The straight forward food philosophy has also been applied the hamburgers and souvlakis. I'm not sure what variety they use, but the oil is clean so it doesn't taint the food. They also have it at the right temperature so the chips are crispy on the outside, moist in the inside. The fish batter while not the lightest in the world is freshly applied to the fish, which also seems fresh. If you eat it soon after it has been prepared you will not be disappointed. The older guy on the grill doesn't talk much, but the service from the women in the blue aprons is quick and reliable. I for one am hoping time continues to roll past this one.

Their appetizer of fried chicken tenders was so yummy, and came with a cheesy biscuit and cracked pepper white gravy. This was my first time seeing southern-style gravy at a restaurant in Australia, so obviously, I was stoked, that biscuit and gravy combo took me straight back home, and I loved it. I already prefer this venue over Le Bon Ton. Not too compare siblings or anything, because Le Bon Ton has a lot to offer, but I thought this menu was more intriguing. Love the setting, it's not dark and voodoo-ish, like Le Bon Ton. There's a sunroof portion letting in natural light, with wood everything. Staff was hands down, amazing. The pastrami is thick, smokey and not like any other I've had in Melbourne. Thicker than what they use on the poutine. These bagels were a bit on the pricier side but the ingredients were fresh and worth the money.
