Acoustics can get really loud inside without all hard surfaces and zero sound dampeners, but outside is pretty chill. The place was packed, and I was honestly bracing myself for the worst. But instead of brushing it off or being too busy, Janie and Stephanie, the co-owners, immediately stepped in. They were asking around, checking with staff, and genuinely making it their mission to help me. About 30 minutes later, Janie found me and told me it had been turned in at the far side of the bar. The relief I felt in that moment, I will never forget. They were calm, kind, reassuring, and so incredibly gracious the entire time. And that is the thing about this place. Even when it is busy, you are not invisible. The energy here is off the charts. It is vibrant, safe, welcoming, and unapologetically queer. BIG primary TV centered around one area w several smaller ones by it and a row of TVs across the back of the long bar offers plenty of TV watching. This place is *exactly* what the people envision when all chant in unison that ~we want a Women's Sports Bar~ There's ample indoor/outdoor seating including spaces to lounge, women's sports playing on every screen (THANK YOU), and tons of diverse food options. Untamed Spirits is my new favorite spot in town! Having taken over the old Trophy Wife location in May and hard launching in June, I have no complaints (well, except for parking but that's LA). We've been here a few times over the course of the launch and watched the development of the space and menu. Management is very warm and open to feedback. Service is excellent! Tara was our server for brunch 2x and she is a rockstar. At the grand opening, she was getting plates out so quickly despite the rush. The vibe varies on where you're sitting and whether or not a big game is on. Perfect place to catch soccer, basketball, or men's baseball this summer. Patio is calmer with tons of seating and very dog and family friendly. At the grand opening, we ordered the brisket omelet, chicken sando (comes with an egg- nice touch), and my new favorite caesar salad which was plated beautifully. What an amazing vibe!! Came here to watch the Dodgers game because playoffs but this is the place to watch women's sports. One of the only places I'd say where you can cheer on women crushing it and feel a community of support with all the sounds and action of that sport front and center. I had the spicy passion fruit marg which of like a little tartness you will love. Its passion fruit is front and center and not too sweet, perfection in my opinion. A really nice sports bar with great food! Lots of TVs and a nice indoor bar area plus a large outdoor patio. Very dog friendly too. I've been to a few of the women's sports bars out there and this is so far my favorite! We went to watch the Indiana Fever game and they had on several other WNBA games plus the Dodgers game. I went there for happy hour which starts at 4:00PM, and my friend and I arrived just a little after 4:00PM and there were just a couple of other people there. We sat for quite a while and nobody ever came to our table. My friend had to go to the bar and get some menus for us. I won't go on and on, but that's how the service was. You'd get your drink and your food but they really didn't come to check if everything was OK. My ice tea was never refilled. Had to ask for the tab, etc. However, the food is super good. Well worth what was lacking in service. I had a Margarita Pizza on the happy hour menu. It was paper thin and it was perfect!! Wow factor and thumbs-up emojis inserted here! We have been looking for a spot to enjoy women's sports when it's played during the week where it's just not a bar where we need to ask to change the tv Channel to watch LAFC. As a sports fan I've been to several locations where they play live games, and I've never been rushed out like they did here..and we were rushed out so that they can show reality TV instead. The service was not great and I understand that its still fairly new, but even some people who came to watch the reality TV show ended up leaving and went home instead due to the lack of service. I also really appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms here. I've had the brisket tacos here before and found them too fatty but the shrimp tacos were better. This bar has many seating options: indoor tables with booth seats and chairs, bar high-top seating, high-top tables, and outdoor seating with televisions for viewing games inside and outdoors. I only wish I lived closer because this would be my drinking spot! Parking can be a tad challenging since it's off a busy street and metered unless you find a spot on that steep incline. Sundays no metered street parking (to date). I love watching games at this bar. The owners seem to be pretty hands-on and I've seen them really pitch in.
