The concert was at 9:00 PM so it was dark. The park was lit up with pretty lights strung between the huge old oak trees. So pretty! There was no restroom in the park but on our way out of the concert we were able to use the restroom in a college building across the street;) I would love to visit this park during the day and I would absolutely attend another concert here as well.

I didn't use the "facilities," so I can't comment on the cleanliness or amount of bathrooms.

Don't get me wrong, the homes are beautiful and the history behind them are rich, but it is definitely overhyped. I was also surprised how different it looked in person compared to photos online; I don't know if its the photoshop making the houses look so vibrant and colorful, but the real thing seemed a bit more dull. If you're already in the area, you should definitely see it for yourself, cause you've got nothing to lose. But don't go out of your way to come here, or you may be slightly disappointed like I was.

Well, this place is definitely haunted. The energy here makes the atmosphere thick with the suffering of those who perished here. It's a long walk, but nice if the weather is fitting. This is worth a visit, especially if you're into American history. George Washington stayed here while visiting the area. Also, Thomas Heyward was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. While it's not a vast mansion, the house is nicely decorated and the garden in the back was a good touch. The audio tour was informative and allowed you to go at your own pace. The staff here were friendly and helpful. The house is also near a nice residential neighborhood and close to Rainbow Row and the water.

I will make a note that there are lots of birds and they are not afraid of dropping ppoop from above. My cousin was a representative of that, as well as someone else we saw in the park. There are lots of statues with history in them as well. On a hot day, the sea breeze feels great, and in the winter, it can make it much cooler. There are lots of homes that look out to the park and give it a vibe that is out of a movie. There are sidewalks and ramps in the area, but sometimes there are a situation of off-road driving is needed. As not all of this is ADA-compliant. We got to see some cannons as well as the place where they were fired from. You can see lots of dogs and its leash free park, so you might have a four legged from come say hi. There are still rules about how they have to be friendly, and that you still have to have control over your pet. There was a gazebo in the middle that was a great place to take a break without fear of bird poop falling from the sky. Overall, it was a great park to visit while getting some history.

The tour ran a few minutes over 2 hours, and none of our group was in a hurry to be done. It also was where the first shots of the war between the states was fired. You can listen to the partially correct/revised history by the "Moderna"Ranger Talk, or search the real history before going. The first is entertaining for sure - the latter more worthwhile. Great place to visit and learn about the history of the area and the nation.
