Their current site used to be a recreational area including a driving range, swimming pool and batting cages. What prompted me to write this review is their production of the drive-thru Living Nativity scene. Really cool. Very well done with 10 different story stations. Even the donkeys and bonfires are real! This is the sixth year now for this activity. I was told that last year they had over 1,200 cars that viewed the display. It takes a lot of time and effort of many people to make this happen. When we stopped by tonight there were about 10 cars waiting their turn to drive through. This event is for the community so if you have a chance, drive through. My DIL Aleah expressed an interest in seeing a live Nativity and I was finally able to deliver this year-a great experiential early Christmas gift to her. I really liked the drive-thru stations and the fact that it was obvious that family members, the whole family, participated in the live re-enactment. There were also a few llamas, a nice and fun touch, and with a little imagination they almost reminded me of a middle-eastern camel! The pastor was so down to earth, so gentle, so kind, so loving. The choir, along with the pastor played some blue grass gospel music in honor of my friend's husband; it was his favorite style of music. They created a visual/audio DVD of my friend's thoughts about her husband and a history of their relationship; it was precious, moving and very touching. This is a small congregation that gets to know each other, helps one another in tough times and supports their own as well as outside missions and ministries. If you're looking for a church home that has a small town feel-in no way a mega church, as my brother calls them, you may want to give Lincoln Presbyterian Church a try!

They're a nice church as I have gone inside to drop off Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for their kids project since this church is a local collection location. Their church volunteers who undertake this centralized collection process really have a lot of organization and work to make sure everything goes correctly and smoothly. I admire them as most of them are elderly, and they told me they'll keep being a local collection center until the Lord tells them otherwise. I appreciate this church committing and continuing with this task each year bc it's getting harder and harder to find a nearby collection center and even bigger church in the area have stopped being a collection point. The congregation at St Andrews is smallish, but has a wonderful sense of community. They are also welcoming. There are two focuses that Dan has tried to instill in his congregation. Community and knowledge. There are many activities through out the year to be involved in and small groups to join. To live a healthy life, I feel that it's good to be involved with good people who support and love you. The second is knowledge. To get that Dan organizes or hosts a myriad of small group studies. The church itself is nice and in good repair, with cool stone lines inside to ward off the hot Galt sunshine. Our priest for the day (there were four children being baptized yesterday) did a nice job of welcoming everyone, doing his requisite serious sermonizing and also offering a little sense of humor. And yes, my new little Godson made it through the full mass and ceremony like a champ -- with no crying even when he was getting passed around and being sprinkled with holy water.
