October 2024, went to have an MRI with contrast. It took about three hours. I knew something was off. Sure enough, they called a few days later and said they'd made a mistake and had to repeat the entire procedure!! (FYI, contrast should be limited and is tough in the kidneys). I went back, had to do it ALL again. They offered no apology or discount, although I spoke to the owner voicing my extreme displeasure with not only having to waste my time, but with the overall discomfort of having another procedure with contrast. Since the moment I called to make an appointment till the time I left after doing my brain MRI, everything was better than what I have expected. It was easy to get an appointment, easy to send my Doctor's prescription, the front desk lady was very nice, I waited a few minutes until Carlos took care of me, did my MRI and went above and beyond so I feel comfortable. I've been there twice. The first time I had to wait 90 minutes past my appointment time. This time I went in on a Friday 5;45 appointment. The told me they were running late. I asked how long. 45 minutes. I threatened to leave and get my scan elsewhere. They offered to change my appointment to another day and time with no guarantee that I wouldn't be wasting my time. Finally the took me 15 minutes late (I think they jumped me ahead of someone else. There are other imaging Centers in Aventura. Go elsewhere. read more

I was so nervous going in for a pelvic MRI. I am super claustrophobic and freak out in closed in places. But the staff made me feel so comfortable and all are so friendly. I want to give a shout out to a few of my favorite people. Katy, James, Carlos, Josh and Tahima, thanks for putting up with me. You guys are the absolute best. On a side note, to anyone who is claustrophobic, I suggest bringing a blindfold and putting it on prior to them putting you into the tube, I brought one and it helped so much. This center treats their patients with contempt. After arriving early for my appointment (scheduled for 3:30 pm), I was made to wait for 30 minutes and then was told I had a "phone call." An idiot identifying himself as the "Front Desk Supervisor" was on the line and took 5 minutes to tell me that "someone" made a mistake in scheduling and they "couldn't fit me in." The only time they could see me was at 8:30 PM. This isn't a luxury for me--I need this imaging because my spinal discs are torn and I need treatment. So I agreed to return at night and was told it was "no problem." It is, in fact, a problem. My time is valuable. When I returned, the building was completely locked. I tried both sets of doors and knocked and the security guard didn't move. Inside, a custodian was mopping. I called the center and was immediately disconnected. I called again and the receptionist said she didn't know the building was locked. She let me in. However, I was not seen at 8:30. I waited and waited, and was told other patients were having their imaging done ahead of me. I will report them to the state, but if you are looking for an MRI center before this one is closed, go to any of its hundreds of competitors. read more

Very rude reception staff. We were waiting for our appointment and they just cancelled it at the last minute and were rude. We really needed this appointment, our doctor was waiting for the results, it was urgent. We will not trust this clinic anymore or recommend it to anyone. Stay away of this place !!! I paid a copayment before my MRI but they were calling me for months asking me to pay, my copayment was not in their records. After that, I looked to set an apponitment for an ultrasound. I called several times, I sent several emails, I even went to their office but they never gave a date for the appointment which I finally had it in a different place. read more

I dislike the location but my doctor prefers this center. They were really nice when making the appointment but when I asked for a late appointment they wouldn't give me one. Now I'm waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time. I was even told to get here 30 minutes early for paperwork which took 5 minutes. Average south Florida service. An hour from arrival to test time is a bit to expect from someone. No concern for working professional people. Yes, I tried to make a late afternoon appointment, but they were not accommodating. Next time I'll just go to my local center and not drive out of my way for the same philips mri machine that everyone has. Let me start by saying the service at Unique Imaging in Aventura was Excellent! The place was very nice, clean and ran extremely professionally. What I like most was that every staff member I encountered there was so nice, greeted me with a smile and was clear as day that Unique Imaging has a very polished process in place from start to finish. Let me break this down for you as Unique deserves this praise because they really deserve and earned it. Front Office - scheduling and getting insurance approval was seamless. On my visit I was immediately greeted with a friendly smile. They were ready with all the documents for me to fill out and were clear with all instructions and copays. Appointment Time: my appointment time was honored but I will say be patient and courteous as sometimes this may not be the case. I was happy I was seen when I was told but I would have been fine if I needed to wait it happens. My Name was Called: the gentlemen that called my name was super nice and clear on instructions. Great private changing room and the restroom was clean and enormous. He walked me to the next room before seeing the technician. Technician: friendly and very clear on what I was to expect during the MRI process. Took very detailed notes and listened very well. He made sure I was comfortable and began the process. MRI Complete: when I emerged out of the tube lol the greeter that brought me in initially was waiting for me. He then walked me to the changing room then the exit back to the front office. He noted that I would receive a CD copy of my MRI in a few minutes and that the doctor would have the results within 48 hours to my doctor. Front Office: within 15 mins I had the CD in my hands and I was on my way! Parking: they have a garage and they will validate your parking which is awesome! Honestly Unique management and staff I commend you for being so friendly, professional and having that process in place. It did not go unnoticed. I completely recommend this place if your insurance accepts it! Congrats Unique!! read more

