I attended the class following that program. I liked the people and the spiritual philosophy so I started attending the services and taking the classes. The music at the 10:45 Sunday service is outstanding. I get to perform with a professional band everyweek and the songs are very current- no oldy-moldy hymns here. Rev Marquita is totally cool. When I am unable to attend I start to feel sluggish.

From their high regard for children, to their dynamic, entertaining and challenging messages, the ChangePoint family is truly a blessed bunch. The two main preachers, Dan and Joel, are a couple of the most intelligent, colorful, insightful and humble church leaders I've ever known. Dan is as lovable as Baloo the Bear and Joel seems to channel the personality of comedian Mike Myers. It's always a treat to hear either one of them speak. Sometimes I just feel like laughing and the two definitely deliver. The music ranges from Christian rock to beautiful inspiring melodies, enhanced by violin and cello. The singers and high tech crew put on a beautiful worship service. One of the most important teachings the staff at ChangePoint stresses is that 'Sunday church' is only a small part of what a church should be. This church family truly shines outside its lofty walls. They offer a great variety of volunteer opportunities for everyone to get involved. A Church is only as good as those who attend. The more effort one puts in, the more everyone benefits. Through ChangePoint, people are being served and cared for all over the globe. In conclusion, I simply couldn't be happier with the staff at ChangePoint. They work hard at fulfilling everyone's dream of an honest (financials are always available to view), caring, enlightening and uplifting church that one can open their hearts to and trust like family.

I'm not orthodox, so i don't totally understand everything that goes on here, but it's pretty interesting. I've been to weddings, funerals and baptisms here. There's no pews, everyone, except the elderly and infirm, stand through all the lengthy proceedings. Weddings are super different than Catholic and Protestant unions... very interesting if you ever have the opportunity. Potlatches at this church are amazing. The community of predominantly Aleuts can cook really well! Father Michael is really nice and the a Capella choir is haunting. If you are brave enough to step out of your comfort zone, St Innocent is an interesting way to explore your world without going very far.
