They come and sit with you and talk to you when they see you are lonely, they hold your hand when you are in pain. They even give you massages when your back or neck hurts. Usually you don't have good memories when it comes to hospitals or doctors but in my case it has been the complete opposite. They list to their patient and make you feel understood. I tried this company for my mother after having an amazing experience with the Barrie branch of…read morethis company for my sister. The Montreal/Westmount experience was a complete fail. They gave us one their "star" caregivers to provide in home care for my mother. This star said she is not comfortable cleaning or cooking and did not know how to operate a PVR. She said she sees her job as sitting beside my mom all day. This might work if you're in a nursing home that provides the real care, but considering the company calls itself "homecare assistance," doing the daily things that the person can no longer do that would allow them to stay home should be part of the job. Luckily the company had no other caregivers available so we got out of the contract and now have wonderful caregivers we found privately who make my mom meals, keep the place clean and record and play TV shows she likes. Use this company *only* if you live in Barrie Ontario or if you can't find anyone to sit beside your parent in a CHSLD in Quebec.

The delay was really only a few minutes, which was no problem at all, but it was nice for a medical professional to acknowledge when appointment times are late. She was very efficient, diagnosing the issue and providing 2 treatment options, giving the price, and answering all my questions. The procedure we decided on was 10 minutes, she made quick, but expert work of it, and I was on my way in under an hour, from arrival, filling out forms, consult, procedure, after care instructions and payment. The office was clean and tidy. Very happy with them, and I would go back if I ever had another issue.