HORRIBLE !! Last year they called and asked if I could come later that day. I agreed, only to walk in to a waiting room full of people still waiting to be seen. When I asked how long before they would be seeing me, they told me they couldn't give me an exact time...but that I'd have to wait 1.5 to 2 hours. I rescheduled and left. The nerve of these people... if you're that far behind, you need to start calling people and rescheduling... This last and final visit was even worse. The seemingly inexperienced techs poked and poked in trying to put in an IV in my arm. I've always been told I have nice, thick veins... once in, they kept moving it for some reason leading to me passing out, rescue was called, etc., etc. I pleaded they went ahead with the scan I had gone in for, once I recovered about 30 minutes later. On my wait out the young lady at the front desk told me I could wait for the CD which I wanted to bring to my primary physician. I waited, and waited and the front desk attendant kept telling me it shouldn't be long, but they had no way to really know how much longer it would be. So, after 45 minutes I told them I couldn't wait any longer and left. They told me "Sorry it's taken so long, but it'll be ready when you come back for it". I called back TWO WEEKS later and they told me they'd have to burn the CD...go figure! I recognized the young lady's voice and reminded her that she had told me that it would be ready when I came back. She argued that it must have been someone else. I told her I recognize your voice, it was you that told me... she then asked how far I was? I told her I was in the area... she said "Ok, stop by...I'm going to burn it now". Having seen how they work... I killed 1.5 hours in the area, and they still did not have it ready, but was told to sit as it wouldn't be long. I knew this to be BS, as they had told me several times in the past...that they didn't know how long it would take. Waited 20 minutes and had to leave...as I had an elderly relative waiting downstairs in a car I left running. Terrible! To add insult to injury...the same young lady I've dealt with all along...gave me attitude. I'll go back to get my CD...but won't be going to Unique Imaging ever again. read more

