1-Didn't have the tools for the job. 2-Didn't know how to do the job. 3-Never showed up on time. Details below. 1-Attempted to sand a large room with hand sanders (presumably to save money on renting a push sander). Only after days of predictably bad results did they finally spend some of the cost deposit on a push sander. Since the push sander didn't reach under cabinets or hard to reach places, those areas just didn't get sanded down to wood. 2-Used rollers and a squeegee to apply the stain almost like they were coating a driveway. 3-I honestly don't think that they showed up on time ever (one time for four days). Excuses ranged from: "I emailed you last week. [receives a screenshot showing no email received] "That's weird I swore I clicked send;" "had an appoint at 9 forgot about;" "meeting lasted longer than expected;" "I had an emergency;" "just notice that my email didn't send;" "I'm on another project today;" "alarm clock didn't go off;" "just went and bought a truck;" "I planned on being [there] yesterday and had to change the fuel pump." Four-day refinishing job turned into almost three weeks. Never sanded the old stain off (see photos of old stain remaining along all edges of the floor, footprints across new stain (see photos). Spills, spots everywhere (see photo of one of the better ones). Destroyed the baseboards. My kitchen floor is not just unfinished. It is basically vandalized. They worked at my Moms last week, ripped up the carpet, and put down new laminate. They removed the baseboards with no damage, removed all the mess and hauled it to the junk yard. They were respectful and courteous. Moms very happy with her new floor and next job on the list is the backsplash and decking. Thank you Guys! read more
