If I had the option, I wouldn't give ANY stars after Saturday's interaction (or lack thereof) with this Olive Branch, MS. Post Office! I understand that they couldn't send out their carriers with the ice/snow on our streets this past week - and I don't have a problem with that. But the lack of communication, miscommunication, and failure to have the window open during the posted hours is irreprehensible, rude, and irresponsible. When I arrived at 11:50 AM, Saturday, January 31, 2026, the service window was closed, even though the posted Saturday hours was listed as 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. There was 6 people in line in front of the service door and they informed me that they were trying to pick up their mail/packages as well. The lady at the front of the line (and 1 of the other gentlemen in line) informed the rest of us that they had called ahead and were told that as long as they arrived prior to 4:00 PM and had identification that showed their Olive Branch address they could retrieve their mail/packages. The lady at the front of the line would occasionally knock on the door and ring the buzzer on an alternating basis trying to get one of the ladies in the back (that we COULD SEE AND HEAR through the mail slots) to come to the door and allow us to receive our mail/packages or let us know how to go about doing so (or when). After approximately 15 to 30 minutes of knocking on the door, ringing the buzzer, and pleading with the staff through the mail slots, one of the ladies finally come to the door and spoke to the woman at the front of the line basically telling her that she didn't have the authority to hand out mail to us. The lady at the front of the line informed her that she had called ahead and were told that as long as they arrived prior to 4:00 PM and had identification that showed their Olive Branch address they could retrieve their mail/packages. The USPS employee then told her she would have to check with a supervisor on the matter and that she would come back to let us know - in the 45+ minutes that I was in line she never returned to the door to do so, even though after about 10 minutes we resumed knocking on the door, ringing the buzzer, and pleading with the staff through the mail slots. No further communication from anyone in the back and no sign hung on the door or window stating whether or not we had any options. While I was there, we had people leave and others join us in line for the same reason - to pick up our mail/packages, but we never had less than 4 waiting in line. If any of the USPS employees had come out and talked to us or hung up a sign on the door stating they were currently unable to retrieve any mail or packages at that time (and if the person or persons that had been called earlier told customers the same message), I think all of us would have gone on about our day and followed up on this on Monday. Some of us might not have liked it (especially those that had called ahead and been told to come on in), but I think we would have understood and moved on instead of standing around wasting our time. The Olive Branch post office should be renamed Hood Rats Post Office. attitudes, no smile, slow, excuse after excuse why packages dont go out on time, why they take forever when they reach here to get delivered. its like you should feel privileged to walk in here by their attitude. back end managers or what ever they call them are no better as they have they same attitude when asking questions. i would trust a crack head to get my packages out than these idiots. read more

My wife, myself, and our 2 children scheduled an online appointment to get passports (July 28, 2025). We showed up, on time, but were rushed back out of the office (by Gwendolyn) because "I have other people waiting". Calling her unprofessional would be an understatement. She kept rambling about how "4 people called in today. I just don't know what's wrong with y'all young people." We sat for a while (with our 2 small children) and remained silent. She stated "They need to deport y'all young people and let the Mexicans stay. Mexicans show up to work and they don't mind working long hours." We are the same skin tone as she, by the way. She had no idea what she was doing, or what was required. My wife and I have since received separate emails asking for missing documents. We paid 60.00 per application to have them expedited. An extra 240.00 and we still have to wait and mail more documents. Something is seriously wrong with that very bitter, angry, elderly lady. Hello OB post office , I would like to know why my mail gets to my house so late . I live at 9897 Seminole Drive , about a mile from the post office . I use to receive my mail around 5;30 or so , but not anymore . It's more like 6:30 or 7:30 and have even had it delivered at 9:30 . That's kinda late , don't you think ? You need to hire more drivers or reduce the route my delivery person has to deliver mail . I think this is very poor mail service and am not happy with your service . 12/1 Olive Branch Post Office delivery driver delivered my package to the wrong house. 12/7 the delivery driver supervisor says she will get someone to bring the package to my house because they located the driver and where the package was dropped off. 12/9 the supervisor says she asked the substitute driver where she dropped it off and call the driver that's out to stop by the home to pick up the misplaced package. Now the person that has the package is committing a felony by keeping it. USPS is not working hard enough to get my package that with items I paid for. This is so unacceptable and the worse Post Office staff in this area. The Post Office in Memphis is more caring about their job than these people. read more

