I have already dealt with many of the offices in the county and I have to say that I have been impressed with the attitudes and great service provided by the employees of Mason County. I was also very impressed to find out recently that in the main county building #1 that you can have documents notarized at no charge if you are a resident of the county. There are two people in different departments that can do it and you just have to ask around to see who is available.

Do know it is just a bridge with pretty views. We did go a little out of our way to come here and it was a quick view. We stopped our car just in front of the bridge and walked along it. The forest surrounding it is stunning. All your Yelp photos will look amazing. Do know that there aren't any public restrooms here. It feels like it is almost a part of the road. I'm not sure if there are any hikes nearby, but I did love the views we saw.

The western public water access (Mason Lake…read moreRecreation Area) has been purchased by a private company, this it is private and is only accessible to the public on certain days. But you can still park at Mason Lake County Park where there is one boat dock and a small picnic area. The water here is more green since it is a shallow inlet but it is extremely clean, perfect for swimming or kayaking. You can kayak or SUP past the inlet but boats will be zooming past you. In any case it's a great spot for the summer, but there will be lots of boat traffic at loading and slow boats trying to get out of the inlet and into the lake

Nursing at WCC is a dynamic blend of emergency, outpatient, and inpatient care with a diverse population and abundant opportunities to educate patients who are openminded, eager to learn, and ready to take charge of their health as they re-enter society. Away with the stigma of corrections nursing being unsafe. There are officers present with all patient interactions for safety and security, unlike my time in the ED where I was subject and witness to multiple staff assaults. Low patient ratios, excellent teamwork, opportunities for education and upward mobility, compensation ~20% higher than hospitals in the area, comprehensive benefits (pension, and regence PPO Health insurance) Nursings best kept secret.

Its a very toxic environment and management knows all about it... yet they do nothing. Governor Jay Inslee should look into WCC and fire everyone in management. P.Paterson is a horrible supervisor. She will lie in your face. Right now she is being investigated by the ethics board. That should tell you what kind of manager she is. Please run away. Working for WCC has great benefits for retirement but that does not hold good nurses there. P.Paterson will make sure if you are a great nurse and you decided to challenge her, she will make your life a living hell. Like I keep saying, please run away. You have been warned.
