I didn't realize until I got back to the hotel since the drinks and che were put in a bag and I didn't double check the items. If you order the 6 toppings milktea you can pick which type of milktea option and then you can get to the toppings area to pick your own toppings. I thought that was pretty fun. Toppings are pretty good I have to admit if you like Vietnamese toppings type cheese cubes and cute fun looking shape. Mostly jelly cheese cubes types and panna cotta type. All were good. Milktea on a little sweet side but if you drink with the toppings I think that was ok. Toppings size were pretty big and they actually gave lots of milktea filled up to the cup and less ice . One in a very few bubble tea shops that do this. Overall price is great for the quality taste and also size. I tried the Jasmine green milk tea and the Tropical mangosteen drink. As for the Jasmine green milk tea, the taste wise is good and strong, making it to a good quality product, and that drink is included with 6 different topping. I had the egg custard jello, pink color jelly (looks like a pomegranate, but it's not the fruit), jelly (flower shape), panna cotta pudding, and sweet yam jelly, and matcha pudding. It does not go well for me, with regular boba should be fine. But I do like the sweet yam one, it taste very good, perfect sweetness and the texture and softness, aka cooked well. The pink color jelly, the inside was not cook well, so still hard. Next time, I would just drink the tea alone with no toppings! I used the 75% sweetness (recommended) Ok, the Tropical Mangosteen drink.. now this is very well recommended for anyone to try it. This is a Summer drink, very refreshing!! I love the tropical fruits that they put in, mangosteen (this is a very rare to find) and I thought it will be sour, actually it is sweet!! I haven't had this in a very very long time.. so it's a real treat for me. So they put in longan, lychee, cut up pieces of strawberries and cut up pieces of guava. They purée strawberries and passion fruit, so u can taste the passion fruit flavors.. I also choose the 75% sweetness. This drink is just perfect and refreshing for any hot day!! And of, be careful when u eat the guava, because it still has the seeds, if u bite it, might damage your tooth if u don't have a strong teeth so just be careful when chewing the guava, and the mangosteen do have seeds also. As for the service, they do a pretty good job of making it fast, so u don't have to wait too long. The place is small, they do hv seats and tables inside.. and lots of customers come in when I was there yesterday... they also sells dry snacks and fruits... I would definitely come back to get my Tropical Mangosteen fruit drink!! If you're a big fan of Southeast Asian desserts, this is the place for you! I love that I can get a drink with all of my favorite things in one cup. Pandan, taro balls, coconut meat, and every type of jelly you can think of! The mangosteen drink was so refreshing (especially today because it was HAWT outside ), with the perfect amount of sweetness (75%). This last time I went in to try their new menu bird nest Longan drink that I saw on ig the Longan looked fresh and pitted. But the $7 dollars drink that I paid for rather had fewer almost spoiled Longan and the seeds were still intact. This is by far the closest you get to Thai desserts and fruits. This place has the best green mango and pickled mango, along with pickled tamarind and olives. They also have milk tea and Thai Che desserts. My favorite drink so far is the Tamarind Tea with Salty Plum since it's tangy and sweet and comes with shredded green mango and pieces of tamarind (also has kumquat). My other favorite is the Soursop drink. Their Thai Che is delicious as well. I keep going back - yes, it's a far drive from San Diego but it's worth every minute and penny. My family loves this place! We come here often whenever in the westminister area!!! We got the pandan, the oolong milk tea, and two of the fruit teas. The best part of coming here is the variety of vietnamese style dessert toppings. They allow you to add up to 6 for an additional price. One thing I will say is that the pandan does taste a little fake since it's made from syrup. If you want something more natural then getting one of teas would be best. Overall love! read more

I've been here once or twice before and in my memory, it was decent. I recently went back to order a milk tea and was told that a topping order can only get me "one" topping. Okay, fine. We came back today again to order their milk tea with unlimited topping options (yes they have that) but only to be told you can only choose 2 toppings of the same kind. Well...that defeats the purpose of unlimited topping no? Not to mention false advertisement! I was pleasantly surprised, it's an amazing shop!! It sits right beside another shop with the same name, only selling small snacks and some varieties of the jellies they sell. Ordering was quick and simple, you can either line up traditionally or choose from a kiosk. It is crowded, so ordering from the kiosk made it easier to see the menu. Our drinks took 10-15 minutes to arrive, but we blew the time walking around the plaza and in the sister shop. The shop reminds me of the ones back in Vietnam, the jellies as well. It makes for a fun and unique boba experience. The jellies come in a variety of shapes and flavors, my favorites being the cheese and coffee w/ cheese filling. Great price for what you get. The grass jelly had an odd texture--too powdery. There is also an amazing variety of milk teas and fruit teas to choose from, some I have never heard before. I've been coming to Unu Cafe since it first opened, and I've always loved their drinks. The staff were super friendly and sweet in the beginning. Lately though, some of the young cashiers and baristas seem very rude. I always come in speak politely, but the attitude I get back feels cold or annoyed. Like we're bothering them or something? Not just 1 or 2 times but this has been an ongoing experience. I get that dealing with customers all day isn't always easy, but that kind of energy really changes the experience. Visited on a Sunday evening and this place was busy. I got their limited time bucket drink option that comes with 7 toppings. You have to follow them on IG and they check to get this ordered. You order/pay then they call you after to chose/add the toppings. They have so many topping options and all the jellos are so cute! I got a few different jellos and boba. I liked the jellos over the boba the boba had a weird taste and texture. Also, the jellos tasted fresher. I got the jasmine milk tea with their recommended sweetness and it was strong and tastes fresh but I would get more sweet next time. I asked for less ice but there was a lot of ice still.