I've had a few bad experiences at this post office with the same older rude lady to the far left and she's always there. It's not okay and never acceptable to have rude people working for establishments and especially the United States Postal Office !!! I see there are other complaints about the same lady , management you should not let this go on, it's a Real Problem that makes me want to drive more Miles to another location just to avoid her !!! This post office has a lot of good carriers. This post office has some bad carriers too. I've seen hard working men and women day in and out delivering things people here in this city. Some of these people are also horrible like many writing these reviews. The entitled people of this town expect things to be on their schedule even if it is not realistic. Some of the carriers are a problem, many of these carriers are amazing people who work diligently. The clerks up front seem a tad slow at times, but are mostly helpful. They are slow at distribution of the parcels. The management here is atrocious. From the regional postmaster on down to first line supervisors it's a scratch my back I scratch your world. So for all you Karen's out there talk to the over 30 carriers working and find out which ones are hard working keepers, and which ones need to be fired. read more

This place is horrible. If you need to drop off packages go to Southaven or any other post office near by. This is the second time coming to this one and both have been terrible . Gwendolyn is very rude and makes her own rules up. Says their is a limit in scanning packages which is not true. Won't accept prepaid labels that are dated a day before . In my experience all U.S. Post offices move slow and have disgruntled employees. I haven't experienced anything different from this location. It's always a nuisance to have to come here so I try to go to UPS instead even though it's more expensive. read more