I've had ultrasound, CT and almost had an MRI at this location. The staff is friendly and professional. The parking next door in a garage is convenient. They have a good cafeteria on the main floor. The bad part is get your MRI elsewhere. I was there one day for an MRI to make sure I didn't tear my rotator cuff. I was in pain. I've got big shoulders and the Hispanic female operating the MRI machine was trying to stuff me into the machine. At one point she touched my injured shoulder trying to push me into the tube. This caused pain at which point I demanded she stop and remove me from the machine. I got up and left immediately. She had zero compassion for my injury and no concern for my comfort. I was very impressed with how courageous, kind and Professional this place was. The technician called me the day before to give me my instructions and made a personal connection with me, giving me her name- Isis. I was greeted with a smile, Isis came out right away, was watching for me to arrive, sensitive to my need to have my test done right away after drinking 32 oz of water. The exam went very easily and smoothly, giving me a blanket as the room was cold, and warming the sonogram gel. Check out was efficient and I left with my CD in hand! New to this place , it was a little hard at first to find , but once I got the correct building , I was greeted by a crowded waiting room. The receptionist named Gina could not of been more helpful even though she was bombarded with people in line asking her questions ,checking them in etc.. She could not be more professional, helpful , friendly. I guess we all got off the same bus but she handled it with a friendly smile! Once everyone signed in we all were checked in and she accommodate us with a clipboard etc. in a timely manner that I couldn't believe! Great job Gina, I have to say I only waited about 18 minutes then Louis brought me right back, was very friendly helpful I explained I just had surgery and he help me get situated on the table for my CT scan,. He also was very professional , quick , & kind much less got the job done & got me up and out of there in no time, The longest part was waiting for my CD which you know , you better not leave without it or your doctor won't be happy with you! I also got to meet Katie who was very kind at the reception desk , She's the one who called my name to let me know my CD was ready, I asked her how to get to the parking lot and she explained it to me so all in all I must say it was a great experience here and will be my new place if I need another CAT scan done! A nasty woman called me from an unknown phone number and wanted me to answer personal questions over the phone, something in this day and age of scams, frauds and identity theft, anyone would be foolish to do. Apparently this nasty person then called my doctor and complained and decided that they didn't want my business. Too bad, as I deal with hundreds of people each week in my business and when I hear that any are going for a medical test, I will certainly let them know of my experience with this company. Someone needs some serious training. If one of my staff told a client we didn't want their business, I would have at least reprimanded them, and depending no how bad, maybe even fired them. this place is clean and convenience and open on weekend and late evening thats why i made my appointment went there last Saturday, was confuse by the parking area but call them and get in no problem my appointment is at 9:30am and i came out at 11:30pm, after wait for an hour i have to ask the front desk lady whats going on and they send me in the back but still wait for another 20-30 mins. remind you there were only two patients before me and they all gone by 10am-ish, so i dont understand why all the waiting ? after the appointment, i walk out without getting sticker to leave the parking (otherwise i have to pay) so i have to walk back and catch the staff before they left overall its a clean and convenience place but i hope the staff can be more proactive and on point, i know its Saturday but it doesn't give you excuse to give water-down service read more

I would stay away from this place at all cost. I had an appointment and when I showed up the MRI was down. It is understandable and so I rescheduled my appointment. When I went for my MRI I was informed my copay was 400 dollars. When I told them I had insurance they give me some line that copays vary. Obviously that is just BS as I called my insurance and was informed that my copay was only 40 dollars. What happened was they didn't even bother to run my insurance and just decided to wing it when I arrived. This place is poorly run and I suggest that you go elsewhere. read more

Never have I dealt with such unprofessional and incompetent office staff. DO NOT SCHEDULE or visit this location for any medical services. Starting from the front of the house to the Lady manager. This office and management staff is so incompetent that they lie to the patients in order to cancel emergency appointments scheduled for MRI weeks before for them to leave the office earlier and have the patient comes back at their convenience. They even argued with you over the phone that your case is not an emergency in order to cancel your appointments. Stay away from this office completely . This is our 4th time experiencing this behavior from this management office and the manager has lied and promised to follow up and nothing has happened. A most formal complaint. Will be follow against this office staff in the next days. A staff like this is not to operate freely in our neighborhoods, is unprofessional, they are liars and incompetent. read more

I had an ultrasound for the first time at Unique Imaging because they took my insurance, it was close by, and it was much more affordable than my gyno's office. Isis was my technician. Let me say she is a very warm and personable lady. She was amazing and went above and beyond when my doctor failed to have trans vaginal ultrasound specified on the script. She had me call my doctor's office and get a faxed correction ASAP. Another place could have just said sorry and have me reschedule, but luckily I had Isis as my tech. read more

I had a pet scan done. Gentleman who performed scan was excellent. The girl at the front was not. Called my name and gave me the disc they made for me. When I got home it was some one else's disc. I had to arrange a ride back to get the correct disc. They would not mail it to me or my doctor's office. Very poor service. read more

They accommodated me at no cost, even though I took up time in the machine that first trip that could have been spent on someone else. For 20 years I've been having pain in my back,going over 20 times for MRI in Brooklyn and Manhattan ,few times in Florida in different places and never could be for more than a minute. A neighbor told me about the place in Aventura,Unique Imaging. I was so sure that again I won't be able to go thru because I'm very,very claustrophobic but decided to go check it out. The people were so nice to show me the place ,so I decided to make an appointment.If any of you are claustrophobic this is the place for you.As soon as you come in the girl in front Jasmin is so nice. When I went in Grace and Karen ( I'm not sure of spelling)were so wonderful and very helpful.They made me so comfortable and were very,very nice.I had MRI this morning and still don't believe that I went thru with it.
