It is so sad to see customers being taking advantage of. This movie theater is so below any standards that Yelp should allow me to put -500 stars. No, this is not an angry review because of the horrible experience I had or because the blurriness of the screen nearly took my 20/20 sight away. So I'm going to point out the faults since there are NOT any good things to say here.
1. Location, not necessarily bad but the these people need to stop advertising this as "easily accessible" because is not, since without a car you very much on your own 2 feet since public transportation around this area are like UFOs, non-existents around movie time schedules...
2. The food, what movie theater on earth runs out Popcorn and soda when the theater fits like 20 people?... really?! this gotta be a joke, a real bad joke. That and the fact that apart from the price of it, snacks are not fresh or good in anyway-shape or form.
3. Quality. Theater was dirty man!! real nasty, like they don't care since they're the only movie theater around the area. The place smells and while it doesn't stink, it does smell. So avoid the bathroom.
4. Media. Well here's the kicker, in a world of ultra High 4K definition at home who would've thought we could've still encountered a movie theater that still down-scale the resolution of the new films and advertise them as HD. OMG!!! for a moment I thought I was having migraines and even ask the people I was with if the video was sharp enough. People, the thing was as blurry as a terrible stolen pirated film (those you see online on very unwanted pop-ups) and on top of that the 3D was so degraded it just gives you a catastrophic Headache. let's call this the 1974 movie goer experience.
5. The staff. Well home-run folks, not a baseball analogy!! Like really... Run Home... as in actually get the hell out of that place and never ever go back, like I did. (honesty I did go back one more time under the believe that it could've been a bad day but not, wrong I was... it was even worse). The staff was rude, unprofessional and highly uneducated... one guy had the cojones to even tell me "I just working here"... really dude?, I'm just asking, why isn't the Popcorn fresh as it should and as advertised and why is the soda so watered down and light in flavor like ice melted in or like that was someone else's old soda.
6. No refunds when something goes wrong on their side (really?!) or when you are unsatisfied with the service. So you're @#%ed!!!
... my recommendation. AVOID THIS PLACE AND DO WHAT I DID!!! go to Schweinfurt or even to that AWESOME movie theater in Würzburg that shows the movie in English and German and hear this... DTX sound verified, HD verified, non-blurry screen, huge and here's the kicker... nearly half the price including snacks... SO DRIVE 20 MORE MINUTES AWAY from this place and enjoy your movie like the producers intended, LIKE IS 2016 NOT 1982... but hey, that's just my 2 cents...
PS there's a movie theater in Bad Neustadt, dtx verified and pretty good on the snacks, accessible by train, close to Subway, McD, and all those awesome German restaurants. just so you know. read more
