But I was so happy when I arrived at the sunscreen section of the pharmacy - so many options that are reef safe, and not tested on animals!! I ended up going with the Natio SPF 50 sunscreen as it had been recommended by a friend. The 'screen was regularly priced at $15.00. The customer service here is truly exceptional. When I was taking a gander at all the options, an employee came over to me and asked if I had any questions or needed any help. I told her I was just taking a look and she told me where she would be if I needed help. When I checked out, the woman behind the counter could tell by my American accent that I wasn't local, and she took the time to warn me about the sun here and told me to just make sure to reapply sunscreen when I'm in the sun. The pharmacy is small but still has a great assortment of health and beauty products, and lots of options for vegans! They stock quite a bit of the Natio range and have a wide variety of supplements and vitamins. I'll continue buying my sunscreens and other health/beauty needs from here! I generally head here before I go to the doctor because the pharmacists are really helpful and often have exactly what I need which means I don't have to pay a hefty doctor's bill. They definitely know their stuff and know what products are best. I was there and an assistant came over within two minutes of me being there and helped me with what I needed. And when you're not feeling too good so good retail therapy often does the trick. Here they have so many amazing perfumes! I could spend hours trying them all out. And also, I buy my makeup from the ladies here too. There's loads of different brands so you can pick and choose from them as you please.

The prices are generally not too outrageous for a pharmacy, and the service is quick, although the staff at the front till are really less than friendly, the ones down the back who deal with scripts are really nice. I've had some excellent bargains here too, including Dr Lewinn's products for absolutely dirt cheap, and the range of makeup is much better that at other Queen Street parmacies.

I can't be alone in this. Bearing that in mind, the service here is kind of disappointing. I mean not outright rude or anything, but definitely not friendly, and even to call it polite is being generous. I know it must be boring working as a cashier at a pharmacy, but suck it up. The people you're serving probably also work boring jobs (this pharmacy is in town, you know), and they've probably also got hayfever or bunions or something - that's why they're here. You don't have to sympathise with every single one of them, but yawning and rolling your eyes is not helping anyone. You're not too good for this job - you know how I know? Because it's your job.

They seem to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the products they offer and if they don't know the answer themselves, one of their colleagues is sure to be able to help. I prefer to shop here than anywhere else these days as if it wasn't for their help I would have been sure to use the wrong product on more than one occassion, with faily disasterous results.

They also have a few nice gifts; these are all quite female-orientated though so probably the sort of thing you might buy for your mum or grandma. The shop assistant was super nice and kind of greeted me like I was an old friend (slightly overwhelming but better than nothing at all right!). As well as prescription dispensing, they offer ear piercing and passport photo services too, and even have an Android app which, although basic, can be a handy way of arranging prescriptions and communicating with a pharmacist when you need to.

I love using Net Pharmacy on the internet and going to the store. These guys are really, really…read moreeasy to deal with. The online store is packed with everything you would visit a pharmacy for. Over the past few months I've ordered everything from iron melts to blister support for sports, and everything has been delivered swiftly. The range is great, the cart and checkout are really easy to use and the delivery comes quickly - what more could you ask for? In store, the staff are helpful without being pushy - they will give you advice if you ask for it, point you in the right direction if you're lost, but won't stand over you like a school teacher while you make up your mind. I would happily recommend going into the store and shopping online.

So what can you expect to find in an outlet pharmacy/beauty store? Many things. Need to bulk up? They sell fitness supplements, protein powders, carb free foods and other concoctions to enhance your gym workout and if you manage to sustain an injury they have a good first aid section too. Need a gift for granny? No problem, this is talc and soap city. There is also a great range of shampoo, conditioners and other hair product. They sell large salon size product too, so many washes for such a low price and loads of hair accessories. Nail polishes, make up and perfumes and skin care are more towards the front of the store and often you can get yourself some pretty good bargains. For example I once got a tub of Freeze 24/7 moisturiser for $50 instead of $135 and it wasn't expired. Do check the expiration dates though, usually they tell you if they are close to being past their shelf life but you never know. Regarding this pharmacy, the chemist actually remembers my name. Now I know my name and other details are provided as a result of a prescription. But beyond that info, to be greeted each time using my name makes a big difference to me. The chemist and staff are friendly. The chemist, for example, will ask me about how 'this' treatment is going, or 'that' medication. Not announcing to all in ear-shot, but discreetly. The other staff seem to work well as a little team, and seem to be well informed regarding their products and services. I am absolutely 'in-like' with this team at Leabank Pharmacy. My GP is just a stones throw away, at Leabank Health Centre. The convenience of both, but particularly the 'friendly professionalism' keeps me coming back for more. Well Done!
