Just an absolute joke. The staff was completely awful, rude and I called them out on it. They weren't helpful whatsoever and even gave me all the extra supplies I had to purchase for free because they knew they were in the wrong. I will never support USPS again after this experience and taking my business to other companies who understand excellent customer service practices. I stopped by to drop off a package but they were short handed and closed for lunch - as I was walking back to my car to leave, the gal I see working there most of the time caught me in the parking lot and told me to come back inside and she'd unlock the door. This is for the Middletown branch of USPS in Louisville, KY. The mail lady is refusing to give us a Christmas present that a vendor sent. This is theft. I tried calling the Middletown branch. Apparently they don't know how to answer the phone. From reviews the service is crappy. I will report our package as stolen to the police. read more

One of my hobbies is sending letters to people or small gifts in the mail. I hear it brightens people's day. I don't know that from personal experience. This post office is darling. It's not very large, but has several post office boxes for rent, all the supplies you need to mail things hither and yon, and the friendliest post office staff one could hope for. I am always quickly in and out of the post office, even when I come unprepared. One of the things I like the most is they let me pore over the current stamp offerings available to me. I am particular about everything in my life and the stamps I put on my mail are no exception. If you're important to me and I'm not using a postage meter I have carefully considered the stationery and the stamp. That they have patience for this is huge for me. Judging this against other post offices around the country that I've used I have to give them all five stars. They really do a good job. read more

I love having a Post Office and typically go out of my way to send packages via USPS instead of other carriers. This Highlands location is super convenient, more spacious than expected, and mostly helpful, but I gotta say, one of the employees ("Clerk 12" on today's receipt) goes out of his way to be controversial and today was the last straw. I was the only customer in the store when Clerk 12 asked me about the destination of my package (Michigan). "Not to get political," he prefaced, before spewing unwarranted conspiracy theories about the current state governor. He then says, "I've never heard anything good about Michigan." Well, buddy, I never heard anything good about Kentucky until I moved here, and I was trying to simply send a package to my parents - preferably without defending the governor of a state in which I don't even live. Especially insensitive as her life has come under threat recently. Turns out the only good thing about my home state, as this rant concluded, is the one and only Ted Nugent: Awkward! I'm sure anyone who has been trapped in an unwelcome interaction can empathize with this situation, and I wish I could write it off as an exceptional event. Unfortunately, this dude has a habit of interacting with customers in this way and I'm frankly tired of it. During this entirely one-sided interaction, I tried my best to find out when the package would be delivered and what method(s) were available, while Clerk 12 continued to prioritize expressing his unwelcomed opinion. The other employees are exceptionally great here, and I'll still come to this location in the future - but unfortunately, I'll be a little more prepared to be on the defense during a most basic and neutral interaction: sending mail. read more

This post office location is fine. I try not to visit the post office more than necessary, because it's never all that fun, but I have stopped at this location to drop items off and I've never had any real issues here. If you need a post office stop, I think this is a fine spot. read more

Some of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. "Clerk 27" specifically always looks annoyed that you dare to walk in there and expect her to do her job. I had an issue with a package I'd sent being returned and she told me I'd have to pay to resend it, even though it was USPS that screwed up. It was the fault of someone on the receiving city, but this employee was unnecessarily rude and unapologetic. I was told I'd have to contact the USPS in that city, and when I told her to forget it, I'd just go to UPS, she yelled after me with a sarcastic response as I walked out the door. I would like to continue to support the USPS, but this unprofessional attitude seems pretty common there now, so I'm done. read more

Post offices might not be the typical fare for a Yelp review, but just indulge me for a moment. This post office is the friendliest post office I have ever been too. The ladies who work the front desk are fantastic. I really got to know this post office during the holiday season, when it was chockablock full of people. Despite the fact that a small horde of package-lugging customers were waiting in front of them, the clerks were friendly, lightly chatted up each customer and quickly sent them on their way without feeling rushed. When I got in line, five or six people were in front of me, but I was in and out in 10 minutes. I also got in line a minute or two after closing time -- so, so sorry! -- but they let me in and didn't show any frustration with this fact. I've gone back several times since then and have seen nothing but smiles. This post office is smaller than most, which makes walking around to get envelopes and labels sometimes difficult. But I will deal with that if it means I can get in and out quickly and easily. read more

This is a pretty good, very small post office branch. There is very limited parking- some on Highland Avenue (metered) and a very small lot (to the left of the post office entrance) just left of the ATM. Sometimes there are two clerks on duty, but many times there is just one. read more

There isn't too much to say...it's a United States Post Office. It's fairly small, so it can get crowded, especially with only 2-3 staff working the counter (there are only 3 spots), but the staff is generally friendly and helpful. It's probably not the cleanest or best maintained location, but it serves a small area, is in an old building, and well...the USPS is having a rough time these days. read more

In case you're wondering why this USPS is worth reviewing about, read on.... It's not the best USPS I've been to, and far from being the worst so I give it a 3 stars. The location (for me) is good, because it's close. If you don't know this USPS and you need a post office, just make sure you plan to park either at meters or there's a small parking lot attached to it, but it also serve Chase and one other business, I think. The PO is small, and usually has only 1 person working the counter so try to go when it's not during lunch hours or after work. I usually find the mornings to be the perfect time to go. Check the hours because they have some interesting hours on Friday and weekends. Let's support the post office still!!! read more

I have used this post officeduring and after the holidays and I will continue to use it as it is the closest location to me but I do not like. The staff at this location tend to be rude. During my first stop here, the lady working LOCKED US IN (a line of about 8 people) because it was ridiculous that she could get her line down, then had to let people out out by one after she "helped" them all while audibly swearing and slaming doors and throwing pakages in the back room. At the time I did call and leave a message at the phone number I could find main office but I don't know if anything was ever done about it. Still every visit since then has been met with rude employees when the postal patron were actaully very friendly. read more

I always regret coming to this location, but it is so convenient! The line is always 4-6 deep no matter what time you go. I've never seen more than 2 people working the counter, and usually only 1. So the line crawls. I got to know my neighbors in line quite well at the holidays, some of them were even passing business cards. Prepare to be here for 15-30 minutes.There isn't a self-service kiosk, so you are stuck waiting. The only redeeming point after your wait is that the staff will be friendly and helpful.
