We had planned on going to Michigan for a day trip, but with the terrible storm damage and wash outs - decided to change our plans. Let me just say our Sea Cave trip with captain Mike could not have been any better! We had such a great time. The boat was so fun and fast. The lake and caves were great. And Mike was very personable and knowledgeable. Also, their gift shop is very nice too. I highly recommend. And the only thing I'm disappointed about, is the fact that we didn't discover them sooner. About an hour and a half in we hit some mild rapids and it got worse from there. I am a beginner, but we should have been informed about the class two rapids. I was thrown out of my kayak three times and smashed on the rocks. We eventually had to portage the kayaks past the other rapids. There are also a lot of fallen trees on the river. You have to navigate around them, and some are close together, in fast moving water. It was a horrible experience for me. Don't think of bringing young kids on this route if they have no experience. Same for adults. I've been on kayak trips that are easy, and this wasn't one of them. Their website doesn't mention the rapids at all for this segment, if it did, I would have passed.

At least the temperature was perfect when we were using it.) Everything is clean and security is nice so you don't feel like anybody can just walk right in and use everything. At the clubhouse, there is a great area upstairs for hanging out and eating - a nice well-stocked kitchen - and everything you need to grill!
