We are a church that preaches the Bible, shares the gospel of Jesus Christ, empowered for service by the Holy Spirit and exalts God. All people are warmly received from the first day and welcomed to the church family. We focus on the family, strengthening homes, solidifying marriages and training parents. We have activities for all ages from Unity Kidz, AWANA, to The Unit (Teens), The FLOCK for our college and Career age, Homebuilders for young married, The NEST for parents of teens and adult children and Prime Timers for our senior adults. We offer mentorship discipleship and intentionally engage our community to meet the increasing needs of the Tri-state area.

History

Established in 1837.

Starting from a log-cabin church in 1837, Unity began as Union Baptist Church. The name changed in 1858 when Friendship Baptist Church combined with Union to form "Unity Baptist Church". Unity today seeks to live up to its name, worshipping Jesus as a unified body. We are a church unified in purpose to love God supremely and to love our neighbor as ourself.
