There is a reason why some people are in tue back and not at the counters. Overall the past 5 or 6 years, the staff has been friendly and helpful. I ship regularly. I ship large padded envelopes with packets in it. Today there was a new sign. Please do not place parcels in this box. Not being sure, I walked my packages into the post office mail slot. As I was outside departing and noticed a gentlemen with a cart, in a dingy sleeveless tank top & unusual hard had. I inquired, if he was with the post office. Some highlights of this post office location is that it's kept clean, all the staff are extremely friendly, and there's a small space with a long table and separate recycling/trash bins on each end for you to go through your mail. The hours are slightly longer than nearby locations too which is a plus. Some downsides I've found however are that this location gets very busy especially on Friday & Saturday's so expect to wait 30+ minutes waiting in line. The cost of the PO Boxes are pretty high in my opinion too. read more

They are driving ancient trucks that have neither A/C for when it's roasting out nor heat for when it's cold. Not the friendliest staff or the fastest service, but I do like the ease of mailing letters by utilizing the drive through in the parking lot. Often I find myself mailing important time sensitive items, like birthday and holiday cards, at the last minute. I have lived here for many years. The staff isn't the bubbliest, and I can tell by some reviews, that's what people are expecting I guess. I for one LOVE my local post office. The workers are very helpful, from loaning a pen, to helping you with some extra tape when you didn't do the best job at home, I've even borrowed a handcart for large boxes. Passport service here is great too, got mine in just a few months time. Best of all, They don't bother me when I have my headphones on, the self service machine works fine, the lines can be long but they move quickly. I try to avoid the post office at all cost because of bad service. But I was sending out letters in bulk and ran out of stamps and needed more ASAP. I waited in line, which I didn't mind doing. I get called up to the next available person. I walked up with a smile, said "hi" and stated all I needed were stamps and pointed to the ones I wanted. Then asked if they had international stamps, in which he replied, "yes," so then I said I'd like one sheet of international stamps. He walks to a nearby desk and gets me what I asked for, rung up each item, I inserted my card to pay, he handed me my receipt, and I said thank you. This whole time he's got a dead, miserable, look on his face, was chewing gum, and besides saying "next" to call me to his desk and "yes" to answer my one question about international stamps, not another single word. And this is why I avoid coming here. This is not an isolated incident. Everyone who works at the post office is miserable. I understand customer service is difficult, so I try to show those who work in it respect, politeness, and positivity, but if it's met with a crappy attitude, then I don't bother coming back. Most of our packages have gone missing within the last few months. Some of them are starting to turn up and were delivered to houses blocks away with completely different addresses (thank you to those who marked them return to sender instead of just taking them)... Similarly, within the last year we've received a shocking amount of mail for other people that don't even live on our street or share a close number or name with us. That being said, we've been vigilant about checking for packages outside very often, several times a day. It's 12/31, and I just got a slip pushed through our door saying that they tried to deliver a letter on the 22nd and that I could pick it up after the 24th. Okay... where did this come from? I make sure to walk outside and look around when I check for our packages and I can tell you this slip was never on my door. Going in to ask doesn't seem to help much, either. read more

Most post offices are SLOW. And ALWAYS slow. And never apologetic or kind or caring. Of all the times I've come here, I usually spend 5-10 minutes and the counter staff are friendly and kind. I had a visit on 10/27 where I spent 45 minutes and it was an absolute nightmare but what can you do? On average I would give USPS one star because they usually do the bare minimum and don't give af's. I feel like the staff here is 70% friendly and helpful. For the most part it's a good experience and good service. But I've definitely experienced poor service, therefore 3 stars. Horrible Horrible Service from Post Delivery People We used to have a great postal delivery person but now, for the past 8 months or so we have the worse possible person ever and one that should be fired! First of all, I wonder where my mail is actually going???? I am definitely NOT getting all my mail and I get other people's mail. They have sent back international packages (I know because I had the shipping label photo emailed to me and it was perfectly correct, readable and filled out); I'm not getting bills when I know they should be in the mailbox (luckily I can check online); and now today, I know tickets ordered are overdue and probably I will have to reorder to pick up myself. As far as the US Postal service goes this is our favorite location - and that's a great thing since it is our local one. I have brought plenty of packages here and the staff are always very friendly and try to get through the long lines quickly. I have had a PO Box here which went great. They have an all hours machine you can use to get stamps (which I do frequently) and packages which is super easy to use and rarely has a line. I have also used their services to get a passport which went very well and fast. Thanks to them helping with our photos and the forms we got our passports accurately and very fast. I guess now you need to get an appointment but I highly recommend doing that! read more

In trying to get the IRS to accept my tax return after my identity was stolen, I sent documentation per their request via certified mail and after nearly four weeks it's still not there and nobody with the post office can tell me where it is. In the last few years USPS has cut back on employees and we all have felt the effects of this. The hours were changed in the last few years as well. I, like most every American, loathe the thought of heading to the Post Office. And in this day and age, it really isn't necessary to go but once in a great while. I particularly despised the location in Hillsboro that was near my house, so I was wary to head to my new local office. Surprise, surprise. I headed in at around two on a weekday, and wouldn't you know it they had three counters open and there were only four people in line. From my vantage point it appeared that each counter had a generally nice, not so surly person behind it and the customers were equally as passive. When it was my turn the woman who helped me was very nice and let me borrow her pen without even casting a judgmental glance my way. A very short time later I was on my way out the door. I love this post office. Even though I've moved closer to another I keep coming back. The hours are great and the staff always friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking all around. I also like that they have a flat railing that you can slide your packages on as you wait in line instead of having to hold them the whole way. read more
