Just plain Rude. Hey Carolina Moon, don't offer your customers a free t-shirt on their birthday if you're not going to be nice about it. The cashier was so annoyed with having to redeem the tee shirt coupon. No smile, not even a verbal Happy Birthday or even a thank you for the purchase I made along with the shirt because I felt guilty for redeeming a free shirt and not buying something in this outrageously overpriced store! This is a GREAT store with many options to choose gifts for yourself or someone special. Must be prepared to spend more than average on items as they carry specific lines like SCOUT, Corksicle, Totally Bamboo ect. They also monogram which for special items you are purchasing for weddings, showers, and birthdays. The store hours could be improved as the holidays are approaching. We stopped in at 3:50pm on a Saturday and were told as we entered by a staff member that unless we knew what we were purchasing, the store was closing for the day. 100% DONE with Under the Carolina Moon. I won't buy one thing from there ever again. I will only shop at Palmetto Moon from this point forward for the same stuff. My wife and I combined spent hundreds of dollars there over Christmas and have every year they've been open. Today we tried to return a keychain and we were told no. No refund and no store credit. DONE! Mean it. Won't be buying local from them ever again. $60.00 cost Carolina Moon a customer for a lifetime and an awful online review. read more

Pretty neat store but very expensive. The clothing was all for smaller ladies. And I'm not sure if they were over staffed and the employees were bored but I felt like they thought I was a theif or something. Several different people kept checking on me and hovering around me. Made me feel uneasy and upset. My purse is a mini Kate Spade backpack and I wonder if that is why the employees took turns following me around but honestly it's no bigger than the typical purse size women wear on their shoulder so I don't understand. I'm new to the area and haven't gotten out much and saw the store, pulled in and thought it was neat, I wanted to look around at everything.
