We were staying next door at Hotel Feregrino and could smell the delicious scent of freshly made tacos every morning. Seriously, they have these massive vats of pork cooking in the front. You can sit down in the restaurant for a nice sit-down experience or grab to go from the front. They provide limes, hot sauce, cilantro, pico de gallo, everything you need. Tacos are MX14 (slightly above average price for the area, but not by much, and they are completely worth it), and they are AMAZING! Like rock your socks off amazing. Barbacoa and carnitas all day, every day. Also, they have an extensive and delicious breakfast menu. I miss this place so much.

It's stuffed with generous amounts of goat cheese and spinach, and has these twiggy onions that are so good! Seriously, get the Pechuga Relleno with a Mango Boing (or mezcal, whatever you want to drink). Also, they bring out warm bread with some delicious goat cheese spread while you wait for your food. They were closing in less than an hour but told be to bring my party in. We were immediately sat . Our server Boni attended us and made great recommendations. We started with complimentary fresh salsas and a savory cheesy bite. Very nice! One of the salsas had a real spicy kick, which I enjoyed. Also split and shared: - Sopa de Lima, a regional chicken and lime soup. Loved this! It was a light, brothy dish, and felt very nourishing. Delicious. Also tried adding some of the fresh salsas (as suggested). - Enchiladas Mole Negro. I'm glad I tried this one! Made me feel like I've never actually had authentic mole in my life.
