Marko is the best skate shop expert around. He has an extensive inventory of decks, wheels, trucks, hardware and more. I went to him for some skateboards to use as props for a new show. He was able to get them all set up and designed for the actor and stunt double to use. We went with an early 90's shape deck and wider trucks and old school wheels. Everything is legit to the 1990-91 time period of the show. As for knowledge, Marko has been around long enough to know most any type of skate related question you could have for him. I caught the owner Marco at the shop in the 2 hour window he was open on a Saturday, much appreciated ! He helped me set up a fresh unified shop deck ($30 can't beat that) and taught me about the 2 types of pressing used in making decks, hot and cold press. Cold press, like fresh juice, is better because it doesn't mess with the fresh natural state of the wood as much, retaining its snappy tightness giving you more pop ! Unified decks are cold press and this one has mad concave. We also went over the progression of deck size over skating's history, landing on the holy grail size of 8.25 that 70% of people skate these days, so I'm trying it out. My family and I went to two other skate shops before this one My child only sort of liked one of them but absolutely loved this shop. My child knows what they like and will only get that. Satoshi helped my child find exactly what they wanted and what would work for the skateboarding they want to do. We are replacing an old too large board and Satoshi helped my child find a board that is perfect for them and fits their personality. Then Marco helped them choose a helmet. I started them on my longboard, but they were wanting to get their own and start doing tricks. We got to the shop, immediately met with a greeting by Marco and an apology due to scattered inventory, which didn't bother us at all. Well this review is long overdue. I came here looking for roller skates and was ridiculously indecisive on brand, fit and color. Marco was really helpful and patient with me even though I was littering his floor with a pile of skates. When I was sitting there trying to decide, I couldn't help but notice him with his other customers. He was so down to earth - especially with this one kid who wanted to play it cool but clearly didn't know much about the components of skate boards.
