby staff. They think that they know something about wine, but they only know what they are told and they parrot that back to you, or they pimp the wines that are obviously on special or that a rep told them to sell. I used to live in The Bay Area of California and I would go to wine country once a month, so I got to know the wineries therein, coming home and having my sister tell me about this place, I thought that I would go get my mum a nice bottle of wine. Looking for a few wineries I knew, not only were prices DOUBLED, but when I asked about a few wines, I was told that those were not good wines and steered towards lesser wines at a similar price point. Needless to say, the staff was pimping those because they DIDN'T know and were selling towards profit and not taste. I'd go to Piggly Wiggly for wine before ever setting foot inside here again. Thank god I live in CA and can just run around the Central Coast and Santa Ynez Valley and get my wines there. read more

Wonderful atmosphere, tons of choices. There is wine tasting daily 6 wines usually 3 white & 3 reds for only $7.00 and if you purchase any of the wines from the tasting you also get a discount that day. All the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and make the experience fun. I love this place! read more

I do not feel some of these reviews are valid or they are posted from really pissey people. I think the new store owner Tony is warming up to being in business. I'm sure it is somewhat overwhelming to know everyone and everything. However, the selections of wines are always good and the sisters talked about by Missy is way off base. I have lived in Racine for nine years and this is my go to store because Victoria and Cindy are super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. My wife and I never miss an opportunity to stop into Uncorkt when we are in town. What a great asset for downtown Racine! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and have always been very helpful. We live in the California Central Coast wine region and are surrounded by world class wineries. We used to live in the Bay area and visited Napa and Sonoma routinely. So we are lucky to have access to so many great wineries, yet the 2 or 3 times per year we get to Racine we always make it a point to stop at Uncorkt. We have been going there for years and were pleased that the new owner Tony has made a great place even better. We've have always been pleased with the recommendations given and have never felt like we were being pushed to buy one wine over another. What a great place!! read more

We used Uncorkt's upstairs space for our daughter's wedding and reception. The staff were very helpful from the beginning plans to the very end when we walked out the door after a lovely evening of celebration. The space was great for our smallish group and worked well for both the ceremony and dinner reception followed by dancing. read more
