Old bay Dozen Wings and crab dip fries
    Tawnee H.

We came on a Sunday afternoon where they only had their late night menu. We decided to order a variety and got old bay wings, crab dip fries, and cheesesteak egg rolls. All of the items were hot and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. We'd definitely come back especially to try the full menu.

    USG French Dip

French dip sandwich is incredible. Friend had the BYO burger and was very impressed. Husband had the shrimp and steak and enjoyed the flavor of the steak. Service is mid level but friendly.

Salmon tacos. Salmon was a tad overdone...and they were a tad on the spicy side. Not overly bad, just not my preferred taste.

The husband and I popped in to grab a bite. Cynthia, the bartender and our server was great; friendly and attentive. I ordered the Brussels sprouts...not sure how I'd like them as I'm particular with my sprouts. These were delicious. Interesting...but delicious!! The husband ordered a chicken sandwich of some sort and enjoyed it. My salmon tacos were ok. I did fill up on my brussel sprouts so I only ate 1...not sure I'd order them again. We'll definitely head back and try other items on the menu.

    French dip Buffalo cauliflower

Well, the cauliflower wings went down the tubes. Not the same anymore. Heavy breading, small pieces, not a healthy alternative any longer. So weird....they were so awesome last year. Sliders were decent but we came back for the cauliflower wings. I never understand why people change a good thing.....Ah well....

    Cheesesteak Egg rolls

Haven't been in years, but always remembered them having good food - and they still do! We weren't sure what the dine-in situation was, so we made a reservation in advance. Tables are seated every other and spatially distance, staff is wearing masks, tables being sanitized in between and QR code for online menu. Everything on the menu sounds very good and I like that they offer a little bit of everything. The portions are huge! Our table split the egg rolls and salad was enough for two meals. The chicken was nicely seasoned and moist. I also like that they use spring mix and not the traditional iceberg or romaine for a taco salad. The shell was extra crunchy and didn't get soggy. If I lived closer this would definitely be on my regular to-go list.

Smoked meat platter & honey sriracha salmon

AMAZING!! Shannon was quick to refill our drinks, very attentive and is easy to have a conversation with. The crab dip had great flavor; the brioche chips were baked perfectly. The smoked meat platter was packed with flavor and was a perfect portion. I definitely recommend the honey sriracha salmon, it had the perfect kick to it with the perfect balance from the vegetable blend. Couldn't wait to dive in!

Pastrami sandwich and Philly chicken sandwich

Great find in Columbia, PA. About 40 min from Hershey. The crab dip over Old Bay beer battered fries was great - a house specialty. Right mix of salty and creamy. Followed that up with sandwiches. Craig had pastrami (genuine house made) with onion rings - all was really great. I had chicken Philly - pick your toppings which made it even more delicious. I got provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles with Dijon mustard. Bread was soft and crunchy and all was well flavored. We will be back - worth the drove.

Food: I got the Olive burger platter. Burger (bacon, cheese, LTO, house sauce served with coleslaw, large portion of fries and a cup of soup). Everything was good (sides and burger bun/ toppings). Unfortunately where it disappointed was the burger itself. Although it was angus ....the preformed patty with dried up edges , vaguely freezer burned taste and ordered medium was served very well done. So unfortunately the star of the show itself... the burger... is not recommended.

Then she said, "you know who does great tuna salad? It's a diner over in Columbia!" But she couldn't remember right there what it was called. I googled diners in Columbia and I read back to her she shouted , "Black Olive"!!!! I'm here with two friends but didn't order tuna as it's breakfast and so I ordered eggs Benedict with turkey sausage instead of the Canadian bacon, and lemon on the side since I love my hollandaise sauce tangy. I get my order but not as I requested. Canadian bacon is in there and turkey sausage on a side plate. The hollandaise sauce looks like melted cheddar and no lemon on the side. Worst of all I cut into the poached eggs and they're too hard. Well I was just too disappointed in their skill level to ask them to redo. Our amazing waitress was trying to talk me into ordering something else if I didn't want a redo. She had a manager come by and I told him what I ordered and how I got it. It was ok I didn't want to trouble anyone. He insisted they'd get it right so I gave in. A few minutes later he presents me with jiggly poached eggs on top of turkey sausage and wedges of lemon. I will say I was impressed the second time around, though the hollandaise sauce needs work! Here's a quick blender recipe Ingredients: 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp lemon juice, pinch salt, 1/2 cup hot melted butter. No need to make it from powder. You "can" taste the difference! Over all very happy with the cleanliness, service, attention and will be back mid March for that tuna sandwich. Mmm can't wait!

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.

Hinkle's Restaurant is an old-fashioned soda fountain and restaurant. Their menu has a little bit of everything - and so many classics: burgers and hot dogs, haddock, crab cakes, a fried oyster platter, liver and onions, sandwiches and wraps, salads, pierogis, all-day breakfast, and more. When I arrived this past Saturday for lunch, I asked for a seat the bar/counter, since I was enjoying a solo meal. The service at the counter was great - friendly, fast, helpful. I ordered the Old Fashioned Shifter ("a favorite of Pennsylvania Railroad workers; the Shifter is ham and cheese, lettuce, tomato, sweet pickle, and mayo"), fries, and a Lime Rickey. The sandwich was great - simple and delicious. The Lime Rickey wasn't my favorite - I thought it was just a bit too artificial-tasting and syrup-y (some fresh lime juice would've made a big difference). But overall, I enjoyed my meal! The restaurant itself has a lot of charm. You can see the history in the space, but its recent renovation also means that it's a very comfortable restaurant - historic but modern in the ways you want a restaurant to be, too. I enjoyed my meal here. I'd happily return!

She did a really good job of helping us figure out what to order instead. The food was solid. I ordered a spinach salad and tater tot's. I was really impressed by the freshness of my salad and the chicken was clearly cooked to order and well seasoned. I wanted something healthy after eating out for multiple days on end, and this dish made me feel so much better. My dad went with the roast beef which he really enjoyed and kept commenting on the tenderness of the beef. My mom and brother went with the crab cakes and the hot dog-which they both finished completely and reportedly enjoyed. For dessert, my parents went with ice cream and lemon meringue pie. I didn't try the ice cream because lactose intolerance -but the bite of the pie I sampled was delicious. There is also an adjacent gift shop next to the restaurant which had tons of different gift options. They also offered us free candy for international women's day, which was a nice touch! Hinkle's is definitely worth a visit, and I'd especially recommend a visit for families- and don't skip on the dessert!