I think the Olive Branch Post Office has decided to work a 4 day week. I never get mail on Mondays any more. For a city this size, that's pretty amazing. Unless, they are holding mail back for Tuesday delivery, that's about all I can assume. I was expecting an important letter, but I guess it will have to wait until the whims of the Post Office staff in Olive Branch, MS are satisfied first. If I could give zero stars I would. 1) They have been mis-delivering my mail for a couple of years; I frequently get my neighbors mail from 2 different neighbors and they get mine. 2) They never answer the phone if you call to complain because... 3) They do not care about customer service! All this is no surprise... they are government workers who did not have to compete to get their jobs and they don't have to give good customer service. Like the rest of the government they are inefficient at best. They give terrible service because they will never be held accountable or fired for poor performance. This shows a great lack of character ...but then again ,what can we expect! Their salary is paid by us but they don't get that; they act like they are doing you a favor to help you. This is a formal and public complaint against postal worker, Gwendolyn Pryor at my local post office in Olive Branch, MS. I have had a post office box (573) since 2018 since I moved back to this area. I have experienced several encounters where Gwendolyn has been rude and disrespectful towards me and other consumers. July 11, 2022 was the where I'd had enough. Gwendolyn was so nasty to the point that I had to speak to the postmaster, Terry Adams. A few minutes prior to speaking with him, I asked for Gwendolyn's name because she had NO badge or ID to identify her. She was wearing no badge or ID. At first when I asked her what her name was she would not answer then I asked her again. Finally, she said "Roxie". I started to walk out of the post office but I turned around and walked back and asked for a manager. Initially, I spoke to Faustina Thornton who stated no one by the name of Roxie worked there and then she got Mr. Adams, postmaster. Mr. Adams also confirmed no one but that name worked there and their badges should be displayed at all times. I told him this was a formal complaint. He also assured he would take care of it on his end and that I needed to call 800 number for USPS. When I called there was never a prompt for me to file a complaint. Although I paid for a PO Box there I have avoided going in the post office for the last 6 months because of Ms. Pryor's poor attitude and disrespect. I witnessed her be nasty to an elderly man one day who looked as if he was 85 plus years old. Despite age, sex or race, no deserves to be treated in this manner. My boyfriend went in the post office and he even came back and told me how nasty she was. Also, the reviews on Google reference her attitude and nastiness. I told Mr. Adams the Post office is fully aware of her behavior and they aid and abet an environment conducive for her to continue to act like this because there has been no reprimand. If there was reprimand then she wouldn't continue to act like this. He confirmed it's a process for this type of behavior but I told him I've been coming to Olive Branch location for almost 4 years and she's been the same nasty person. Why is government agent allowed to lie about her name and not have a badge to display?? I requested camera recording and I was advised by Mr. Adams and Ms. Thornton cameras do not pick up the actual conversation. Something has to be done despite the workers being part of a union. The union should not be backing government agents who lie on the job to taxpayers and law abiding citizens about their identity or lying about anything. Ms. Pryor's badge should have been Visual. She should have provided her correct name and not some alias or fake name. Lastly, her attitude in serving the local public community has to change. I dropped off a package to return for a refund. It has been a month. When I put in tracking number it just shows label was made. That's it! That evil old woman that works there is so freaking prejudice that I swear she probably took my package. I have done everything to be nice to her and she has been nothing but rude as hell to me every time I come in there. I mean she does not need to be in customer service! I have brought other packages in where I prepaid through PayPal and she charged me and extra $65 on postage! She hates everyone! If she hates her job so bad fire her! It seems like I am having problems herr lately. I had ordered will high priced lamps and both came in damaged at the Olive Branch Post Office. I am now getting a passport and I ordered this back around May. It got lost ,but it says it was delivered. It is August now. I am filling out a ds 86 form now. There lawn is unprofessionally taken care of. Weeds all over. I still havent got my passport. Glad i wasnt going on a trip. The way things are ran there. I would have to had cancel my trip. Olive Branch is getting to big and cant handle there growth. Look at Walmart in Southaven. 2 employees killed. Desoto county isn't that much safer. I've discovered that if you are nice to people behind the counter that they will respond positively with you. The same is true at the post office. Front office postal workers stand on their feet all day and put up with snarky remarks when a line develops. Their's is a boring and repetitious job. Kindness goes a long way to receiving exceptional service. The OB postal personnel always treat me respectfully and provide excellent service. read more

The postmaster at the Olive Branch post office should consider a remedial course in how to deliver mail or put me on the payroll. There are 6 houses on my road and for the past three weeks I have had mail and packages delivered to my house for five of them at least twice a week. I find myself frequently distributing the mail on my street because the current mail carrier doesn't seem to be able to work out all the street addresses are not at my house. I specifically looked this place up to leave a bad review. I have a monthly subscription box delivered to me here in Louisiana, but I noticed I am consistently getting it late every month. Tracking details always show the hang up keeps happening in Olive Branch. I don't know what's going on over there, but they've become a joke in my family. I ordered my daughter an outfit for her birthday in plenty of time to get it before her birthday. However the lady that was sending it sent it later than she was supposed to so there was some fear it wouldn't be here in time. I saw on the tracking that it had arrived at the post office so I called to find out if would be sent today (Friday) or tomorrow (the day of the party). I called the post office 3 times, getting the voice system then getting transferred to a person, then getting an "end call". Not sure if something is wrong with the phones or what. After the 3rd or 4th call someone answered. I believe her name is Nickie. I told her about my situation and she put me on hold a couple of time. She came back to tell me they have it but can't figure out if it's on the truck or not. She gets my number and said she will contact the driver to find out. Less that 10 minutes later she calls me back and lets me know it will be delivered today. She really seemed to care about my package and my situation. 3 stars for her and 1 for fact that I had to call so many times before getting a person. read more
